    A phone ahead of it's time, the world wasn't ready for it back then.

    Good video again,
    I have the first series Nokia communicator I forget the model number now but it was a big old thing and cost me over £400
    great British pounds,
    Then the novelty wore off and I down sizes to a Nokia 8210,
    that was a sweet looking phone.

      if you have the first series phone from 1996 then you have the nokia 9000. it's significantly bigger than the 9300....and the 9000 is only single band. So either GSM900 or GSM1800. The 9000iL is GSM1900. I have a boxed 8210 too....and an 8310....used both of those baby nokias back in the early 2000's myself. love them.

    12:00 the model is Nokia 6230i (improved version of a 6230) and you can also put the 32MB memory card at 07:00 in it
    I also really hate when batteries puff up...had lost some of my rare batteries that way
    But as always nice review and I hope the winner will be happy with the 9300
    Can't wait to find out what is and what does the grey Nokia box thing at 24:00!

    • @BrickCellphones
      @BrickCellphones  7 років тому

      Yes the nokia 6230i does accept MMC cards (NOT the thicker SD cards which look the same). I used to use a 1Gigabyte MMC in my 6230i many years ago.
      The nokia thing at 24:00 is something very rare from nokia that was as far as I'm aware never made available to the public.

    You should have more subscribed to your channel for the job you do.

    • @BrickCellphones

      Alot of people say that.....I don't know why the channel doesn't grow quicker. I guess I should have more subs after 3.5 years of videos but I don't do social media, I don't advertise this channel and I am happy to just do my thing under the radar. UA-cam also doesn't really push channels that grow slowly and where each video only has a few hundred videos. But I'm greatful for everyone that does subscribe.

    Ericsson T28 Nov 2000 marketed in Canada. I sold cellular phone for afew month at the time first dual band world phone 900mhz / 1900mhz

    • @BrickCellphones
      @BrickCellphones  7 років тому

      Yeah the T28 was also marketed in europe round about that time....they had a very agressive marketing campaign here as it was so small.

    Nice battery on that Ericsson T28. I have some batterys that still works after they swollen but it is a tight fit so a rather not use them.

    • @BrickCellphones
      @BrickCellphones  7 років тому

      Oh I would never charge a battery that has popped, expanded or leaked....that is just downright dangerous. batteries contain toxic chemicals that react very differently when exposed to air or water. certainly some lithiums can explode if you're not careful.

    • @BrickCellphones
      @BrickCellphones  7 років тому

      Yeah I have egg on my face......LOL. The colour balance is definitely out. I'm sorry I should have noticed as I was filming but I did a good take and didn't want to redo it. Normal colour bars will resume in the next video!!!

    The mobile phone guru,
    sorry I don't know your name,
    I just thought a video on say a satellite phone would be very interesting, even one of those 80s ones in a briefcase, maybe something for a future video perhaps. Anyway keep doing what you do best.

    • @BrickCellphones
      @BrickCellphones  7 років тому

      Hi General Pepe, FoneFox or Mark !!!
      I purposely have not done a video on satellite phones or briefcase phones (that could be interpreted as satellite phones) for the simple reason that satellite phones are banned or illegal in many countries and I don't really want to get into hot water for promoting them.
      It's a nice idea and I've had a fair few requests for them but for now I'll hold fire.
