I turn 62 next month and buying a new LowRider ST for my Birthday. Having Saddlebags that expand are important to me as I need the extra storage . Also changing the pipes is a must. But a 117 Cubic inch motor is a monster engine for a low weight bike so going to leave that stock. I also agree with you and if you have the funds having the best possible breaking system is a must. Definitely changing the seat and as you mentioned adding high performance lighting is a must for me because I do not skimp on anything that makes riding safer. I did not consider changing the brakes but going to make sure I have ABS which may be standard now. I lived in NY for the majority of my life and now live in Austin TX so I can ride year round and the Texas Hill Country has to be one of the best places in the country for riding a bike. That is one beautiful build and that’s coming from a sport bike rider. The Brembo setup, the triple tree, the stealth intake system and last, but definitely not the least the suspension. Absolutely beautiful you can just imagine how she handles. You did not mention the brake lines, but they definitely look braided which is the way to go and a good master cylinder. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Funny, I was about to post how my FXLRST is absolutely perfect. Similar mods to you. I’ve been working on my 1985 FXR Police custom for several years with Sputh 120 motor and full custom chop and paint. Half way through the FXLRST came out and near perfect but modern! I did 9 inch risers, Saddleman, cam and Jackpot pipe, Baja headlight and forward controls (I’m 6’2”) and Ness 15 inch rotors. Wierd as I’ve had a ton of bikes and never perfect until now. I ride thinking “What does it need next?”. Answer: “Nothing”. Of course a big bore kit would not hurt but how much power is enough. I’ve done 600 miles a day and amazing.
Installed the triple tree from my machinst, and it's great, thank you! I also noticed reduced vibration in the bars, which i wasn't expecting. Thanks for recommending them
I just finished a 4k+ mile ride on my Fast Johnnie Low Rider ST from NW Washington state thru Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and back home to NW, Washington state. It was my best long distance ride experience so far compared to my FatBob (which I still love)! I rode over 900 miles from Ogden, Utah back to NW, WA in 17hrs with ease!
I'm glad to see that you are still rocking with Fab28. I've had their pipe on my sportster since 2020 (I have a 2019 iron 1200) and I have 19k on the bike as of today. I would leave the paint as is since the other bikes have a flashy paint job
Same paint job but Red! (To replace the black) Love your content bro, hope to be able to get time to watch more again soon! RubberSideDownBrooklynBrawler!
Whats your thoughts on using the Commander 3 tires vs.the stock tires? I like that you installed Commander 3 tires! That's what I use on my Fat Bob because I get so many miles with them and they corner very smoothly.
Erg...the factory bags were just starting to grow on me! Every bike builder i know will build their own bikes in the same manner, ergonomics/safety, performance and personal aesthetics in that order. And of course i totally expect a Jackson Pollack tribute paint job soon! @FXDLSBrooklyn Geeze, where do I get crow brisket? Rewatching this video to find out which mini floorboards you're using....slippery one you are, not naming the brand....
Can you please tell us exactly what lyndall brake disks, brake pads and brembo callipers are you using for the brake upgrades? Did you change the front brake pump as well? How much braking improvement did you notice? 10%? 20%?
nice modifications in line with your other bikes, I particularly like the black rotors which give a racy and aggressive look, I'm less of a fan of saddlebags, but that's because I prefer rigid saddlebags also for the handlebars that I find too high, but it's your style and that's what counts, as for the paint, I wouldn't change a thing, I like the clean and sober side of this color, I had a Sport Glide in this color and I finds her very beautiful. Otherwise, what cam did you put in ? it makes a good sound... Greetings from France...
Right on man - Like I said, I did really like those stock clamshell bags, but I figured I would mix it up for this year as I ran those all last year - Definitely happy I went with those rotors - Appreciate you stopping by man 🇫🇷⚡️
Cool bike! Personally, (im gonna be honest with my opinion)I’m not a fan of the leather bags, I would swap them either for leather bags from a deluxe softail or go big and do the road/street glide saddle bags. And for the appearance of the exhaust, it’s rough and doesn’t seem like they finished it. it needs some sort of trim to smooth it out. But I can appreciate the trade off for performance! Over all, I dig it, it’s brass knuckles to a bar fight. Do the paint job! Tie it all together.
So awesome that you drop this video today! I got the white sand pearl and thought of you when I got it, and today I’m going to get some handle bars and risers, intake, exhaust and suspension installed today!
Great rundown of your mods, especially the comfort mods. I was a long-time FXDX rider, now on a 2021 Ultra Limited, but I've had my eye on the Lowrider ST since it came out. I do a lot of touring (I have 40,000 miles on my 2021 Ultra Limited), and would love to have a Low Rider ST if I was sure it could handle long days in comfort.
I'd say keep the paint classic. Also, how far off pavement would you take this to get to a camp site for peace and quiet after a long night? I know it isn't a scambler, but it has me wondering what it can do with some 80/20 tires. I have a ADV currently, but it is just too tall and top heavy for me at 5' 5". I did test ride one of these (in this color no less), and it was just wonderful.
Now I can model my build after yours not having to differentiate between old models and looking close as you can to a FXRP growing up from Cali-shot out to ChIPs
Is that the Hold Fast Harley luggage rack / sissy bar? If not care you share the details please. The Harley version of it is on back order. Sick bike I love it! Nicely done
Yo! This may be a personal question and I completely understand if it’s not something you want to cover… but it’s something that I’m curious about nonetheless and would love to hear your opinion on; let’s talk economics. I’m a newer late model dyna owner (owned for almost a year now) and looking to have a reasonable build. Hoping for a stage 2, nice seat, nice suspension so on and so forth. With rent and a car payment, what’s your process to get your build completed? I feel like I’m chipping away so slowly at parts and it’s a little discouraging because I want a full dynabro build that makes me feel like I have a mile crusher. I definitely crush miles regardless, but I want what you have. How do I do that? What sacrifices have you made and what sacrifices should I be ready to make to drop that ohlins bank on my 09er dyner? Again, I know it’s very personal question but thanks for reading either way!

@FXDLSBrooklyn Thx for replying. I started using them with my 2012 Fat Bob, even though the stock tires looked RAD, but performed awfully. I started using Commander 2's, then 3's because they handled far superior to the stock Fat Bob tires, and I also love long road trips through high mountains and deserts and having a tire last around 15k, sometimes 20k miles for me is pretty amazing.
