Hi Natacha I just want to say that I’ve been struggling with my weight ever since I can remember and a few months ago I decided to go on a diet yet again. I’m 160cm and currently 54kg. The thing is I know I’m not overweight or anything but sometimes people around you can make you feel like shit. I restricted my calorie intake massively and am struggling with extreme hunger. Finding your channel was the best thing I ever did. Your outlook on health and fitness is so inspiring and I am currently working on increasing my calorie intake. I love your content and honestly you’re the only fitness youtuber that I trust. Love you lots💜

It always baffles me that education in countries like the UK and US encourages competition between students so much, like being "the top of your class" or "performance awards". Is it just in Denmark that this is unheard of? I'd be a wreck if I had to deal with the stress and worry from such a competitive environment!
It’s uber competitive at some of the schools honestly. I don’t think it’s always a constructive thing and it actually led to me having an anxiety attack in an exam which I’ll never forget (my brain was working clearly but I couldn’t get my hand to write any answers!) I don’t thrive in that kind of environment personally but I think Mario and I are the same where it’s more about knowing we did what we could versus “beating” anyone. Even now if we present an idea for a client or release something that we know isn’t our best it doesn’t matter whatever the comparison or the feedback is, it still feels bad. SO, yep it’s really competitive and sometimes ruthless (especially in post grad research labs!) but I think Mario and I have a self-inflicted “pressure” or drive out of principle of not half assing, so I don’t blame the schools for how we were if that makes sense!

It's really impressive to physically see how much time and effort you put in the research and still brought up the courage to give it up to pursue what you actually wanted. I'm in the process of dropping out of my masters in sociology to do a second bachelors degree in psychology instead, and I often have the feeling of everything I worked for up to now being a waste of time. You really help me to see it as a valuable experience - I do know technically that I will still benefit from all the knowledge and experience I gained, it's just so easy to feel like I'm starting from scratch. Im 16 and think her videos apply to teens too. She promotes intuitive eating and training however you like. Dont compare how much you eat to others though cause as teens we need a lot more calories, carbs and fats that fitspos(except natacha and stephanie buttermore) promote
I’m 23 and when I was your age there was no UA-cam, Instagram, influencers...none of that bad stuff. Guess what? I was happy. The body issues started when Instagram became a thing (in my country, Italy). So I guess Instagram and socials are ruining the teenage years. I was (am) a gymnast and I loved (and still do) the sport. I was just having fun without thinking about the nutrition and the training blablabla. At that age, I was carefree and innocent, as teenagers should be. Life was honestly better without socials (i got Facebook when I was 13, but it was more a socializing tool that cool kids had). I was not thinking about nutrition because I was in perfect shape for my age snd height thanks to a mum who has always made us eat veggies and fruit even before the rest of the meal, and she would not allow to have sweets or prepackaged snacks (sounds harsh but I did have some of them, my grandma would spoil us sometimes). Trust me I was very happy and healthy doing the sport I loved and eating what mum would give me, with only Facebook as a social network (and WhatsApp when I got to the 2nd year of high school). That’s the advice I would give. Of course I’m not telling you to avoid social media but think about the impact that they can have. If you want to be on social media maybe stop following people who confuse you or who make you feel bad about your life/body, even famous models or other types of famous people. That’s why I follow natacha, she thinks fitness is more about the skills and not just the physique. You should have fun not think about nutrition at that age, in my opinion: your life would be much better. And I have a young sister that got anorexia when she was 13 (3 years ago) so I kinda see how harder it is for people your age nowadays.❤️😘
At 14 I promise don’t even worry about it. Literally don’t think about it. Click off this video and don’t watch any more fitness influencers or worry about what you eat at all babe. I’m being SO serious starting on this stuff too young can mess up your relationship with food for life. Find a sport you love and do that (if playing a sport is too expensive you can go for walks or jogs) and try and eat fruit and veg and that’s the only thing a 14 year old needs to be thinking about

Yes, my first thought. Her workouts aren't bad, but her titles are complete clickbait, leading people to believe that you can burn belly fat simply by doing ab exercises. Also, the fact that most people will work the same muscle group every day following her videos.

And if someone really thing he or she will grow muscles with two week of work you can’t help this person. People should be able to think by themselves.

