"You forget what it means to be human, Pious! The human race will never go quietly into the darkness! For as long as you have spent summoning your lord, people have struggled against you! Now, thanks to their efforts, I now have three of the Ancients' essences! Now, Pious! This is the end!"
Alex's line here was really good and got you pumped up for the fight, but I don't think I'll ever forget Pious's line at that scene. The laugh and the way he said it was great. It just oozed with that classic bad guy feeling that was well done.
The combo of his cool looks, awesome voice acting, and how badass he was as he stalked you during this fight made Pious Agustus the favorite game villain of my youth
"Upon your journey you started off weak and befuddled. You we're like anyone else. Confused and without knowledge. But you did not let your emptiness beseech you. You allowed the ancients into your soul, and proceeded to walk across the history of which connects your journey. Your time is slim, and the wind is growing stronger. But fear not, for the mistakes that they have brought upon themselves in the past. Shall only continue to make your light stronger. We cannot correct what has happened. But the fog has not yet been completely shrouded. Take your stand, and fight the darkness. Use this knowledge, and save what remains of this decaying humanity. Alex. I believe in thie"
I feel like this game is a sadly forgotten Gamecube gem. I've beaten this game about 3 or 4 times. Even got the true ending. It's still a game that gives me legitimate chills! How many other games out there actually try and mess with the player with unique sanity effects?
I love this song ot conveys the journey you've been on so well. So many lives sacrificed to get to this moment as the champion of the light stands against the darkest of traitors mankind stands on the edge of extinction. 1 second to midnight and it's time to break the clock.
I think the soundtrack for this game was really good and fit each of the levels very well, but this track will always be the one that I remember the most out of the whole game. The first time I got into the boss fight I was very surprised to hear a track like this but also very impressed by how good it sounded. It's hard for me to think of another track from a video game for a boss fight that was even close to how good this is. Please tell me I'm not the only one that pictures an awesome fight or battle scene in my head when listening to this track. This just screams to be played for moments like that.
ChickyChi Y’know, that is a good idea. Here is a example move set for her. Specialties: Can deal plenty of damage and is speedy, but isn’t the best for taking the bullet. Standard attack: quick swipe with her gladius from the beginning. Up Smash, Unleashes a quick shotgun burst. Up attack: Three swings with her blade, the final more smash than damage. Up special: Leaps upward at a 45 degree angle for no damage, then shotguns in the opposite direction that you want to go, the kickback moving you a little bit. Side Smash: A magic-enhanced blow with the Book, which is wreathed in an element of Nintendo’s choice. Side attack: Attacking with the Gladius. Side Special: A blast with the shotgun and magic, followed by a non-damaging lunge in the same direction. Only the lunge if in the air, but she goes farther. Down Special: Green energy heals Alex after holding the effect for about 25% damage. Down attack: Alex shoulder slams in front, then stabs backward. Down Smash: Twin beams of energy burst from both sides. Final Smash: Alex powers the book into a dark vortex, which does minimal damage and moderate launch. However, the third time she activates this, she instead summons one of the Ancients. The summoned will throw beams of dark energy through walls at other players, dealing an Instant KO if the attack connects. He launches about 5 beams before it teleports to the top and emanates a massive high-launch field, similar to Tabuu and Master Core’s Giant form. Standard Special: A shot of the Shotgun followed up by a piercing dive. Did I forget anything? Ah, yes. Alex has a unique feature in which her damage quickly builds up on her over time, but she can heal by launching opponents (finishing off a foe) Once she hits above 110%, odd things start to occur, such as a random smoke bomb attached to her, she moves in the opposite direction, the screen will flash black occasionally when she attacks, etc. due to this implementing the Sanity factor.
Her stage would be the manor at first, which would be a secure box with windows to launch opponents out of, a destructible staircase on both sides, and a platform balcony for the second floor. The scene would occasionally change depending on which character has taken the most damage. If P1 for longer than 20 sec., then it stays/turns into the manor. If P2, then it becomes the room where Augustus put the four colored stones back, which is a long bottom floor with a solid altar in the middle.Occasionally there would be a zombie shambling onto the scene that can be launched easily, but has heavy damage. If P3, it turns into the French church from the start of the game, but
I didn’t finish. The church is on a cliff, allowing players to get flung off. If P4, then it goes to the ruins in Alexandria, which is a moving screen chunk through a hallway riddled with traps. Actually, let stage transformation change to the person who has the smallest number of 300-Current Damage + KOs x 50. This way, last place picks the stage. KO stands of # people YOU KOed, not how many times people KOed you.
Yes, the battle against the Guardian in the Temple (the one you fight when there is a war going on) is way more difficult... At least, until you find out what to do...After that,it;s a piece of cake...
