Met these great men and Danny Richmond when I went to see Charles Mingus. I got to talk with George Adams, such memorable moments in my journey.

Giants who left us too soon. How blessed we were to have them.

It is a wonderful world as long as we can listen to George and Don and all the other jazz greats.

That chick with the Meyers Rum was clearly enjoying herself. Me, I don't need any booze, this incredible music gets me higher than that could ever do.

So glorious it sends chills up and down my spine and brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. What a wonderful man George Adams was. Thanks so much for reposting this. It was missed greatly after they took the previous copy down.

George performed this at Koncepts Cultural Gallery in Oakland (Awesome venue to listen to jazz back in the day). When the song was over I was mesmerized and it took me awhile to come out of the place that George's playing took me. I miss seeing him live.

Thx for your comments, Adams and Pullen were brilliant musicians. What a shame both of them had to pass away much to early!

Turning slop into high art. That's what these guys did. Just like Coltrane with "My Favorite Things." They're deeply missed.
