Also Nilou's EEE combo has interruption resistance, so although NA NA E is faster to activate the passive u can get interrupted in the middle of it specially now where tons of mobs have continuous stagger/interruption combo, in those situations just 💃💃💃

@@waiyisit I noticed this too when dealing with 12-3 lower half because opening with NA NA E is actually a net time loss once staggered
They also don't mention that the hydro ring ticks so fast that even if you missed all the skill strings you can still get the key sword buffs triggered by just standing for a second beside an enemy.

A few nice tips but I had hoped to learn more about controlling who actually causes reactions since not every character has the same EM. I feel that is still quite inconsistent in my runs.
I pulled Nilou in this patch and i'm living her, my favorite team is Nilou, Nahida, Kokomi and Collei (My favorite Character) thanks for your guides
you might wanna try yelan/yaoyao instead of collei/kokomi for a stronger team! although I totally get if you're going for characters you like better, as long as you're having fun and enjoying the game

Side question: Would a team of Nilou/Yelan/Nahida/Baizhu work well for on-field Nilou? I've always wondered if there was a way to make the on field version of Nilou's skill not feel worse compared to the aura.
I don't cover unauthorised stuff, so will just have to wait until release and do testing on baizhu then
For single enemies yes, but not for multi enemies.

Cleared Abyss floor 12 second half with Nilou C1R1, Nahida C0, Barbara en YaoYao. Was easier then i thought. Only had to make sure Nahida wouldn't be insta killed by accident. Hope i can get C2 Nilou from the banner although it's not that needed when you don't fight single enemies.

My friend pulled a Nilou first and I help built it. I loved my run on abyss and took me days to decide if i should really pull. I did and won my 50-50! Also I took my chances to get a copy of Xiphos but Key of deeznuts spooked me on my 1 multi. Suffering from success tho coz I am guaranteed on weapon banner and plans to use it on LoFI/Freedom banner.
Been playing and showcasing Nilou for half a year. I didn't know about the particles after using her E lol. Not that it's much visible in the Bloom hell but funny that I didn't know that.
"When in doubt use Sac" might also be the best advice overall and you just made me question my existence now as I started to think about which weapons I use in my team and well... My Nilou team (Nilou+Nahida+Kokomi+Collei/DMC/XQ/Yelan) uses Sac in all 3 members (Iron Sting for Nilou) regardless of who I pick for the flex slot.

Tbh in my bloom team of nilou nahida barbara yaoyao(yaoyao instead of collei since barbara healing isn't enough), I just don't generate enough particles for nilou's burst, since barbara doesn't generate any, for the burst to recharge without completely relying on enemy particles. Is it recommended to build 140ish recharge on her in barbara teams?
yes I would still recommend it. the more er means you get it more frequently, and also as mentioned hp artifacts are common so it's achievable to target these optimisations
On a non-key, full HP Nilou would it be better to use the sword dance variant of her E so she can't trigger any blooms with the aura and hand all bloom ownerships over to a full EM Kokomi? Or is it still better to use her aura?
i mentioned this in a previous video, but bloom teams are not like other teams. you don't care about "perfect", clean ownership of 1 high em character. not to mention nilou teams have huge amounts of em and reaction buffs to the entire team, which other types of teams do not have. a general rule of thumb for these teams is quantity > quality 👍

I managed to C2 my Nahida winning two 50/50 🎉. 79K bloom sure looks nice on screen. I took Nahida, Kokomi, Nilou, and Yao Yao to the second half of floor 12 this time.
Edit: I did another run with Instructor YoYo, my highest bloom damage was 81510. C2 Nahida is darn insane 😳. I wonder if C2R1 Nahida and C0R1 Nilou can do 100K bloom.

I pulled nilou this patch and was very very lucky to get two of her in 1 pull. I'm honestly loving her and I'm enjoying artifact grinding again.
Thats insane 2 characters in 1 pull! Never knew you can get more than 1 character in 1 pull, maybe its a bug but im not sure

