Rain gear is a definite must no matter where you hunt. I bought mine while living on the Oregon coast and it has been a game changer even here in Idaho.
Nice! Get planning it soon! Like I asked Justin and Colton during the series, "If you want to hunt in Alaska how early do you need to start planning?" Their advice was to start calling Air Taxi's as soon as possible. Some may be booked out for years so it's best to get on their list now! -Joshua
Also forgot to say thank you all this information is priceless. Gonna check out the safari packs. I’m in the Catskills of NY so pretty local to this guy. Thanks again guys great stories also
Thank you Justin and Colton for the great information on Getting ready for Alaska moose hunt Will you have gear list that people can print off God's Blessings to you both on all your adventures 🙏
So glad you guys are sharing this information. My son who is 17 his dream hunt is moose. So I’m hoping I can take him before I get to old. Lol. A hunt like this is way out of my comfort zone. With all this information it puts me a little more at ease. Thank you. Love all your videos.
Looking at the mariner 3 vs the mariner 4 for our hunt. Considering going with the 3 because it is quite a bit lighter. Would you guys consider it too small for a moose hunt?
We can barely get a moose in the 4. It is not as heavy as advertised. A huge chunk of the weight is the hard floor that comes with it. We throw that out and are only about 35-40lbs with everything you need
Took some serious notes on this one. Love this series so far
We're glad we were able to help!
Another option for flavoring water is getting little packets of propel. They're cheap and won't add weight and are high in electrolytes.

Great podcast! Curious how many fuel canisters for the Jetboil you take for say 10 days?
We used one medium canister each.
I got the pants on the ground reference 😂
Thank you for these insights on what it takes to plan for a hunt of a lifetime! God bless you all and your families.
