Personality? sure pre-ts he had a lot of personality cuz he laughed and cried and stuff but now he's bored most of the time and has no emotion. Good backstory? he made a pinky promise with a girl that he'll become the best swordsman........great backstory (we don't know what his real backstory is but for now his backstory is trash). Good writing? where is the good writing in a guy who is bored and does nothing most of the time and is only purposes is to be loyal to luffy and have good fights...no seriously how does he compare to sanji who is both badass, relatable and has actual personality whereas zoro whos ONLY BADASS. Do you want me go write a essay like you did to explain how you are wrong. Cause yes we do get a back story for zoro so people get emotionally attached. Sure it's not as sad as sanjis or as bad as names or law.but it's enough to get people attached. Also zoro has always been the same ,fights a bit,talks a bit, and rest of the ark is lost or sleeping. That's what it can boil down to. But that doesn't mean what he dose isn't important or useless.

PEOPLE HAVE O P I N I O N S. sanji dose badass stuff like zoro but in some people's opinions there not as badass. Sanji is important to the plot like a bunch of characters like zoro.chopper.the characters of islands that have been 100 200 300 400 episodes back. But in some people's opinion zoro is more important then sanji. I personally don't. I think in some ways sanji is "better" and in some ways zoro is "better" but in the end there almost equal. And just shut the fuck up if your that mad that many people like my self. respect zoro think he's super cool and badass and important to the plot and whatever. Just like you and many other people do to sanji
