There will never be another Kawasaki H2. You are in the lucky position to get press bikes, ride them long term without spending your own money by informing us what's good and great. If you sell the H2 you'll probably never get to ride one again and I truly believe they will keep gaining value.
What he said 👏
It’s easy to get carried away with new products especially bikes but every now and then something special comes along and it’s worth keeping and like you say there won’t be another H2 ….
Top advice
Totally agree! I was thinking exactly what you put before I even read the comments! 👍
Exactly!! The next H2 will be …..ELECTRIC ⚡️ AND I DONT MEAN electric as In good ! 😂😂Keep the beast Chopsie 👍🏾
I would honestly, absolutely, definitely, no way on this earth would I sell that bike. Your money is safe as houses with that bike. If you sold it you would spend the rest of your life regretting it. Love you + love the channel. Thanks for bringing us all such joy ❤❤
couldn't agree more.
It's a keeper.
Keep it, keep it, keep it, keep it, keep it, keep it, keep it
👍🏾I had a 1990 ltd. Edition Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider in 2002 .. paid £1200 for it with 34k on the clock and sold it for £1500…. It’s now worth £40’000 !!! So sometimes it’s better to STICK not TWIST ☹️
YES...... SELL IT
Material possessions aren't what's important it the memories you create with them that matters!❤
Er no. I bought my Triumph new in 79 aged 18. Thats 44 years ago... Still have it, could never sell it, and when i get too old to kick start it, my son gets it.
@@michaelhayward7572 Cool story, your son is gonna sell it, either before or after you kick the bucket...🤷♂
@@Dius765RS nope.
Sorry to burst your negativity bubble dude, what he does with it when i'm gone is his decision and his life choices. But, he's well into his motorcycles and appreciates what this bike is to his family name...hint, its very non std and been featured in magazines and calendars.
I always assumed you would be buried with the H2 but if you're constantly worried about dropping it or putting excess miles on it, maybe it is time to move on. A pikes peak or M1000R would create lots of new content for the channel.
I'd keep it. You get to try lots of bikes and they'll always keep coming. You won't find another H2. Hang on to it, even if you only ride it a few times a year, you'll smile the whole time!
Don't sell it Chopsy, many out there like me can't afford one but would love one so getting to see you tear around Sussex and Hampshire (like I do on my gen1 Bandit) is as close as we will ever get to the real experience. You have your other machines for their intended purposes so if you can afford to keep it you should mate. Enjoy and keep more H2 vids coming!!!!
Keep it! Your heart says keep it. Don’t follow your head.
I would personally hold onto it, even if you only ride it twice a summer. Could you shift another bike or two to make space for the Multi or Diavel? Either way, I’d hold on
I think it comes down to how your channel works financially. If you were a typical bike owner, then it’s a no brainer, keep it. But you have made fantastic content with the H2, and maybe there isn’t anything left to do with it. You could sell it and reinvest in something like a multistada, and start a new journey of mods etc. so although it would be depreciating, it might be earning you money through views on the channel. This all depends on what you get from UA-cam, which I don’t know.
I agree with everything you're saying here but it's such an iconic bike, it just sitting in the garage during all the talking head content etc complements the channel. All those other bikes, while fantastic, don't have anywhere near that same wow factor. You'd need something crazy like a Desmodesici to outdo it & even then it's close.
You’re so like me buying and selling all the time, my misses loves it ! Keep the kwak. Get a lone for another. If whatever you get depreciates fair enough, have a bit of fun and sell it. Keep the kwak as an investment but one that ultimately could be sold should the need arise. You know it makes sense. Too many bikes sold only to be regretted.
Literally the warmest bike rider on UA-cam.
Loving the single camera video format - can we start a thing where there's more of that on the internet??
Haha yeah! Only issue is speedo blurring though 🤣 well on H2 videos anyway!!
I've gone back to that myself. Editing 360 footage to then edit it again into 4g was a ball ache. 😆
@@LambChopRides strategically placed phone mount buddy 😅
I absolutely love that bike and all the mods only add to the exclusivity. It’s way too much for the road but so is every hypercar. The value will certainly go up, it’s a very safe bet. I know that feeling but I’d keep it, it’s a special thing!
