I got a solid 2" of rain yesterday as well so I hope you got that much or more. We're talking about going to the beaver swamp on our deer hunting lease and shooting at a couple of ducks. I just need to get by the post office for a stamp. Of course I need to see when it comes back in too. Some bad news on my end. A beaver swamp with a substantial pond on it (4 acre open and another 3 in flooded timber) that I've leased for the last 15 years was sold this past November 2nd and we lost our hunting rights. That was our duck hunting and pig harvest area. I'm going to miss that spot. It was a roost pond with hundreds of woodies on it at night. As for the pigs, it was pretty much a guarantee to see and get a pig when hunting for them.

Ohhhh nooo! So sorry to hear that, that is a bad feeling! Been through it myself.. had a pond that help hundreds of ringnecks and it was sold right from under our lease.

Looks great! I think got over 2 inches of rain yesterday so hopefully you caught a bunch. I think we've got more coming at the end of the week. One of my holes has a leak so hopefully this means I won't have to pump. Remind me when you planted the rice, please. I planted mine on June 19th and I think I'll shoot for about 3 weeks earlier next year. It is only now opening up enough to show a bunch of water from the sky.

LOTS of water, I have not been to the rice swamps yet but I am sure they are full. Hope the woodies have moved down in there
