This man is the perfect answer to "God has many that the church does not, and the church has many that God does not."
Both the Church AND God, have this man, and it's contagious.
Thank the Lord, for this man's understanding of, and passion for the word.
    Praise the Lord!

Even though I’m 867 miles away, I appreciate worshipping and growing in my faith as 1-body of believers. My local church in Grimes, Iowa is fantastic and we are very much a family of believers growing together in Jesus. But I appreciate the God glorifying work being done at Grace City in Rome, Georgia. My heart is tickled hearing that your church is bursting at the seems with fellow brothers and sisters. To God be all the glory forever and ever, Amen.

My goodness, WHY can't we have more pastors just speak truth of the scripture? I have been wrestling about starting a home church as study, but how do you do that when you're walking through this world alone?

In America Citizens are guaranteed the right to be judged by one’s peers. The goberment got around this right by changing the meaning of one’s Peer !!!! The Founders meaning is….., Peer “one that knows the accused personally, that can make judgement based upon personal knowledge of the accused as to character, background, and propensity” as to make judgement based upon evidence and the likelihood that the accused could or couldn’t have committed the crime.

Please don't get caught up in the emotions of a situation and forget that doing nothing is sometimes the correct answer. If there isn't anything that can be done, actions will make things worse.
    Example:
You are sitting with a friend who just lost their son to self-harm. Just meaning less then a day or so. There is nothing you can say or do that will bring their child back and thats all they can think or care about in that moment. Doing and saying nothing is the only option you have.
I would be livid and feel completely alone if my friends tried to talk me out of feeling my feelings in a moment of huge upheaval. It's selfishness to try to make someone feel better in that moment because you can't handle the emotions in that situation. Acting uncomfortable around those in the heat of a moment tells them the emotions they have no control over feeling are socially wrong. We have to use discernment and empathy at all moments.

I have a way of explaining the Trinity I wanted to bounce off of you Bro John.
Preface: If I knew every thought J Lovell had ever thought, I would know JL.
If I knew every word JL had ever spoken, I would know JL
(I realize this might be a little scary, but hang with me)
And if I knew every action JL had ever taken, I would know JL.
So… If God the father is like the Divine mind, the Son the Divine Word and the Spirit His Divine Action …and He being so completely Holy that those three are always in sync with one another…… Then separately they could each be said to be Fully God as Christ was fully God and fully man?
…. or is that too modalist?

It's not false to say that the Father Son and Spirit are completely in sync, where you would run into issues is making the claim that that's the only sense in which they can all be said to be God. That's actually the opposite of modalism. God is one being and three persons. Modalism says God is one person with three different modes. Your explanation says that God is three different beings that are only united in their thoughts and intentions.
I can get more into it if you want.

    • @241william
      @241william 2 місяці тому +1

@ I didn’t think that I was describing the Godhead as three different beings. If that is the impression you got from this explanation, then I certainly need to refine or perhaps scrap it all together.
I understand that that the Trinity is God in three persons. But that is SO difficult to wrap one’s head around that I wished to state it in a way that a non-trinitarian proponent may be able to comprehend. ie Muslim or Jew.
