As a beginner in 3D, I’d like to know how the difference in rendering performance affects the entire workflow, not just the final render. In complex projects, do you think there would be limitations in the viewport? And for larger projects, is it necessary to frequently check small renders to make progress? I have a MacBook and appreciate its strengths, as you mentioned. If it were just about the final render, I could use cloud rendering, but that wouldn't work if renders are needed throughout the workflow, with constant previews. I'm also curious if Eevee, being real-time, can handle complex projects.
Hey! As for render performance, is not only needed when you do the final render, you might also want to check how your camera looks, lighting, animation.. etc so you also need to have nice performance. Having limitations with big projects is always something to have in mind, but there are solutions for that like optimization, simplify the amount of vertex or particles showing in the viewport, setting up links with multiple files, different layers.. etc. Checking your progress with small renders is always nice but I usually go for phases, If I'm in the modelling phase or animating, I don't want to see how the lighting or the grass in the background would look, because I'm focusing on something more important in that moment. A modern macbook is very capable, specially with a lot of gpu cores and ram for big projects, even if you use a render farm I think is good practice to have your scene well optimized and planned correctly so you can make sure everything wil be alright, and most important for me is how the viewport feels, if everytime I rotate around something and it takes a few seconds or lags, it means something is wrong lol *sorry for the long reply lol*

Hey There. Thank you for sharing your experience. I noticed that you used very small tile sizes while rendering. I'm confident that you enabled the GPU for Rendering (?!) but why did you choose such small tiles ?
@@mariuswickli3206 Hey! About the tile size the common rule is that cpu works faster with smaller ones and gpu with bigger ones(gpu rendering is on), with my testing with rtx gpus I’ve noticed that 512x512 is the fastest (except sometimes 256x256 is a little bit better but not too noticeable), if I’m not mistaken in this video it was set to 512x512 but because I was rendering in such a big resolution (3840x2160) the tiles might look even smaller. Thinking about Mac or gaming laptop with 4080m. I understand 4080m will be a better overall in all rendering parameters, but in terms of durability and longevity of a laptop as a whole, not quite sure, the screens on Macs are just better in my view.
In my case, for the main computer for all the 3D and rendering I'd go for a PC and then a macbook as a laptop, overall I prefer a macbook because of screen, materials, battery and power.
