This is all cool... but here is a challenge for you... IF you have a transparent Background on an image on Canva, You save it as PDF Print... and then try to convert it via any website... to get 300 DPI... Your transparent background turns WHITE... :( ... I am frustrated with this issue for days now and can't seem to find an answer... I do T-Shirt printing... and I cant seem to get a 300 DPI with transparent background... Please see if you can help.
I’m doing the exact same thing right now. But, on mine, maybe on yours too, the background is not white when you go to print. There is just a white background behind you transparent image. Lordy, I’ll tell you this, I NEVER imaged making a simple ( on my own image) file could be so hard to make. Please let me know if I’m right and if not, how did you resolve it.
Thank you so so sooooooooo much! This saved me as i was printing out a collage, it turned out super dark and dpi was below 75 😭 bro now its amazing quality u literally saved my life.
Could you please help to understand how can we check if the image became 300 dpi? After saving the image I can see dimensions 1200x1800. Is it right? Will be glad to have an answer. Thanks!
Hi @NiazMohammad: Sometimes we need to include a high quality image within an HTML page which goes for printing as an ePub file. This way when screenshots, or images with text gets zoomed in, it is more clearer. One example is Amazon KDP where we can upload HQ images by using the method given in this video. Thanks for asking 🙏👍
HI thank you so much for this. I have one question, I converted my image to 300dpi but now if I remove the background will it affect the quality or dpi of it? I want to remove the bg to get it print on Tshirt
When I go to download the file I do not get t he screen you show in your video. It just downloads the file to my PC and I do not get the choice to indicate File Type so I cannot select PDF Print. Are you sure the free version is working?
I tried this but the quality of the images, when printed, was still very low, even if all the data where high, because it i creases data but not the actual dots in the dpi pics
When i import a 300dpi image into my laptop, the dpi changes to 96dpi automatically. Obviously my laptop doesn't support a higher dpi than 96. What then?
KDP wants book cover to be uploaded in PDF. Which cover file I will upload? Should I upload COVER image downloaded from CANVA as standard PDF print? How do I ensure that PDF is of 300 DPI?
@felicitykenter7748 Hi, try compressing the PDF using online tools like this www.ilovepdf.com/compress_pdf before using pdf2jpg.net. Remember not to compress too much - try using 'Less compression' instead of 'Extreme compression' to get close enough to 25MB or lesser.
Hey buddy! I create printables using canva and as i choose a size by 5×7 ratio then the image quality decreases, any solution? Waiting for your response Thank you!
Hello there, if I understand the question correctly - for printables, I'd recommend downloading PDFs (PDF print) from Canva instead of images (so the quality remains better). Hope that answers your question? cheers!
I used your method in the video but the image is only 300dpi when its small (I'm putting on a t shirt on a t shirt design website) so I need the image to be bigger on the t shirt but still 300dpi. How can I do this??
Hi Jimmy, I think we can download a PNG with transparent background (Canva Pro feature) and then print to PDF but not directly download PDF with transparent background. Here's a step-by-step tutorial on Canva: www.canva.com/help/transparent-background/. Not sure if you'd want this but I also found this alternate solution (again a paid option but looks like there is a trial option): pdf.wondershare.com/how-to/create-pdf-with-transparent-background.html. Have a good day ahead! - Arun from Tech Library TV.
Hi, Lauren, if you are referring to the pdf2jpg.net/ website - I'm sorry and I don't see any warnings and not sure why that's popping up for you. I opened it in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers (with and without ad blocker extensions). Here's my screenshot which shows the padlock security symbol for the site please: www.screencast.com/t/HkLgFblCj. Could you please check if it's taking you to http instead of https by any chance? If so, manually making it to https may help. Please let me know. Best, Arun
Now you can't just download the jpg, you have to go through pdf manager, so yet another app to install : not happy. (not your fault of course but frankly it's annoying)
@OwyheeMountains, I'm sorry, and will work on my pace for my next videos. For now, may I recommend, using the UA-cam's playback speed option to listen at 0.75x speed so it may help you for the time-being? Thanks for this feedback. 🙏🙏

odd bc when i checked it shows 150 dpi in settings after I do it?
What is the solution when the zise of pdf is high cz the site could'nt convert the file he said there iscan file error size
In that case try reducing pdf file size first. Sites like pdf.io may help with that.
Any idea how can I export lightroom photos with 300dpi from an ipad?
Sorry, I am not sure of that
But the question is why would we need to convert it to jpg when we already have high-quality PDF for Print?
Hi @NiazMohammad: Sometimes we need to include a high quality image within an HTML page which goes for printing as an ePub file. This way when screenshots, or images with text gets zoomed in, it is more clearer. One example is Amazon KDP where we can upload HQ images by using the method given in this video. HI thank you so much for this. I have one question, I converted my image to 300dpi but now if I remove the background will it affect the quality or dpi of it? I want to remove the bg to get it print on Tshirt
HI Saurabh, it may as every image quality is different based on its composition. Please check the dpi once to verify after removing the background.
When I go to download the file I do not get t he screen you show in your video. It just downloads the file to my PC and I do not get the choice to indicate File Type so I cannot select PDF Print. Are you sure the free version is working?
should you edit a picture like with filters etc, before converting it to 300dpi? or convert it to 300dpi and then edit the picture?
I'd recommend keeping the conversion to 300 DPI as the last step. Get all the edits done first. 👍Thanks for being here, and all the best! 🙏

why cant we just leave it at pdf print , why do we need to convert to jpg

Does anyone know what the image size has to originally be?

When i import a 300dpi image into my laptop, the dpi changes to 96dpi automatically. Obviously my laptop doesn't support a higher dpi than 96. What then?
