Hi, my problem is that I have uninstalled a program using the add/remove option & the registry editor but it won’t disappear. It’s still showing up in my app list. I did the CMD option but it’s not listed there to remove.

I have never even thought of removing software by command prompt. Great info as usual, Brian. I personally use Revo Uninstaller as it removes most left over folders etc.

I wanted to up grade to a M.2 drive again that’s went ok and at the same time I bought a dvd version of window 10 pro .... but rather do a fresh install and loose all my programs I went to use change key but when I enter it it says it’s not recognised.... is it because I upgraded from window 7 ? Britec09 yes that’s correct I did what you said did my free upgrade from windows 7 home to windows 10 home This week I bought a Samsung 500Gb M.2 Drive along with a DVD of windows 10 PRO and rather than do a fresh install I thought I had nothing better to do but change the key but when I do this it says it doesn’t recognise the key I’ve tried it a few times Just to make sure I typed it right .... but if I have to do a fresh install then so be it but a lot of work to install all my programs .. Both were bought from PC shop in Bolton think you will know who I mean lol ..... thank you P.S love the channel

@@Britec09 Yes just stalled after entering the uninstall command. i waited for 6 minutes then closed the window. Opened PowerShell and the sequence worked to uninstall eM Client.
Do you know how to uninstall/delete windows 10 enterprise ltsc evaluation version. It inactivated the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 trackpad and touchscreen, mouse is not working as well, only keyboard is working.

How to uninstall a software which is not listed in "product get name".. Because I'm not able to uninstall it through control panel as well. Getting an error stating "Error finding installer class".
But why you want to do this, this is a very complicated way of deleting programs, you should know these commands, it can also be done with the uninstall from w10 or better yet with Revo uninstaller, Revo also uninstalls the reg keys and everything which is left behind from the app that is uninstalled.
If you work in IT and use an RMM system you can use backstage and uninstall programs while the use is using the computer. It may not be something that the average user would use much but it can be VERY useful if needed

How would you download and install new programs from the internet using Command Prompt?
Cool! I often use WMIC to get the computer serial number. My old eyes often can't read the tiny printed serial number!

I get the serial number in a command prompt, copy it and paste it into Notepad where I can increase the font size! Sad but necessary...