I love your relationship with Mario. You have been so helpful to me. I had been eating 1100 calories a day. I'm currently slow raising up to 1400. I'm still not there yet, yesterday I ran 14km just because I wanted pudding but I'm adding more resistance training and trying to get stronger

Really Random you won’t put on weight if you’re between 0-1000 calories below maintenance like you say you are. I don’t want to sound rude and tell you what to eat and what to do but I’m a runner too training for a half marathon and have had food issues in the past so I know where you’re coming from, and it’s ok to put on weight, especially since I get the feeling you’re very underweight eating at that level. A healthy weight is the best thing for everyone even if it means putting on weight for someone skinny. You need to recognise the difference between excess fat and muscle and necessary fat. It is totally okay to put on weight, I promise, as long as you are a healthy weight. If you want to talk, let me know xxx
Really Random as someone who lost 40lbs in high school I struggled with adding calories back to stop losing weight. My advice is to add in healthy calories, so eating more calories but from healthy foods, and only increasing by about 100 a day a week. So if this week you do 1600 then next week do 1700 and so on until you reach your sweet spot

I absolutely loved this, i’ve been patiently waiting! I could just listen to you talk forever, you make everything interesting. It’s really cool knowing you worked with special needs kids, my mom was a special needs teacher :) my parents also have raised me with the same lessons about money which I appreciate. If I want something, I have to work for it and earn it myself, which can be frustrating but I know I’ll have a good mindset about money and spending when I’m older and on my own. I am a new subscriber and I LOVE your content- whatever you post! Your positive but realistic attitude, and what you teach/your workouts is not only entertaining but has been influencing me to challenge myself to be healthier, in a sustainable and realistic way. I’ve actually started craving healthier foods and feeling tons more energetic and healthy during my day + being able to do more during training (which I would normally call workouts but your accent is adorable)!! Trust me I was very happy and healthy doing the sport I loved and eating what mum would give me, with only Facebook as a social network (and WhatsApp when I got to the 2nd year of high school). That’s the advice I would give. Of course I’m not telling you to avoid social media but think about the impact that they can have. If you want to be on social media maybe stop following people who confuse you or who make you feel bad about your life/body, even famous models or other types of famous people. That’s why I follow natacha, she thinks fitness is more about the skills and not just the physique. You should have fun not think about nutrition at that age, in my opinion: your life would be much better.
And I have a young sister that got anorexia when she was 13 (3 years ago) so I kinda see how harder it is for people your age nowadays.❤️😘

At 14 I promise don’t even worry about it. Literally don’t think about it. Click off this video and don’t watch any more fitness influencers or worry about what you eat at all babe. I’m being SO serious starting on this stuff too young can mess up your relationship with food for life. Find a sport you love and do that (if playing a sport is too expensive you can go for walks or jogs) and try and eat fruit and veg and that’s the only thing a 14 year old needs to be thinking about

Yes, my first thought. Her workouts aren't bad, but her titles are complete clickbait, leading people to believe that you can burn belly fat simply by doing ab exercises. Also, the fact that most people will work the same muscle group every day following her videos.

I love your relationship with Mario. You have been so helpful to me. I had been eating 1100 calories a day. I'm currently slow raising up to 1400. I'm still not there yet, yesterday I ran 14km just because I wanted pudding but I'm adding more resistance training and trying to get stronger

Really Random you won’t put on weight if you’re between 0-1000 calories below maintenance like you say you are. I don’t want to sound rude and tell you what to eat and what to do but I’m a runner too training for a half marathon and have had food issues in the past so I know where you’re coming from, and it’s ok to put on weight, especially since I get the feeling you’re very underweight eating at that level. A healthy weight is the best thing for everyone even if it means putting on weight for someone skinny. You need to recognise the difference between excess fat and muscle and necessary fat. It is totally okay to put on weight, I promise, as long as you are a healthy weight. If you want to talk, let me know xxx
Really Random as someone who lost 40lbs in high school I struggled with adding calories back to stop losing weight. My advice is to add in healthy calories, so eating more calories but from healthy foods, and only increasing by about 100 a day a week. So if this week you do 1600 then next week do 1700 and so on until you reach your sweet spot

I absolutely loved this, i’ve been patiently waiting! I could just listen to you talk forever, you make everything interesting. It’s really cool knowing you worked with special needs kids, my mom was a special needs teacher :) my parents also have raised me with the same lessons about money which I appreciate. If I want something, I have to work for it and earn it myself, which can be frustrating but I know I’ll have a good mindset about money and spending when I’m older and on my own. I also relate with the happy crying 😂 it’s embarrassing sometimes because having a huge surge of any emotion will just make me cry, hahaha. Tell Mario hello! I miss you both!

I am a new subscriber and I LOVE your content- whatever you post! Your positive but realistic attitude, and what you teach/your workouts is not only entertaining but has been influencing me to challenge myself to be healthier, in a sustainable and realistic way. I’ve actually started craving healthier foods and feeling tons more energetic and healthy during my day + being able to do more during training (which I would normally call workouts but your accent is adorable)!! Hey Giovanna (: I guess I'm happy to be honest that there are a few things I can't be completely public about always so that I can explain why (e.g. I don't want to talk about creators that I disagree with because I'd rather talk to them personally and explain what I'm thinking instead of create public 'drama') and also that there are things that I am happy to talk about but need their own time to be explained fully (e.g. topics around how much money I make). I asked what people wanted to ask me and I'd rather explain why I'm not answering something just yet than ignore it and avoid the question - to me that would feel a lot more like not being fair and just using a Q+A which should be about peoples' questions to address whatever topics I want to talk about.