Sell it to a close friend, then buy it back later...
Greg looks like he's got a smell of cash about him.
😁👊
I wish!! 😅
@@gregtufnall6276😂
Abahah this comment is spot on
Or Womble. Bet he's got a few quid tucked up under the mattress. Those Aprilia owners are a tight-fisted lot or they would've paid more money and bought a Ducati!
Your not wrong there! 🤣
I think it will keep appreciating, I'd definitely keep it just because....well....look at it!! Unless you're really just not enjoying it as much anymore, and worry about it etc. Then sell it and move on to something new :)
I think only you can make the decision dude.. if it were me and UA-cam was my job then I would sell it and pick up something which would add add more content and views, subs etc. don’t get me wrong this bike is a beauty 😊 and will only prob go up to a point, but will you ride it and if you pick up something else your not as worried you’ll prob ride more 👍👍 just my opinion
I think this is the one you keep, everything else can go, you're literally riding the 1% dream bike 99% of bikers in the world think about.
Deffo keep it. There are quicker bikes around a circuit and better handling bikes but the H2 is really special and in my opinion will continue to increase in value, a modern day 750 Turbo if you will.
Back in the 80’s I saw a Lamborghini Muira with the bumpersticker ‘He who dies with the most toys win’ That was the 80’s & 90’s for you!
There is no doubt in my mind that this bike is a keeper. The other bikes will go down in value, this will only go up. Besides, what a cracking rare bike!
Keep it! It'll be a collectors piece and gain value in times to come! Special sports bike, and it will be unique in that category forever.
Nice to see someone riding on YT like most of us do! Guess its tricky to not incriminate yourself but those overtakes were fantastic to behold 👍🏻
Keep hold of it Chopsy. You've worked hard to own it so just enjoy it, even if it's just by polishing it in the garage 😅.
I don't believe it would lose any value now, it's a very special thing!
Chopsy, I say sell it and try something new, for me life’s all about experiences, I chop and change quite often and plan to all the time I’m in a situation where I’m lucky enough to be able to. You’ve had the H2 experience, move on and try something new!
I think that bike will end up in the same desirability as the black shadow with the price to match
You don’t seem to use it much, and fresh content on new bikes is good for the channel. I’d sell it. But if you just want a garage queen as an investment then keep it.
Keep it Chopsy 100%. You said it yourself it’s your dream bike and it’s your savings. Keep it as a show piece and ride it when you like. Same as the cossy it’s only going up, I’ve got a Mk2 escort and that’s gone stupid money only paid £350 for it. I’ll never sell it though it’s not about the money it’s the smile it puts on my face when I drive it.
Good luck in your decision mate and safe riding 👍.
The way that thing took off from 11:17 onwards tells me it needs to stay 😁
Yes 🙌🏼
Variety is the spice of life. Having said that, I’d keep it if I were you.
If it helps, I STILL regret selling my RD500 in 1990. Bought new in 1985.
LCR if you can keep it.....keep it!
I have a H2 and I’m going to keep mine for as long as I can. I absolutely adore this bike; it’s so special.
There’s only so many unique and interesting bikes out there. This is one of the more intriguing sport bikes on the market right now in my opinion. I would only sell it if there is something out there that’s a dream bike.
Unfortunately "Dream Bikes" are not "Dream Bikes" when you actually own them. They, generally, seem to become the bike that you don't think you should ever sell until you need funds to buy your "Dream Bike". Then, it seems that, even if you are lucky enough to be able afford to buy all your "Dream Bikes" then you don't have time to ride them all, so now they become "Investments", so you want to keep the mileage low and then you have to decide whether to cash in on your "investment", in order to buy your "Dream Bike"? Oh!, just a minute, have I just "long windedly" described motorcycle ownership? 🤔🤨🤯😁 As an afterthought, will there ever be an "Electric" "Dream Bike", surely not? 🤣😂
Hi chops,
In terms of practicality definitely diavel or M1000R both r winners , but as u said no more H2 in the UK meaning prices r going tremendously up man that bike is definitely the one and only "untill now" the only supercharged bike ever created.
