Honestly this the one army where I'd say a 3D printer is the actual best idea. You have some INSANELY high quality files for sisters-equivalent that are just gorgeous and drip with character.

I got sold by one if the basic new Sisters with helmet tbh. Also worth noting: a Necromunda Redemptionists box gets you 2 each of 3 models that look very priesty. One has a good Vindictor proxy, and one has a melee weapon that could easily be swapped for a maul and a big book. The last one can have a flamer and be mixed into Novitiates to open up more bodies for character conversions, perhaps.
I liked Sisters since 3rd Edition and Witch Hunters but I never had any and fell out of the hobby :( My models that made really sold me on Sisters when I was coming back in as an adult were the Paragon Warsuits. I know a lot of people think they look silly but I love them so much. Also the Exorcist obviously. I don't think there's a Sisters player out there that doesn't love the Exorcist.

I'm kit bashing the sisters of silence from the Inquisition kill team box set with some stuff I've got laying around to make some witch hunters who will use the sisters squad rules for my agents army. I can then refurbish an old rhino and not feel bad it's missing the stained glass and fleur's. This is being done because up cycling, and it prevents me from having an easy inroad to collecting a whole dang other faction 😅
Got into 40k via gladius relic of war and sisters was my favorite to play there so here I am now with 4 barely opened starter boxes (old and new combat patrol, boarding patrol and army of faith) and 2 epic heroes, but now there's a fire and I can't prime anything without covering my models in literal ash. I've already started my sisters army (started with 2 combat patrols and and 2 boxes of warsuits because I like them) and now I've expanded to beyond 2k thanks to tournaments requiring me to not make bad lists (poor sacrasants aren't as durable as I want). However you have massively helped me with a conversion idea I came up with. I wanted to make a custom triumph of saint katherine because I'm playing bloody rose and while it would still be a holy honour to have her, I think a normal command squad would be better for bloody rose. Also I hate the idea of everyone using the same name characters everywhere (I'm looking at you WE players always bringing angron). I was planning on getting one of each character to put on the base to represent the holy command of the army but that was gonna double the cost of the model due to the conversion. The idea to use the pieces in the noviate box is really cool. I could convert it with some sacrasants + a spare canoness and create a slightly less fancy but no less awesome triumph. I then also get noviates to play with too!
For me it was the old metal Retributors. Those big underslung flamers and multi melta really got the cogwheels turning. That and the classic 2nd Edition Codex John Blanche art.
I feel like the same love you feel for the sisters is the same I feel for my tau, when I was in the shop the riptidie and the stormsurge completely got me, I was like, I wanna shoot the biggest weapons and use mechas but I didn't like the dreads or the knights, so ye, firstly I got the combat patrol, the old one (1 piranha, 1 ethereal 1 breacher 1 pathfinder team and the stealth suits) the I got a commander in enforcer suits, then a devilfish, and finally the riptide and I'm going for the stromsurge for christmas even if it's bad in the meta for her 400pts cost but who cares, I'm firing a railgun and I have a big ass cool model so, I completely understand you, you paint what you love, not what is meta

I then painted them gold and red as a joke for femstodes and thought 'this is actually a really good and easy colour scheme] so anyway I now have about 2k points. I got some 3d printed sacrasaints, some charatcers and bikers [that just looked cool] and got the hereticus box and that named sacrasaint model. Probably gonna get morgan vahl then i pretty much have everything i need.

It's worth noting for anyone interested in actually playing Combat Patrol as a game mode that the Sisters box is one of the worst patrols in terms of strength. It just has no answers for a lot of what other patrols can bring, hardly showcases any of the strengths of Sisters as an army and you either get lucky with the arco-flagellants or you lose the game.
One thing I hate about the seraphim jump packs is how they have the chunk on the back cut out that is literally just to put a skull and maybe a purity seal on it. Ruins the look of the packs if you don't have it on there and was probably done specifically to limit how much mileage you can get out of one box.

so i was on hiatus for a while and recently got back into 40k and wanted to rebuild my sisters army( i did have an all metal army but it is long gone unfortunately) after not playing much since the witchhunters codex days. So far i have a palatine, canoness veridyan model, ephrael stern, celestine and because i wanted to get a feel for sisters in the current version i did pick up the novitiate kill team, i'm just wondering if i can build from these and what i should pick up next as currently i believethe sisters starter set isn't worth the cost for what you get, also i kind of gel with the argent shroud playstyle and lore. So any suggestions on what i do next would be appreciated ty. ( also sorry for the essay :) )
Argent Shroud love Seraphim for the speed and sisters in rhinos. Retributers in tanks is popular with them - but for them I would buy 2x Sisters of battle boxes and make 10 dominions and 2x5 retributers from heavy flamer and heavy bolter parts. The heavy flamers can be converted into multi-meltas with a barrel swap. Those are some starter ideas for Argent Shroud

With the new Agents of the Imperium codex, are we able to take Battle Sister units as allies to another Imperial army?
Yes, but just a battle sister squad and immolator. And you use the alternate version of the unit datacard from the Imperial Agents codex

Sadly Von Carmian the Seraphim/Zeph box doesn't actually come with 10 jump packs :( they're two part and you only get five back pieces :(
you get basically the 10 full backpacks - you are only missing a logo part which can be easily covered by other little elements
