    3:25 clouds goes right, then turns back left. Love to see how most of the thunderstorms goes the opposite wind direction sometimes.

      Actually, that was the main downdraft area of the thunderstorm, and its clouds are lower. The wind directions & speeds are different at different altitudes and times, it's not all pushed at once, otherwise, it wouldn't be a thunderstorm. Just for your information.

    Hmmm, in early testing I had a similar problem when I combined interlaced and progressive footage. The solution was to make a progressive sequence and then drop everything into that, and then render out as a progressive video. Hope that helps. No problem using this clip for a promo project; glad the kids liked it.

    BREATHTAKING video!!! It's fascinating to watch how the storm clouds come from all directions as though at war with one another. SKY RAGE!! When you see this video, you see why severe storms have the potential of being dangerous and destructive!

    Hi! Sony NXCAM, 60i. The NXCAM doesn't have (to my knowledge) the ability to shoot in slow motion or frame by frame, so I just shot the entire sequence in real time and then time-compressed it in Adobe Premiere! Thanks for asking!

    I tried the same thing in my little Canon @60i using time compression on Premier. Noticed some vertical jitter on horizontal lines. Busted the shot. I downloaded your vid and added some lightning and titling for a church promo. Took about 10secs of it, colorized and worked the gamma. The kids liked it. I hope you don't mind

    Well done. What cam and frame rate? Intervelometer?

  • @TheMysnickers
    @TheMysnickers  11 років тому

    Yep, basically Premiere will de-interlace anything you drop into a progressive sequence, as long as you export it as progressive. That should eliminate any jitter.

    How is that the clouds can change direction that drastically? Doesn’t thunderstorm movement follow one general straight line from SW -> NE?
    Was the camera facing SW? That was my assumption.

      I saw that happen too, but I assumed the lights defaulted to blinking red at night after a certain hour since there would be less traffic. A lightning strike makes more sense.
