I saw this movie yesterday on Netflix. My art school (Kansas City Art Institute) was mentioned in the movie. Walt went to my art school on the weekends and it was the only school he went to perfect his drawing. I just graduated from the animation department and this movie inspires me to keep pursuing my dreams in animation by creating my own animation series!

If you're making a serious biographical film about an important cultural icon, set in an early 20th century period then audiences expect some polish.

I recently saw this movie. It was a piece of work, and by piece of work I mean a visionary sleeping pill. It worked in helping me doze off faster than a drunk passing out at a bar he frequently visits to forget his past.
This movie isn't even out yet.

You would never love this movie if you're not interested with the disney movies. Because if you're a fan ever since, you will be curious who is the great person behind those awesome movies. And yes I am a fan of disney, so this really inspired me on how I saw Walt Disney gone through all the hardships in life before becoming successful. I love disney movies!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
well, Walt became someone really different later on when he squeezed Ubbe Iwerks out of the authorship of his own creations or when he started to turn in those he didn't like in his own studios to the Mccarthy's witch hunt...nothing to do with fairy tales. In the fairy tale sense, this movie is a "nice" romanticized version of a man that it was not at all "nice" with all involved with him (there's a good investigation book about Disney's life). But of course people in love with fairy tales...will just see the fairy tale. And I love the movies too.

yeah, definitely me too, I always was a Disney fan and I wanted to star to know more about the Disney's story.. that's why when I saw the movie for the first time, I was amazed at all the hardships that Walt (the creator of Disney and its movies) gone through to make his dream come true, I had no idea, but without doubts that's why, now I admire him much more and he's my inspiration
If you ever wanna see an amazing movie involving Walt Disney, I must refer you to Saving Mr. Banks. To this date one of my favorite movies by far.

Walt Disney is a man who had the imagination to bring the richest of emotions to life in charecters, that's why we love his films,people live in a age where dreams seem impossible to reach, this movie seems to embody that you can DREAM people, no matter how old you are you can dream, no matter how many doubts, uncertainty and hardships come your way keep your chin up and live that roller coaster we call life with as many smiles and laughs possible, thank you Walt Disney, after living for 6 years in addiction I started watching Disney films, classics like Bambi,Pinocchio and others growing up as lion king ect. And I've been saved at 21 years young, I've been taught to smile and laugh at the smallest actions,endearment, love and determination that bring a smile to my face, again thank you Walt for sharing your imagination and vision for laughter that will always humble me and stay true to my heart.

Mind Space Apocalypse That's not true. Mickey Mouse was like the first thing that made Walt Disney popular. Because of Mickey's creation, Walt started creating more cartoons, and now, even movies:) If it wasn't for Mickey Mouse, there would be no cartoons or even movies made by Walt Disney. If you like Disney movies, then you would understand how Walt Disney came from a boy who loved to draw to now has probably tens of thousands of fans of his company's movies (even though he's dead).

This movie is not a Disney film and was made on a $500,000 budget. The filmmaking style is simple, the acting isn’t outstanding (with the exception of the actor who played Walt Disney). I really enjoyed this movie and feel it to be very uplifting, not just as a story, but as a film. If you would like to learn a little history about Walt Disney’s ventures in Kansas City, then I would watch this movie. After, if not satisfied, I would recommend, Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination by Neal Gabler. It is a long, but fantastic biography. This movie was very similar to The Founder (Michael Keaton) in general style. So if you’ve seen that, you will enjoy this film just as much. The Rotten Tomatoes Score (20%) was understandable, but I feel unreasonable. Once again, just my opinion. I really like this movie and with film taste in Milos Forman and Stanley Kubrick, I would give this film 6/10 or 7/10 if I’m feeling generous.

I truly want to see this as I enjoyed Saving Mr. Banks as well which was about Walt Disney and it was a good movie.
I can relate so much to Walt Disney, almost a hundred year difference too around the time Walt became interested in animation which was 15 I think its closely right around the time I did which was 14. 2 years later I've only gotten better at the practice. My dream job is to be an animator but my big dream is to have my own animation studio that focuses at quality over quantity and innovation. Walt Disney is one of my inspirations I have when it comes to motivation. To think it was one person who can affect an entire planet within a life time. One day I'll be able to do some day. Just one day

jacoblgames It was made from a book of the same name this is a biography of Walt that has a foreword from Walt's daughter Diana. That's as accurate as it gets. I didn't think Tom Hanks was all that good, so I don't think this guy can do any worse.