It also can be: Tier-Pargon-Pargon-Aretak-Pargon-Pargon-Ulyaoth-Pargon-Pargon or Tier-Pargon-Pargon-Aretak-Pargon-Pargon-Xel'otath-Pargon-Pargon. Depends on the artifact you chose in Pious' chapter.
There was one that stumped me for a while. For a puzzle, I had to summon a zombie or something, so I cast the spell. The message comes up that I don't have enough magic, so I wait a while and try again. Message comes up again. I try several times before I read the message: "You do not have enough sanity points to cast this spell". Then it wore off.
I've beaten this game at least 100% with churturgah, Xeleotath and Ulyoth, got the Manterock rune abused it and got all the diagnosises from all enemies, got the bonus ending which prompted me to Delete my file and start again but by completing it faster.. I love this game because it's discovering people who also encountered the same threat Alex is and the voice acting and music make it Exceptional...
Dude. Imagine Alex's ultimate. Chattur'gha smashes your opponent with his claw, then Ulyoth fires a magical beam on your opponent, then sends them through a portal. Xel'otath looms above them, and then shatters their mind before falling into a hole in the ground where Mantorok snatches them up to deal massive damage...
I think both could be in, since one can be an echo fighter of the other, since both use the same spells and both used the Gladius. And that Final Smash idea is the coolest thing ever, my idea was just a 7 Purple Rune Magik Attack followed by a final blow from Mantorok.
Mruuuheheheheheh! The end indeed! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! MWAA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! tier pargon pargon aretak pargon pargon chattur'gha pargon pargon
The most underrated game of all time.
This game truly deserves a lot more love and attention than it gets.
"You forget what it means to be human, Pious! The human race will never go quietly into the darkness! For as long as you have spent summoning your lord, people have struggled against you! Now, thanks to their efforts, I now have three of the Ancients' essences! Now, Pious! This is the end!"
"HAHAHAHA! The end, indeed!"

Fool! I spit at thee!
The Darkness shall be eternal!
The combo of his cool looks, awesome voice acting, and how badass he was as he stalked you during this fight made Pious Agustus the favorite game villain of my youth

This track is so unbelievable amazing. I love it so much like the game itself. One of the most atmospheric games of all time!!!
That song rocked
Amazing game, one of the best i have ever played.

Alex and Pious have a dance off to decide the fate of the world.
Ulyaoth, Xel'lotath & Chattur'gha disliked this. Mantorok liked it of course
So did Hasha'gik.
Beat this game last night and everyone in the chat was rockin' to this during the stream! What a great game!
This game is an actual masterpiece. This game and the Metroid Prime series were so ahead of their time. Glad I grew up with the GameCube. 💯
I, too, like spooky techno music in the background for my world-saving fights lol
I just beat it, and to be honest it's been a long time since a game has left me stunned like this one has
@Tyranogre "*spits* I SPIT on thee! *Holds up arms* The darkness. shall be. eternal!"
The darkness! Shall be! ETERNAL!!
FOOL!!! I SPIT AT THEE; THE DARKNESS SHALL BE ETERNAL!!!!!!
God damn banger. I forgot I was playing a game and not just hearing audio.
Alex Needs to be in Smash with this song in her Stage. I Love Eternal Darkness!!!

If she has to be in Smash, bring Pious as an echo fighter for her. He uses the exact same sword that Alex has during his time as a human.
* Maniac laughter. * ... The end indeed~!!!
Yeah, that one was pure epicness!
a friend of my brother played this song when he got his certification for the graduation xD
And so the final battle begins...
This makes me sad that Shadow of The Eternals was scrapped.
oh man the theme that plays during the final showdown
@Tyranogre
*Evil laugh* "The end indeed!"
@portal1337 Yeah, Pious Augustus was a Roman Legionnaire, you are correct. Centurion rank, to be exact.
I typically got sanity effects that were just flat hilarious, such as the blue screen of death! XD
After going through the game. I had to pause this part and hit up the disco lights in my house because it's so refreshing xD
What pious and the ancients failed to realize... is that humanity's potential for evolution is limitless
Yes, the battle against the Guardian in the Temple (the one you fight when there is a war going on) is way more difficult...
At least, until you find out what to do...After that,it;s a piece of cake...
"No, my death is just the beginning!"
Wow, this is quite epic.
@thepatriot7111 I always found it funny how he can spit when he is a skeleton. He has no lips! Nor tongue! D:
Rave Party in the Darkness! :P
It combines ancient and modern badassery in a fight against a timeless threat. Very fitting.
