this is basically the same as the chorus from "Let's go to the hop". Even the "let's go!" from let's go to the hop sounds like the Go Go Go in this one.
Singer sounds like Lulu! Artwork looks like Graham Thompson's. I always noticed the singer's square guitar, and nowadays I think it looks like a Cigar Box guitar, and these are home made.
I seem to recall that there was a competition for some kid to come up with a suitable theme song for the show. The winner was this wonderful little ditty.
I remember watching this and thinking the title was a bit ironic.
good idea

Sounds like the everly brothers
Eh this is a tv show about not watching it , irony

John Barry . The winner was my friend and old songwriting partner, Faron Brooks. Check his more recent songs out on UA-cam, Raven, Evergreen.

I loved this set of titles, the theme tune/song still has a direct (Proustian!) attachment to a magical part of my childhood
Why dont you get off that smartphone
And go out do something less boring instead.
They were afraid of something called a Dorris which was a big foot in a stripey sock.
Didn't some kid write this theme tune, sent it in on a tape and they used it?
:-)
I prefer the 1990 theme tune
