Did u think it was weird that they wore zero gear? Like the Spartan suit is gone, but they could have put on a marine helmet, right? Even if you're a badass soldier a headshot with zero protection is fatal ...but they didn't wanna grab helmets or any type of armor from the Marines?
Love it or hate it.. this show has some of if not the best fight scenes in recent movies or shows. Just beautiful

I'm not a gamer but I'm so into Halo the series. Season 1 I totally enjoyed but not knowing much about the games it made it easier to enjoy. Season 2 started off assume with episode 4 had me on the edge of my seat. I've just started reading the books and hope it gives me more insight to Halo.❤

Killing keyes makes for one enormous plot hole in the coming seasons..... he is a vital part of the story. For context it would be like if you killed Aragorn in the second Lord of the rings movie or if you killed Jon Snow in season 2 or 3 of GoT. You've just cut an entire story arc that practically makes the whole story.....

The best thing I like about this show is the main thing purist are complaining about....not being a 1:1 with the game/books. I like the fact that I can actually have anticipation, nervousness, curiosity about what's going to happen next. If this was 1:1 I'd already know what's coming and only be able to enjoy it being "live action". I'm glad hear I'm actually on the edge of what the hell are they going to do. I'm currently trying to figure out how the hell they're going to get off Reach, what the hell are they going to do with Cortona, etc.

This is a live action TV show with Budget constraints .. and ... following the "Silver" tilmeline not the game/books. And only a fool would follow the same story word for word .. with the manbabies then bitching about the shitty set design, SFX of a live action TV serioes of ..... major Computer game franchies.

Makee called off Arbiter because she still needs john for some purpose and to allow the elite to have a better more honorable duel with chief later on
No she's using the Arby as a personal bodyguard. Since the covies are denied the Mantle the prophets don't know if they can even use forerunner tech after/if makee delivered Cortana. Either way they both would of been killed so she played it smart for now n maybe that Arby will ally with the humans or die on the halo like the field master from halo. (First novel)
if you played the games just 1 you would know that its going to be a season 10 since we havent even seen THE FLOOD or the ENDLESS yet + we havent even seen ATRIOX yet + the performance of the actors is PHENOMONAL
I like the show overall and will continue to watch it, but I do have issues with 2 massive oversights. 1) Chief's helmet would have been recording everything, so there would have been video evidence to back up his story. 2) Why did they leave Cortana behind?

Season 1 was incredible! I thought it was awesome. There were some weird plot jumps that made me put some stuff together, but the story was excellent. I miss the old, cuter Cortana and I liked how she was bubbly. We didn’t really get to see much from the new one just yet, but her appearance is a bit of an upgrade on the professionalism.

Just like in the books he (Ackerson) wanted the Spartan IIs dead by the covies. Takes the armor so he can try replicate its design but since it was expensive n alot more advanced then the spi armor that it would require alot time to engineer a whole battalion of mark 4s. Instead they rush to make alpha company aka different name
I was skeptical of them not having their armor for this episode, but after watching, it was awesome to see how Spartans are superior soldiers first and foremost. However, they made a mistake bringing back Makee and Kwan Ha. They serve no purpose. They already have 4 much more interesting strong female characters without the two of them getting in the way of this show feeling like Halo. Maybe by season 3 we will be rid of them?

I’ve played every single Halo title extensively from the beginning, Halo CE, 2, 3, 4, 5, Infinite, Wars 1 & 2, ODST. I’ve also read most of the books, including The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund (excellent read if you haven’t - I highly recommend it). I’ve always thought if done right, the Halo story would be an epic on the level, I dare say BETTER, of Star Wars. This show is NOT that story; it kinda reminds me of JJ Abrams ‘alternate’ Kelvin timeline treatment of Star Trek. They have taken the names, and a few bits of canon that suit them and made their own story. At the end of season 1, I thought they were finally on track, but then they went a different direction - they had the chance to come back to established lore but didn’t. Some of the things are just silly - why is it Silver Team? Master Chief was leader of BLUE Team. And why was it Cobalt team that went to Visegrad? Was supposed to be Noble Team.
That being said, this ‘alternate’ timeline is in and of itself, decent. Once I understood this is a different story, I’m actually starting to enjoy it more, and episode 4 is pretty well done. This most certainly is NOT for the gamers and story enthusiasts that have grown up with the established story. This is its own arc seemingly made to appeal to a broader audience, and in that regard, it seems to be ok. I’ll keep watching to see where THIS story goes.
I could rant for days on how they have the Master Chief wrong. He’s supposed to be more of a John Wick/Mandalorian type augmented super soldier than a Jack Sparrow/Tony Stark blabbermouth - a man a few words, keeps his armor on ALL the time; a total badass. (If Pedro Pascal can emote without ever taking his helmet off, why can’t Pablo Schreiber?) And he should be integrated with Cortana as his ‘sidekick’ in his armor. That dynamic alone is a massive part of the real story, and they are completely losing out on the opportunity to build that relationship as a central part of the storyline. So sad. As anyone who enjoyed the campaigns knows, Cortana is so important to John-117. Complete whiff in this TV show IMO.