My opinion it is keeper.
Definitely keep the H2 Chopsy. It’s absolutely stunning. I would sell the K8 and ZXR(once done up) and then buy a diavel. Imagine owning the H2 and Diavel, what a garage that would be.
I don't think you should sell it, it's a special bike, and yours is extra special. So keep it, keep enjoying it, and maybe take the H2 to a big trip with Greg
TMF keeps his Panigale as a garage queen, which is fine. For me if I've started to think seriously about changing then it's definitely time to sell.
TMF Has sold it!
@@christopherhorton5449 No he hasn't.
@@simonbowen6653 a guy on the Ducati forum bought it last month. TMF hasn’t mentioned it yet
Watch his most recent video about an e-bike, he actually refers to the number of miles he's done on his Panigale in the last year.
Just started the video, so before i get into it I am already telling you to keep it. There are only a few of your H2's around and the value will keep going up!
If you don’t ride it sell it and add something on the channel that maybe opens a new audience
Keep it ,watch the value rise 💸 💰 🤑
Definitely a conundrum Chopsy. The issue is will they go up long term? (as opposed to up and down in the short to medium term which is inevitable). I've just bought a 1979 Honda CBX1000 6 cylinder (and selling my Streetfighter V4 to fund it) for the same reasoning that it will, over the long term (10 years +), go up in price where as the SFV4 will continue to go down. My advice would be if you come to the conclusion that they will go up in the long term, then hang on to it, but long term is 10 years plus.. Don't hang onto it and then sell it in 2 years time as market fluctuations at that time may mean the prices will fall and you'll be in the same situation as the Cosworth!!
Definitely keep it! It's a dream bike for many and you own it. It's something special and I think you'll regret eventually when you sell it.
She’s a keeper!, it’s kind of unique and special to you, you’ll never get another like it!!
That is a lifetime bike, it'll put a smile on your face forever. Long into the future you'll look at it in your garage, as we now look at the classic Ducati, Moto Guzzi, etc
Some bikes are just keepers
100% I'd keep it Chopsy.. Yes, you could sell and chuck the cash into some other more 'sensible' investment but I suspect you'd always regret that.. Your Cossie story really chimes with me, so many vehicles over the years I desperately wished I'd kept!! 😭😂
Bikes and cars aren’t a cash investment, they are an enjoyment investment. If you have had your fun with it, move it on 👍
If you can afford to hang on to it, the value will always be good in the long term.
First time viewer of the channel, but my god... how could you sell it?! That's just the best looking bike I've ever seen in my life. I'm normally a huge fan of the black/dark chrome w/e with the green tubular... but this is just divine. I don't know is this is stock/special option package/aftermarket but whatever it is, this is a work of art. Thanks for sharing it. Stay safe out there
edit: I've just watched your initial first video after purchase, it looks pretty similar in that one too (maybe less carbon?) I guess I've only seen them with more green accents, but yours is the best looking I've ever laid eyes on. It really is just a rolling exercise in engineering... brilliant.
Thanks Jeremy 👍yes done a few tasteful mods to it over the years
Hold onto it mate. You'll regret selling it, even if you don't take it out that often. I think you're right, there will never be another bike like it.
Keep it. You have the great garage space and cool arm chairs to sit and admire it’s beauty. Then take it a spin on the odd day for the thrill. It will go up in value. Plus you get to ride loads of other bikes and you own other great bikes. Keep it !
Ofc you should , it looks gorgeous
I love the look of your H2 and you've said it's not too comfortable but that review you did on M1000R and you loved everything about it but also you loved the older model.
I'm going to say SELL IT!
great vid bud glad you sorted the bike out i keep hold off it as like you was saying they will just keep going up in money i bet everyone at loomies was all over the bike chatting away about it
Appreciate your frankness Choppsey, always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Much appreciated 😁👍
looks like a ride to Loomies ;-)
I'm a believer bikes are for riding (when working) not hoarding, if you hold onto it with the thought of selling later it will subconsciously restrict the mileage you do on it so not to be detrimental to the resale value...variety with bikes is the most fun anyway. Use it or sell it is my two pennies worth...
