After an 8 Hour bus ride we finally arrived in Mukdahan. Over the next 5 days we visit local sites plus visit family & friends plus show you the true Isaan experience. Beautiful location on the Mekong River with minimal tourist our stay was truely enjoyable, taking in the true Thai Isaan lifestyle. The highlights of our stay was the Great Buddha, Belief Museum (located near the Bridge to Laos) & The National Park located only 20km from Mukdahan.

You know Dodger, I have friends that go to Thailand practically every year. I have to say, that I doubt very much that their experience was anywhere near as good as yours, even though they love going there. I'm glad you posted this series, as you have enhanced my perception of Thailand even more so, and I now look forward to visiting soon myself. See you when you get back to freezing Melbourne! 🙂

Thanks 🙏 Thailand is truely a great place to visit especially if you get away from the touristy parts. There is so much to see & experience true Thai culture. The Thai people are very friendly, making a small effort in trying to speak Thai goes a long way. Really enjoyed Koh Samui, in actual fact enjoyed the whole trip. Bad train & bus rides and experience, finishing off the days travel with great accommodation at a fair price. Thanks again, see back in Australia.
