First and a great drive! Have you heard Japan Airlines flight colliding with the Japan Coast Guard plane which led to the explosion and fire upon landing in Tokyo where 5 out 6 crew members on the Coast Guard plane died and passengers and crew members all survived?
Hi, definetely! However there can be accidents here too, we had to get out in Valenciennes and continue on city streets and local roads because of a traffic jam caused by an accident. But the route touches just a bit the Lille Metropolitan area, and doesn't go through it like the A1, so it is much more relaxing.

Always found this the less stressful quieter route from Brussels to Paris instead of the much busier Ghent - Kortrijk - Lille A1 ....
