3 months late but I would love to be able to say it from my point of view "Her" is simply feeling like all those memories and moments you had with those people or a specific person who are currently no longer there or just not like before So many of those memories begin to invade you, feeling vulnerable and wanting to return to those moments and wanting to change everything, simply not accepting to endure such deep pain but passenger. Thus falling into a void flooded with so many memories, things that could have happened, thoughts become so heavy that crying is the best thing, hating the present. No matter how new and good it is, you will always want to see someone, something, or even yourself again. It can be represented in ways that are more tragic than nostalgic, but it doesn't matter, you are just taking that weight off your shoulders, touching the most vulnerable side of yourself. Your heart and your feelings. Thus releasing the greatest internal cry of pain and sadness that was so hidden. A fracture, a true open wound from the depths. Nothing, an explanation that I couldn't let go, without anything more to say, I hope you're okay, take care of yourself.
@stvpidgrey_ 3 months late as well but I have my own little deepdive on "her" as well The whole songs pacing gives me the feeling of what it's like to find out you've lost someone you love, if you understand what I'm trying to say. Very low and ambient at the start before the beat kicks in. The vocals start and lyrics talking about your own fears, being with eachother, absorbing their warm embrace, absorbing their whole being, the beat starts. Finding out, getting that call, knowing you could have done more. The guilt you feel, the hatred you feel for yourself because you know if you did better they would still be fucking here. It hurts. Having to explain to your friends why they're no longer here, hearing them call you a liar and break down, knowing you have to be stronger and not join them, because its not what they would have wanted for you. The ending slows down again, grieving, trying to move on with your life, feeling the constant state of depersonalisation. "And it's cold in here, she's right here, yet she's so far away Something rips her away I reach my arms out in vain A split second of tranquility Pulled away before I could revel in it I stare vacantly at my empty hands I weep again" You just don't feel whole without them here.
Your reactions are like me when I discovered her years ago. Her stuff is so powerful. Again I like your vibes mate. Keep it up! I look forward to seeing your channel grow.
my favorite album of all time, i don't usually delve too too deep into dnb/breakcore whatever you wanna call it, but, this one hit in such a different and unique way it was something else. my favorite track on it has to be die alone, that breakdown with the beat in the end while theres a sort of serene sirens call is hauntingly beautiful
I'm the same way, I'm pretty surface level when it comes to the genre but die alone is such a special track. Definitely my favorite sewerslvt song as of rn
@@hi-low3141 based also great content and niche you found for yourself btw, keeping me interested often on what you think about somma the music I listen to
@@hi-low3141 Die Alone is really, really special for a good reason. It is the conclusion of this album, everything builds up and breaks when the breakdown comes, and the breakdown is just pure black metal / blackgaze sound like Sadness, which is one of Jvnko's (and mine) favourite artists of all time. You can hear Sadness' deep influence on Jvnko's music in all albums, but so much more in this one, it sounds like they had become one in this ultimate act od sadness and despair. Also "her" is named like this probably after Sadness song of the same title, they both share so many similarities that it's seriously suspicious. Jvnko used many samples of Sadness, this is a very big rabbit hole but very rewarding if you follow it, very few people know the backstory of how this album was created but i'm 99% sure they collaborated on this one, Damian from Sadness hinted to this and they both published albums with very similiar sound and atmosphere on the same day, when "we had good times together" was published. The name of this Sewerslvt album is also named in that very special way that Damian always used for his songs and albums. He moved to Australia at some 1 year before this album was made, and there are so many other connections, like 20 minute outro songs and lo-fi noisy mix. So he's most likely the one who played guitar parts, did screaming samples in the background and mixed it. This is his signature sound, and on this album you can hear both his and her sound intertwined
that song. number 13. her. i was observing an osu! beatmap of this song in the map editor when all of the sudden it clicked. i was no longer paying attention to the map, just the song. i knew i had to dash into my room and listen to it for-real-for-real. and it was almost like an outerbody experience. i slowly let go of my surroundings, just absorbing the atmosphere blaring from my phone speaker into one ear on my pillow. the compressed chimes felt as if they were cries for help, running low on oxygen. and the hazy atmosphere, after the chorus... there was a very brief imagination of the song i had, i was anxiously waiting for a second drop, but that never happened. i was left waiting, wishing, like the emotion of the song. truly done.
Her is definitely one of my favourite songs. it's hard to describe how it makes me feel without trying to sound deep, but it really is a tragic song. The "pinnacle of my existence" line pops into my head whenever I need to make a tough decision or commit to a new habit

ambience is a genre that has grown on me a lot, borderline is actually my second favorite off the album currently.
Why do u talk when the song plays? U ain't even listening at that point foo
there's this neat thing called multitasking, you should try it sometime ;)
