Hi Reese, Welcome back. Thanks for showing us some of your earlier pen and ink art. You are so talented. Loved the two sepia coloured pieces in your tiny yellow sketch book. Amazing! Always a pleasure to see your art and listen to your commentary. 🌱💚🌱Judy
Thank you Judy. I always appreciate your kind comments and support. I'm glad you enjoyed a glimpse back at my older work. I also was pleased with the little sketches in the yellow sketchbook. More to come. I hope you are well.😊🖋📚🌼
I haven’t worked with pen & ink in many years but have bought some supplies over the last year and want to take a crack at it again. Your work is so beautiful and very inspiring. Thanks for another informative and interesting video. Your discussion on pointillism, inks etc. was very interesting and helpful. ✒️
I'm so glad you found it an inspiring and helpful video to get back into your supplies! I hope you have fun playing with it again. Have a beautiful week ahead 😊🖋📚⚘️
Your drawings are beautiful! After your last video, I was reminded of how much I liked Walnut Ink. I got rid of all my art supplies in 2018. but have in the last year returned to making art. I ordered Walnut ink last week and it should be here soon. I already had the sepia micron pen set, so looking forward to some pen and ink work. In art school, we used those bamboo dip pens to draw with walnut oil, so want to try that too. It's a lot less precise than the Microns but quite fun for loose and expressionistic drawing.
Hi Christina, thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you are getting back into making art again. It's so good for the soul I believe. I'm really curious why you got rid of all your supplies in 2018, if you want to share? Those sepia pens and the walnut ink are lots of fun. I think the glass pen might have a similar application to the bamboo dip pen maybe? I'm not sure. Have tons of fun with your ink. 🖋📚🖌🐦
Thank you very much. Right now I mostly lean into my micron pens for waterproof ink or India ink like the W&N that I showed. I'm going to be trying other kinds now that I have a couple of fountain pens. It will take time to develop a preference I think but I'm thinking of trying Carbon ink and Noodlers. We shall see moving forward. 😊🖋📚🐦

🌿 I love pen and ink with watercolor.
Yes, it's a lot of fun, especially in a sketchbook I think. 😊🖋📚⚘️