All the music was cool in this game😊
probably the best game of all time
Just beat this game again. Probably the 15th time! One of my favorite games. The last battle is awesome.
Getting this game in the mail soon. :D
Amazing Game, I dont see how people say it hasnt aged well. Not really scary but very fun to play
Fantastic Game!
"Ha Ha Ha Ha The end indeed!"
Worthy of a remake! Or at least a remaster. Loved this game. I wouldn’t even mind seeing a sequel.
Wow. This songs amazing I love it. Perfect for the mood.
I think all the ancients disliked this heh heh😂
great music
Oh...MY.. GOD, FINALLY!!! thanks for share :D
I fucking love my game cube, too bad the secuel wont be released...any time soon :(
It also can be:
Tier-Pargon-Pargon-Aretak-Pargon-Pargon-Ulyaoth-Pargon-Pargon
or
Tier-Pargon-Pargon-Aretak-Pargon-Pargon-Xel'otath-Pargon-Pargon.
Depends on the artifact you chose in Pious' chapter.
Or Tier-Pargon-Aretak-Pargon-Pargon-Chattur'gha-Pargon.
@Tyranogre hahahahaha.... The end indeed!
After you finish the story with each essence, save the game and start it over, it has new videos and a new ending!
The most epic boss battle music in recent history (and yes, it's even better than One Winged Angel)
I love that cammot that when I had this game numurus time❤❤
There was one that stumped me for a while.
For a puzzle, I had to summon a zombie or something, so I cast the spell.
The message comes up that I don't have enough magic, so I wait a while and try again.
Message comes up again. I try several times before I read the message:
"You do not have enough sanity points to cast this spell".
Then it wore off.
They should have played this when Dr. Strange and Iron Man fought Thanos
I JUST beat this game!
I've beaten this game at least 100% with churturgah, Xeleotath and Ulyoth, got the Manterock rune abused it and got all the diagnosises from all enemies, got the bonus ending which prompted me to Delete my file and start again but by completing it faster.. I love this game because it's discovering people who also encountered the same threat Alex is and the voice acting and music make it Exceptional...
this song needs to be in Smash Bros.....of course I also wish Alexandra Roivas could be a playable fighter too
Pious for Smash when?
Would be great for either of them to join the fray, let alone having Edward Roivas as a playable character.
@@RATPT0I Alex and Pious, indeed
This theme would be perfect for a Dark Souls boss battle.
Damn I would like to be able to mod skyrim so that its shoutsystem works more like eternal darkness magic system.
Ya know this could fit in re4’s final battle with Lord Sadler
I love sence all all 3 ancents❤
yeah,eternal darkness rules...the best 4ever :)
Pargon pargon pargon!
I would like than Nintendo makes a remake of this game for wii u and new 3 ds consoles
How tough would it have been to fight in a mantorok route lol
I had this game and sold it at some point...that was a mistake :[
You should be in for a treat.
As the game progressed you got storger and less confuseed
Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus~~~
Auguuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuustuuuuuuuuuuuuuus~~~!
I loved this game when and it was cool esepecly when you sanity full but other people might of liked the hallutions that are metioned❤
Final boss battle at a dance club!
i'd like to hear remix of this for smash bros
How about Pious instead? I think that'd be the first time Nintendo actually had a character represent a franchise with just an antagonist alone.
I think both could be in, since one can be an echo fighter of the other, since both use the same spells and both used the Gladius.
And that Final Smash idea is the coolest thing ever, my idea was just a 7 Purple Rune Magik Attack followed by a final blow from Mantorok.
@ Heidelbergaraiza
Dammit u beat me to it...
@Tyranogre
"The end indeed!!"
hahahaah! I know that feeling. :)
Mruuuheheheheheh! The end indeed!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! MWAA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
tier pargon pargon aretak pargon pargon chattur'gha pargon pargon
Another game a lot and enjoyed and to beat pious you need the enchanted from ash’s to. Ash’s is. Anyone is interested in that tip
Nintendo, please remake or remaster this game.
Ironically, this was the easiest battle of the game. I guess Pious is one of those skeletons that talks much shit but can't back it up ;)
So...like was Pious was still Pious consciously when he changed or...
Why does this video have 3 and a half minutes of silence at the end?
Sounds like a hardcore version of "Who wants to be a millionaire"
your song in not heard :/
0 dislikes... makes sense to me
it start a little bit boring but it gets better =)
This track is wasted on pious augustus. Such an easy final boss.
Alex looked pretty hot as she fought poius🎉
Equip the eternal glaive*
0 people beat Pious it seems :D
"..The end, indeed.."
Hahahaha... The end indeed!
I just beat my first playthrough of this masterpiece (=
