I love this movie. It took the idea of what could happen if you could use 100% of the brain, based on the old idea that we only use like 10% of it, and created this fascinating storyline. It's a movie, it's not suppose to be real, it's suppose to tell a interesting story. Just like every fantasy story tries to do. The author creates their world from a set of rules, and builds their story within the confines of those rules. Scarlett, and Morgan do a great job bring these character to life. I think Scarlett got the role in Ghost in the Shell based off her work here.

Three days later I opened my eyes, i had that IV in my arm. a young man was in a chair reading comic books. he said my mother had just left and I was on 24-hour observation he was glad I was out of the coma because no one thought I would make it. i don't even recall being sick after that , I had shigella , mabey they gave me antibiotics so anyway i had no sense of time passage. i assume they did some CPR and got me back on that table but i had no thoughts that was 60 years ago. And i think i did some good in this life , i know i saved many many lives because of the work i did in hospitals , helping infected dying people like i was saved i guess. Its funny how that turned out really. Like my pathway in life was just pushed down that path . who knows how it all works , i sure don't .

Part of me wants to make this movie the Origin Story for Earth before something like the Mass Effect Universe happens. The knowledge Lucy handed down, causing the end of the energy/oil/etc race, technological advances bringing Earth to a higher standard and then both good and bad Alien civilizations come to say hi or have a disgust towards Earth and try to limit it's advancement. Something neat like that. Was an interesting and enjoyable movie.

Time machines are impossible in every state of the word if it were possible then people would have come back now or any time, if the existence of a time machine was plausible then the world would be gone or to be more specific it would have never been
I think instead of this being a action movie based on the myth that we only use 10% of our brain, this should have been a cosmic horror movie where the protagonist is slowly gaining understanding of how our universe was created and how it will be destroyed, and that her body keep adapting more and more until she disappears from reality, slowly losing herself identity until she becomes a part of the fabric of the universe. And even better, from it as a action movie at first with gaining these "powers" but then reveal that it is actually just her shedding her physical form for more knowledge.
The whole 10 percent of your brain capacity is stupid but what most people don't get is they showed what it would be like to transcend into super intelligence and evolve into something which is incomprehensible to us, She didn't turn into a USB drive she left knowledge for normal humans to evolve then turned into a higher being.

I think instead of this being a action movie based on the myth that we only use 10% of our brain, this should have been a cosmic horror movie where the protagonist is slowly gaining understanding of how our universe was created and how it will be destroyed, and that her body keep adapting more and more until she disappears from reality, slowly losing herself identity until she becomes a part of the fabric of the universe. And even better, from it as a action movie at first with gaining these "powers" but then reveal that it is actually just her shedding her physical form for more knowledge.
