Hi im wondering on if there could be a beginner beginner friendly showing slowly how to do it by explaining it as it’s so cute and as I have never crocheted before as I know this is a beginner one, but it just confused me and I would love to learn how to make this as a beginner.
Hi! I might be able to make some videos sometime explaining stitches, although right now I am caught up with school. I can send you some links to beginner tutorials about the stitches used and abbreviations
A lot of times I find that Hobby Lobby doesn’t sell a lot of their products online, so I always have to go in store. The white and yellow yarn is the Baby Bee Adore a ball, and I got the black yarn from Hobby Lobby too, it’s called “Yarn Bee velvety smooth” And they are all size 5!
Hi!! So I have never crochet before but am watching because I just bought materials, I notice for the single crochet you go back through the yarn, does it matter where? 😅
If you mean for the beginning circle, then it is best to go through the end of the 4 chain row to make the circle. For the other single crochet in the project go through the loop that is directly in front of it. I hope this helps!
I used Baby Bee yarn from Hobby Lobby, It is really soft! I also used a chenille yarn by Premier from the Dollar store for the black stripes! They both work really well!
For the first part (ch four and then stitch in back loop) is it a slip stitch, or a single crochet, or what? Also, does that just mean 4 sc in magic ring/loop? I don’t really understand
The stitch through the back loop is a single crochet, and then 6 single crochet through the loop created. If this is kinda complicated, then you could just do a basic magic ring with 6 sc in it.
I’m very confused because I was making mine and I did everything you did and it was going well until the increases came and when yours ended up like a bee mine looked like a beach hat? Can someone help me?
Sorry to bother you but my black stripes are not even😢 what I mean is that the start and the finish of the black stripes are in totally different rows😢😢
So that’s actually how it’s supposed to look! I have the same thing that happens. I just use the area that they overlap as the bottom of the bee so they don’t show as much.
what helps me is that i sc in the stitch of the last rounds sc rather than the one of the row you’re working in. lol idk if it makes sense, please tell me if you are confused w what i’m saying lol

So when I added the black yarn, I made a new slip knot for it. Then I added it to my hook. When transitioning between the colors the yarn overlaps so there may be three loops on the hook at one time