I’d recommend keeping the H2 from an investment perspective. They are quite rare, sought after and discontinued, so should have a solid residual. The other bikes are not limited production as far as I know so as new bikes are likely to depreciate. However, they’re all fantastic bikes! If your heart craves a different bike you should nevertheless sell it and get what you want. We only live once! Great channel, keep it up!
I love the H2, it's a one of a kind super sports bike that truly looks, sounds and rides incredibly well. However, the thing to ask yourself is, do you need all your bikes to be sports bikes? I'm disabled from the waist down, not to do with biking, just health issues, but I always wanted to have a bike of different genres ie sports, adventure, tourer, cruiser and maybe something else. The ability to pick the type of bike to ride in the morning depending on how you feel or the weather, it just gives you the flexibility to ride each one whenever it suits you. At the end of the day, it's your choice of the bikes you enjoy, perhaps having all sports bikes suits you better?
You can send it over to me and i will babysit it till you wake up to yourself and decide to keep it LOL. I seen one on the weekend out in the hills near me. I was tempted to turn around and give chase and see if he was a straight-line warrior or if he could actually punt it through the hills. Either way, it was an epic-looking rig in the flesh. KEEP IT - Money comes and goes no point in being the richest man in the cemetery. Great vid again - keep it up mate.
I have one of these bikes (2015) and personally I wouldn't sell. It is not the only or best bike to have as there is no such bike in existence. It is a keeper to someone who appreciates motorcycles. Especially if you like a very fast bike that is nice to ride when you feel up to it.
I think keep it. ITS A H2! . no but seriously if you ever do an event in the future this is something i know everyone wants to see and hear!
From a dealer perspective you need to demo the pikes peak first and then ride this again to make your decision. You will always be saddened whenever you decide to sell this bike its clearly struck a cord. However I think this quite a big moment for you and your UA-cam channel. You know you want to keep content fresh but you don't want sell it early if keeps going up in value. You are having to choose between a bike you worry about dropping or damaging when it's your savings or trying something new or different. It's not an easy decision
That bike is a keeper. It’s appreciated value may plateau as you say, but I would bet it would then take off again only to keep climbing. There really is no other bike like it.
If this genuinely is your savings, pull the battery, park it, cover it, and let it be like a cash investment.
We’ve all owned that one automobile that we wish we had never sold.
Personally, I would keep hold of it. Enjoy riding it when the conditions are right and look at it in the garage whilst having a cup of tea the rest of the time. As you said, they aren't made anymore so are bound to keep going up in value.
i'd sell it whilst its in one piece tbh, problem with bikes like that is they just attract bad luck. anything extremely expensive/easy to damage should be avoided unless you're a millionaire haha. you can't have that much fun on a 250bhp machine on the roads of britain. just sort your ducati out and get a sports touring.
I wrote the below comment without watching the whole video - now that I have your investment angle was stronger than I had expected. Its not a very good reason to own any motorbike or classic car for that matter. I have 6 motorbikes and 10 classic cars and I could not give a hoot about the investment angle. I bought them because I liked them and enjoy owning them. To me what they sell for is irrelevant since somebody else will be doing that after I have passed on. Also don't listen to people who say oh get another bike for more content. What rubbish you get enough content already from manufacturers loaning you bikes so don't fall for that.
I think you should keep it. I do agree with all my reasoning, I’ve had a mark one Escort with all bells and whistles and also a Cortina mark 2 Lotus, sold them for nothing back in the day and look at what they’re fetching today! So I know what you’re saying. I only sold them because I had to buy my flat and I cried, I did. We only live once mate, you love it, it’s an investment as you said, just don’t think it is when you take it out as you know that riding is more a mental state. If your mind is positive you do ride better. Just keep your chances on your side, have fun without going berserk. You’ve got other bikes for that.
