Hi Dan and Apple! Thank you for putting in the effort to share your trip to the market and that scrumptious-looking meal! It's encouraging that there was less (or no) "bush meat" offered this time around. Hope you had a safe trip home! Take care, Steve L.
Border enforcement is mostly checking for stuff they shouldn't be selling. Last time here was in November 2017 when we started building our house(I remember because we did a video here and the day after I flew back to report for work and left Apple to manage the construction for 7 months). There was a lot of "bush meat", snakes, monitor lizards and small mammals. This time it was completely void of all of that. Meth pills (yaba) also comes hidden in the bags of garlic and onions from across these borders so they are just doing regular enforcement.
That lunch looked amazing actually....as much as I love clown knives I know they're good eating also....they are invasive in the canals in southern florida and darcizzle did a catch and eat video once...
I know that felling , thai pople can eat. But I can not , Fried chicken and fruit safety,?? but I sure apple and her friend enjoy it , look fun and Dangerous, ha ha thanks for sharing
This year I started cutting out sugar when possible. I love the matcha and Thai tea drinks but now it’s either water or iced coffee with no sugar. I avoid fried food and limit rice…I have dropped about 12-15lbs and it’s staying off. I think that’s a permanent adjustment. Diabetes and obesity are issues here and I can see why.
Thai New Year is coming next month and they said every single hut will be occupied for 3-4 days straight. It was actually pretty cool but my butt started hurting after a while because I am not used to sitting like that lol.
That was a very interesting video. All the look good, not sure about some of the things there though. Not sure about Rats though people eat Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Squirrels so I don't imagine they're that much different. I bought some dried Mealworms, Crickets and Locust before Christmas. They were quite nice with a few beers and made a nice sandwich. I've never thought that there was much meat on Chicken's feet. I love the idea that if the food might not be safe your friend can eat it. Or would it be alright for local people who are use to it?
Local people are going to eat the local food regardless. We try to be a bit careful what we are consuming. If it makes one person sick, it is probably going to make everyone sick.
@@AA-zv6yo People are too easily offended. My sarcasm is on point but not well received. I’ve had full on arguments on here about me not wearing a hat in the sun and how I’m going to get skin cancer. I was even called a pedophile because my t-shirt had a cat on it. Better I leave it out…hard to cancel someone like me that has no sponsors and is 100% independent but not worth the headache lol.

Thank you for the effort you put into producing this video and for sharing Thai culture.

What an amazing trip!
Thank you for sharing!
That was cool! I noticed the military presence at the market. I assume they get some runners now and then.

nice place to have lunch.
Such a random place for lunch- but it looked awesome.
It was just a slow Thursday but we were assured that in four weeks for Thai New Year, that place will be absolutely packed.
Awesome!! Cheers from this Aussie in China!
Only thing I would eat would be the fruit and egg rolls.
The fish and papaya salad were actually very good...the fried stuff I try to avoid.
damn I would starve over there lol

Very popular food fish here and not really much bones with tender meat.
Damn I love you two and your adventures so much!!
Cool, lots of that I would love to try, even the insects. 😅
5 star
I’m starving.