yes it's ok, you can use anything on dmc really
I wanted to get it from its first banner, but I was focusing my savings on Dehya, and now that I got it I focused on Nilou, with only 3-4 days of testing I fell in love even more than I already was [watching videos of her, I already fell in love with her teams] and I knew they were very enjoyable, now I know it myself, so much so that I also got Key of Khaj-Nisut.
I love Nilou's design since the 3.0 leaks and I loved his kit when it was announced. I'm going to farm whatever it takes for a Nilou 74444 HP with decent ER and decent EM.
Not having it, I couldn't experience those criticisms that Nilou loses a lot of potential without Nahida, I don't think that's the case, I notice her with a very high potential, and with her kit she always has room for improvement (especially in variety, the more Hydro/Dendro characters, the more it will improve in that aspect).
I think that Nahida above all is the comfort of application in AoE (long distance), 1.5u, and great uptime but I do not agree with those who, because they have Nahida on a pedestal, speak of her as "Must pull for Nilou", "without Nahida, Nilou loses a lot / is nothing"
Since days before 3.5 I watched all your videos of Nilou, and I continue to do so, I still review your videos to improve aspects of my gameplay and maximize Nilou's potential.
I like your guides, and I also agree with your point of view regarding Nilou's theorycraft since he is the character with the most dependence on gameplay and game situations Therefore, doing a Nilou TC is very complex and is more a matter of sensations and "trial and error" than of numbers.
I don't like the Nahida 3Hydro team either (just like you i think)
On paper it looks very strong and blah blah blah, but in practice it has some very big shortcomings imo (lack of survivability), I prefer a 2H2D without Nahida rather than playing Nahida 3H (for example).
I would continue writing and writing, but I think it's understood what I think of your guides, I can only wait that more the better.
That said, I have a vague idea of where the "kuki vs raiden" video will go.
Hello ive been playing Niou since the first banner, this video is really similar to my own experience, just one caveat, i use Barbara and find her a superior option to Kokomi, would you mind convincing me of the opposite?

This is a specific question, I was prepared to get Nilou on my main account both she came home on main and alt account, I play al haithum on alt account too, my dendro and hydro roster are the following can you make 2 teams for me (al haithum, Yao Yao Collei DMC Nahida), (Xingqiu Yelan and Barbara)
I wasn't expecting to win 50/50 but Nilou came home early (within 20 plus wishes) and I am so happy. Usually after reading the kit of my character and watching few videos I know how to build it and the possible teammates but for Nilou I am a little bit confuse, should her teammates build high EM? currently my Nilou is lvl 80/80 (with Key of Khaj-Nisut after losing to it from wanting jade cutter way back her first release). I 36 stars the abyss while using her and I know I can still improve her that is why I am watching now different Nilou videos. Is the Flower of Paradise Lost good artifact for her?

I still remember when her banner had firstly dropped and I was going to skip her because I wasn't going to get my pity high enough for her, on a random second pull I got her with only 10 pity and she's insane with nahida and Lumine/Aether❤

it's viable yes, but you will need to grind out really good artifacts. good luck!

Hey ive been using Nilou, nahida, em ayato and yaoyao, my blooms arent as regular as id like them to be tbh but they still do alot of damage. Idk if i should be using nahida more onfield or not becuase my dendro app dosent seem that great. Is there something im missing here?
Nahida off field cant maintain a dendro aura on enemies on her own so Ayato is probably getting rid of it too quick with his hydro application, you need someone that can apply dendro more quickly while he slashes. Try Collei C2 or Dendro Traveler.
edit: that's why you don't see people playing or recommending Ayato Bloom btw since Nahida is just too good with Nilo. Ayato set up ends up taking Nahida's place in the team (ayato collei nilou yaoyao) or you end up without a healer which is out of the question in bloom teams. That's why Kokomi bloom is way better.
Dendro plus hydro, =2 cores,
Hydro plus dendro = 1 core.
Better on field nahida and offield the hydro in ur case

Only hydro and dendro characters work in nilou teams, using kuki will disable nilou's passive, use Barbara instead of kuki if you need a healer.
Who should use flower of paradise lost artifact set in a nilou team or is it even worth it?
worth it depends on if you have the resin to want to maximise your reaction damage. and kokomi, barbara, xingqiu, ayato, yelan whoever, even nilou can all use it

my team is like this nilou , kokomi, nahida and haythem but i can't seem to get the bountiful cores with this team but when i use traveler's ultimate i can get it but he is not my fav and i don't main him. Is haythem a bad character for a nilou team and also him and nahida cannot trigger the big green aoa bountiful cores. please help.
By how much percentage is Team Nilou stronger with C2 Nahida compared to C0 Nahida? Does C2 Nahida is a good pull
does everyone in a bloom team need to be leveld to 90 like i have a team of nilou 90 yelan 87 barbara 70 and nahida 90 sometimes the blooms hit 30k when nahida procs but then it does a lot less when i set it up nahida to be the driver bloom confuses me
not necessarily need, but extremely recommended. just keep grinding hero's wits and ascension mats!

