Scholars Dr. Julius Garvey and Robin Walker discuss how religions, spiritual traditions and philosophies are intentionally manipulated and used in political ways, to dominate and control external groups. How classifications of heathen, pagan and kafra, for example were historically exploited to justify the subjection, elimination and forced conversion of foreign groups.
Robin and Dr Julius also share interesting insights, through exploring forms of Christianity ( what would become the modern traditions ) and how they exploited this type of utilisation of religious doctrines. They even share some thought provoking ideas as to why despite the teachers of Christ been so radically different from those of the ‘Old Testament’ it still remained a vital part of Christianity through the Roman period and beyond, for its utility value as a manipulation and justification pretext tool.
As a bonus Robin, drops some surprising information about Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s research and thinking as a student on the subject of Mythical traditions, and Christianity’s similarities to earlier Mythic traditions.