See most people don't understand that the show sits on the basis of the halo game and lore, without which, they would have never been a show to begin with. The show runners have miserably failed to portray the essence of Halo. Had this show been done with proper show runners, it would have been on star wars good, maybe even better. I wish this show gets rebooted with proper accuracy.
I'm through with Halo until the very last episode. Then I will watch all of them at once. If Master Chief's armor stays gone so will I.

I don’t really care for the whole “timeline” thing but the fights with Spartans in their respective suits make up for all the shots they’re missing. E3 when chief goes up against those Elites made me forget all of S1. Why not have more with them in the suits? That’s what makes Halo iconic. Just my opinion. Time will tell.

Its better to start on s2 e1, this storyline is built up from the start. You should watch the recaps of season 1 for the episodes you skipped, just to get an understanding of the dynamic between Makee and Master Chief

I am absolutely convinced that the majority of people on this channel have absolutely no idea about the true halo story. This show has failed to capture the timeline, the character and charisma of the true halo story. The show runners have really shamed and nerfed the original characters from the original story. I wish it gets cancelled and get rebooted with proper accuracy.

The episode was to showcase that Spartans are still Spartans without their armor but had the dude charge the elite with a needler instead of staying in cover. The show is so stupid it hurts

I still think having the Spartans not in their armour during the fall of reach and killing Keyes off before Halo 1 is kinda dumb. Season 2 so far isn't as bad as season 1. But it's still lacking in alot of elements that would make it even better

What we now know is that without his armor, MC is only a slightly better than average soldier. Since his armor is somewhere else, I guess Pablo won’t have to worry about his face not being seen. What’s being missed is that the helmet IS MC’s face! I guess we can assume that MC will be sans armor for the entire season. Why take the armor which can only be worn by augmented Spartans??? This makes no sense. Why was Cortana left behind? What about the Cole protocol?? Earth??? I’ll have preferred that had followed the game (Reach) than this. This series is so much off base with known storyline that it’s more like a parallel universe pretending to be Halo.
What’s with all the profanity? Since Halo came out, the game has really held the line so that kids could play it.

Killing him is an enormous plot hole IF the story was following the arc you're talking about. It's painfully obvious this show is not following that thread whatsoever so you can't then apply an arc from a completely different story to another. While it shares the same title it's clearly not sharing the same 1:1 storyline.
They really need to stop calling this Halo when it is not.

Episode 5 did not help your title. Stripped him of his suit and ran off with them. Take his helmet off I can see. Take Cortana away from him is not a good direction. Now his suit is gone who know where. To top it off he's not even in the fight and we are presented with an episode that works on his emotional disposition and nothing to do with him being a strategic, calculating, and focused individual who seemed to have the luck of the Irish in fighting. Not to mention the amount of time episode 5 spent on other characters and their place in the hierarchy of the season. He might as well be a supporting actor in his part right now or just part of the collective in the scheme of things.

Halo just got totes disappointing. At EXACTLY this episode; where the general guy made a gung-ho military speech and the troops were semper-fi-ing so hard 🙄 Then. Fucking THEN this FUCKING BLIND GUY... Same episode, was tagging along in their crew, shooting at AND HITTING enemy aliens. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ All under this sort of pretense of "once a marine always a marine". Then that general suicide bombs his own life to secure transport ships leaving with civilians (elderly and kids). Of course cheesy AF dramatic music playing while another cliche played out right after another Spartan marine went back for Chief when he was down. And she got shot for it. Cause ya know "marines don't leave marines behind" 🙄🤦🏻♀️ but he was like 3 feet from her and they were like 3 feet from their ship so like 🤷 WtF 🤦🏻♀️ all in that ONE EPISODE 🤦🏻♀️

Where the transport ships go back to the alien occupied planet. Because you know to fight or whatever. With their ships of elderly and kids 🤷🙄🤦🏻♀️ so they can like what? Die for honor 🤦🏻♀️
Then Chief wakes up from coma 3 days later. And the doctor tells him it's been three days and he stumbles out of bed saying _________. Bet you 5$ you'd guess the line it's that fucking cliche. Such a fucking bummer. The writing took such a bad fucking turn OMG.
I've always been on that military fence with Halo. Like it's super military, but it's forgivable and I can overlook it because:
-no national flags
-they're fighting aliens and their presence is needed (arguably)
-no semper fi shit
But that show just went down the shitter hard and fast. This episode was like watching an ARMY recruitment video 🤦🏻♀️

The Fall of Reach isn't Chief's story. He was barely on planet during it. I bet we won't even hear about NOBLE Team at all. Not even an easter egg or anything. Bro noble team was part of beta alpha died during operation torpedo then curt Ambrose takes over the section 3 program when paragonsky n admiral proposed to him then they these 12 13 year olds were taken from orphaned homes n the process they went through is pretty rank because they are added with a new cocktail which is surpassing a normal trauma n keep on fighting to the point where they're in shock but yeah it's a lil confusing but it's clear in a way the books also play some parts so

They took their suits and they take the limelight from chief 3/4's of the time. It's a garbage show. Not to mention how many 'girl boss' moments there are in episode 5. Bungie needs to buy the rights back when paramount drowns. This episode is trash. Chief shouldn't be without his helmet much less his suit. Soren has his forced off him. Chief should have had it on at all times like Soren. This is the dumpster fire that none of the halo 1-3 players wanted.
