I have a vintage series 2 bag which comes with 2 long straps but its a pair of identical straps. At first i was like err this is weird but i eventually grew to like it hahah. But i agree my initial reaction was this is weird 😂
Hahaha it's like that! Someone said cos it's a bicolor bag and that's just laughable logic, but really chanel has done so many bicolor bags and didn't put two straps 🙄 I'm sure I'll appreciate it after some use lol
Recently discovered the 31. Came out in large and I think medium back in 2018. Anyways I want a large black suede one. So I can have a tote and use it as a clutch. Hoping some pop up. Or Chanel brings them back for Fall as originally it was release for that season.

Yea they are kind of awkward but won't be walking long periods in them they are more of a comfy winter look for those minimal walking occasions lol. I also want to preserve the sole as much as possible too for these cos of that foam in between

I don't get how someone doesn't understand why chanel put bicolor straps on the bag. The bag actually has 2 shades on it and it's continuation of its style. The obvious is practically screaming
There are many bicolour chanel bags without two straps 😂. So by your theory all of them should have two straps right? One being a flimsy thin leather .

The original 31 has two straps as the bag is so big and can get very heavy so two straps help reduce the load on your shoulder. For the mini the two straps were kept as part of the original design.
So it’s not obvious unless you know the history of the original