There's 1 of 2 ways you could go if you sold the bike to add to your channel if you sold the bike and bought another. 1: you could buy a vintage bike such as a GSX1100. 2: A Honda Goldwing and do some trips with another member of the gang. 3: V-Strom 800 for some long rides with some light off roading. Maybe even in Europe. 4: A cruiser for some evening rides and meet ups. So Rocket 3 or Diavel. 5: An electric bike, the way forward but not for long I don't think. 6: Bitcoin. I said one of 2 but the more I thought the more came to mind.🤗
It's a keeper chopsy 👍
dream machine for sure! i don't think i'll ever buy one but i'll always want one
If I had that bike, I would keep it. Let’s be honest, that thing will turn heads more than a Ducati.
That bike looks perfect with the carbon parts.
Keep it Chopsy. That bike is you all over.
Got mine a few months back, as far as I’m aware there’s only 3 in Ireland including my own, I’ve ridden sports bikes before and as much as I loved them I hated how uncomfortable they were, so with the ninja I was like it’s probably gonna be the same but I’m shocked at how comfy it is I’ve take it on 3+ Hr spins and no bothers looking at getting a few mods done for it and I’ll probably hang onto it for another good while what an absolute beauty of a bike 👌 love seeing your vids esp the h2 ones 😂
It really comes down to if you want to ride around on your savings. Unless you bank the cash (which is no fun) then you're always at risk of it being damaged anyway + extra depreciation with another bike too. If you keep it, you'll have that occasional special Sunday ride & eye candy in the garage & as has been said, you've plenty access to other bikes so I'd say keep it.
Chopsy we have one life live it keep the H2 as you clearly love it. Keep a close eye on the Market and sell it when it starts to depreciate in value there is always bike out there that will tempt you to sell but your H2 is a thing of beauty. And saying all of that the only person who can truly decide is you no matter what is said in the comments. Good luck and ride safe mate. 👊🏼🙌🏻
Before I even watch this video - KEEP IT👍. The other bikes are excellent machines but no where as unique and insane. Sometimes logic needs to be dismissed😊
Not my kind of bike however i would 100% keep it for the future investment like you said its the next cosworth.
Sell the k8 and the zx7 you have plus any other bits you got and put it into the M1000R and have that bike for everything you need as it'll do it all. Keep this as your special toy plus future investment... good luck I'd loose sleep over such decisions 😅😂😂
Plus you ride all kinds of bikes so you get you variety of bikes from this channel. 👍
Of all the choices that you've mentioned I personally wouldn't even consider a Diavel! I haven't ridden one but it's just a lump of a bike with an oversized rear tyre that supposedly handles heavily (a mate had one and got rid of after 8 months)
The M1000R is a serious contender, a do it all with ease and has the capability to Sunday scratch, tour anywhere and track day!
Have heard alot about the Pikes peak but if I was going Ducati it would have to be the Streetfighter V4.
Finally you can keep that absolutely beautiful H2, it's dripping exotica but if its un-useable and burning a hole in your head and pocket, then it might be worth cashing in? The Diavel would be just as un-useable too though I would think?
M1000R then.
The new diavel has very good handling, and loooots of power. Check Chopsies review, and comparison with the Rocket..
Chops it's an amzing bike. I think in 10 - 20 years or so it will be worth loads of money. As it's an investment I'd clean it all ip, cover it in protectant and leave it in the garage and let it appreciate. If you wanted another bike then yes, I'd get the Diavel V4, love that thing but if not just let the H2 price grow. I understand your pain....
I think you answered your own question before you even “rolled the intro”. Keep it. Keep it. Keep it. No brainer!
The other bikes you mentioned are amazing I’m sure… but not as as amazing as the Kawasaki.
Chopsy, do what feels right to you.
Have bike, have fun. Effing have bike, have fun and frikken send it.
What makes you happy and smile Mate, that's what matters.
Ride it to enjoy it.
Lovely machine Chops.
There are so many nice bike's out there now.....and selling the H2 wouldn't be a decision i would like to make mate.
But whatever you decide to do you know that you're going to end up with a great machine. 👍😊
The handling was easily improved with Brocks adjustable links, raised the rear 10mm and pulled the forks up 5mm (front lowered). Huge difference! It turned and held a line so much better!
I sold mine and bought a Tuono, BIG mistake! I now have a S1000R and really enjoy it but the H2 was stable, comfortable and special that normal bikes can't match... If it wasn't for right wrist surgery from a mountain bike crash, I'd probably still own it. Currently it's cruise control that allows me to keep riding but I do miss that bike a lot!
