Excellent. I may get a bucket of the ORECK dry cleaner and that spray bottle. My mom has the big dog ORECK orbital but i only needed to spot clean a few areas at my place.

Will this work on all types of rugs as well? I now have a sculpted rug in my living room area. I have always believed in steam cleaner / extraction and even bothered to train how to use those machines (from rentals to truck mounts). Now with what you just said, I am questioning that method a little. Of course, I no longer need to worry about that unfortunately, since in California they stopped putting carpet in apartments, even on second and third floor units, which makes no sense what so ever in that regard! So now I just have a 8x10 rug in my living room and a runner in the bedroom soon to be replaced with a 5x7.
Kim, by the way, the new rug I just installed in my living room this last Saturday is gorgeous! It looks very high-end! It vacuums well with the Simplicity upright I got from you too! It is a thick sculptured rug and goes shockingly well with my place regarding the hard floor and furniture and everything. I was not expecting it to look the way it does, but it is absolutely great, it renewed the entire area. I also like the positive vibes of it! (My other rug was depressing). I don't think I could have chosen better. It has blue, tan and burgundy. It even unexpectedly improved my sound system over the former rug and helped me hit the holy grail of system setup, but I digress into my wheelhouse there, sorry. The only caveat about the rug is that it is a static machine, however, I have a plan: Take a plain swifter type apparatus and put a dryer sheet on it and then pass it over the rug (or carpet) like you are sweeping, it is supposed to kill static for a while (at least a couple of weeks or more).
While I hope to never need it, if I do I will likely buy that dry cleaner when needed. I was a bit concerned about vacuuming it all up seeing the demo here noticing how the vacuum was struggling to pick it all up, it obviously did eventually, but then I though about the Simplicity and it's crazy brush roller (that is higher RPM than any other vacuum I know of), should have no problem.

You're right, it does take the vacuum a couple or more swipes to suck it all in, but in the end it always comes out. Your vacuum could be better adjusted than the ones I was using to dig deeper into the carpet to remove the powder. But if a tiny bit is left over, its ok too...it will be vacuumed out the next time you vacuum. Your simplicity should have no problem.

@@kimberly.thomason Indeed Kim, especially with the speed that brush roller turns at! (One can actually clear hear the brush roller turning separate from the vacuum motor!) ha ha!
