I'm a huge chess fan especially sets with a different design so I'm absolutely adoring these figures! I think I'm also torn between the Knight and the Kitsune King 😅
I *think* the "dragon" knight is supposed to be a Qilin ("ky-LINN") or Chinese unicorn: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qilin And the King is a "kitsune" ("kit-SOON-ay"), or mystical, nine trailer shape shifting fox. In fact, it seems as though all of these are based upon some sort of mythological creature perhaps?