Keep it, the value is going up so you are not losing money on it. Think how much it is going to cost in depreciation if you buy a multidtrada for instance..And it is one of a kind, the others look a bit bland compared to your H2; I love it !
The GBP, among most other fiat currencies, are subject to the tax of inflation (your savings are losing their value over time as prices increase). Interestingly, because of their limited quantity, not being made anymore status, these bikes are gonna hold their value far better. Keep the bike, at least for a while longer. What an incredible machine.
I would keep it man. If I was you this is what I would do because sure it’s “just a bike” and you could move on and try something else but there’s nothing like an H2. I promise you it will hold value for years. They are rare and the people that truly want one are willing to pay a premium. You won’t regret it. Ride safe 💯
Sometimes you have to keep things long enough to appreciate what there worth. Keep it to ride at the festival of speed in twenty years time. Kids are going to grow up with electric this and battery powered that I feel sorry for them. That bike will always draw a crowd so will hold its value. 😊
100% keep it, it is the sense of occasion every time you ride it and it will always go up in money also you have other bikes to ride today to day
Alternative Option: keep H2, put together your ducati and sell that and also sell your super motard and see how much you have. To get loads of money for the H2 you'll probably have to keep it till your retirement. Interesting to see what you do?
Its a motorcycle icon, i think you'll regret selling it, so keep it Chops 👍👍🏍
I'm a hoarder. Like to keep my bikes and just add to the collection 😂, I would definitely hang on to it. You get to ride plenty of other bikes, have a track bike, and I'm sure you'll end up adding another to the garage before too long! As you've said before matey, this one is a piece of motorcycling history.
Having said that, I'd have a Pike's Peak, Diavel, or M1000R any day of the week as well.. Brilliant bikes. Tbh I'd ride the pikes peak and then try and compare it to the forthcoming M1000XR before making any decisions! The Diavel is a looker but I suspect you'd get more use out of the comfier position on those (though the Diavel looks comfy, but wind protection...) AND that longer travel suspension has got to be useful given the state of UK roads (which don't look like they're getting fixed anytime soon!)
I'll give you 5 mars bars and a pasty for it... 💰
If you can afford to keep it its a no brainer only gonna go one way and thats up. Had mine 9 years now. Love it. ,
I put mine up for sale but changed my mind after a couple of days, it's a keeper
Wouldn’t even consider getting rid of it!…
It’s a long term investment and a masterpiece at that, plus of course you are one of the lucky few!…
I'd keep it. I've noticed some rare sport bikes are starting to get serious money now. Even my RC51 which is only slightly rare has started to get up in value. I'm betting the closer we get to 2035 the higher they will go. Think of it as a retirement fund (fun)
Whenever there is any doubt, there is no doubt
I have the H2 and H2SX, I've have the same thought...sell or keep. Each time I ride it I want to keep it. It's like nothing else. The SX it so much easier to ride but doesn't excite as much. Note for many Kawasaki owners check for the cam chain tensioner recall....both my bikes were in the list and it's not just H2's
IMO: Sell the H2 if it’s only a money calculation for you. Keep it if it’s a heart strings or otherwise personal thing. See if Ducati will long-term loan you a Diavel V4. The Ducati seems like an amazing bike but it’s not a special bike. It would be a great one to test more! Great video Sir!
Yes, keep it! It will be a future classic,
M1000R base version then you can spend time modding it. Akra exhaust and RS2E remap etc. I just put a full system on my S1000R (shortie can) and it's LOUD LOUD LOUD. Need to go find my longer muffler now, it's insane with headers+shortie.
Yes Mr lamb chop keeping it real and confirming that money doesn't grow on trees like it does for some UA-camrs.
Having to save money earnt for some time before being able to make such a purchase.
Thanks for another great video. I may be 'barking up the wrong tree', but I'm inclined to think you've lost a bit of confidence riding the H2, particularly given the investment tied up in it. As you've enjoyed owning it for a few years now, if I were you, I'd sell-up before the summer's out and scratch that M1000RR 'itch'. Take care and ride safe.