Late comment but, I don't have kokomi, I use nilou, nahida, xingqui and barbruh. Should I build xingqui with em artifacts or normal? He seems to be triggering a good amount of blooms compared to nahida
both em and crit. whatever your best artifacts are, but unlikely to have good substats with em main stat pieces. you can also use an em weapon

Currently my comp is:
1. Nilou C0 - HP+20% artifacts
2. Nahida C0 - Deepwood
3. Kokomi C0 - ??
4. Yaoyao C1 - Gilded dreams
What should I put to kokomi? Keep her Ocean Hued HP HP HP?

You have Yaoyao so i’d say just use triple EM. You go for some HP to help your survivability, you can try Hp-EM-EM or something.
Em kokomi would be good driver, I also use em barbara for the driver and healer.
What artifacts would you put on your team to maximize the bloom dmg?
20% HP+20% HP arti 2pieces on Nilou, Deepwood on at least one Dendro character, Flower of Paradise lost on the second Hydro, and another Flower set or Instructor on the 4th unit depending on team.

As for me, I always use her infusion skill for fast passive activation, then use Barbara EM to trigger all the blooms. (Kokomi would be better but I don wanna change her healer build; also I need Barb revive in case)
Yes, if you fully rely on EM of your second hydro, then it's better to do E, NA, NA, NA to activate the passive,but without an aura. In that case you will have only 1 source of hydro, the right one.
In teams where a mess happens and everyone triggers reactions, easier to use aura to apply more statuses.
Still worth using the skill aura even without key or any em built bc quantity > quality for Nilou bloom according to Jamie in another comment on this video.
@@waiyisit I tested a lot and should say that it depends on how much hydro you already have. For example Barbara doesn't have much hydro and her aura works similar to Nilou's, so you can use them both to help do more reactions. But in case of Kokomi on field, she applies much more hydro and you don't even need to be close to your enemies to make a reaction. This doesn't mean that you cannot use Nilou's aura, but more that you don't have to. I've checked different team comps in 12-1 in different halfs and they closed their half relatively at the same time. Also, surprisingly even dps build for Kokomi with only 100 base EM + buffs did as much well as 1k EM + buffs. Maybe because my dps Kokomi can do 13k from normal attack 😅
Also, teams like Nilou, Nahida, YaoYao, Yelan doesn't need an EM build if it kills your dps damage. Here, only my Nahida has 700 EM and this team still can trigger 75k from bloom. Mainly it's because of general EM buffs for everyone (like Elegy, Nilou's passive, dendro resonance, etc.) and not someone specifically. In this example, you don't need to go for full EM Yelan, because she wants to have crits and deal her own damage.
Got her C0 this banner and with c0 nahida and iron sting already deleted abyss 12 second half. This team feels like "random bullshit go" but everything dies anyway.
Sorry for being off-topic, but what are recommended substats for Yao Yao and Candace in Nilou bloom team?
U can go full em Yao Yao and for the substat focusing to get em on flower and feather, as for the rest of artis u focus on er. Candace can hold 4pc instructor to boost bloom even further.

I just got the Key of Khaj nisut and im pulling for nilou right now. One question tho. Does nilou's bountiful cores not work at all if there is any other character in the party except for Hydro and Dendro? Because nilou may have one downside to her skill (since her skill is mainly used for bountiful cores). Say one set of enemies die due to the bountiful blooms but nilou's skill is still active and the second set of enemies spawn on the other side (also take those crossbow guys for example who just walk back when charged) and by the time i reach them my E aura ends. If in this case i had an anemo cc i could simply pull all the enemies together. I used trial nilou in the event and understood maybe this might be a problem. So is it as bad as i think it is or should i go for her.
no, bountiful cores doesn't works with other elements except hydro&dendro. on matter of CC, the problem is more on her teammates because nilou only have 6s downtime on her skill. If you use the kokomi/barbara, nahida variant they can hit from far away so CC doesn't really matter that much but on yaoyao variant without nahida this will be limited with energy problem and circle impact.

However like i mentioned, even if nahida can hit from far away, nilou's aura covers and area around her and the active character must physically reach the enemies to get bountiful cores right? So in that case should CC be required? Or is it just that nilou's potential might be a bit barred in situations like this?
@@takeoc8078 oh that's what you meant, you see nilou's dance works like Noblese buff so there's no distance limitation, it means as long your kokomi&nahida can hit your enemies(kokomi can hit surprisingly far btw) the B.cores will be created.

Hi can anyone help me with this, i just pulled Nilou and my team is Kokomi, Nahida, Yaoyao and Nilou, lot of the times it happens that hydro overpowers the dendro even with Nahida in this team so no blooms are generated and enemies are under constant hydro aura, what is it that i am doing wrong? I am not using Collei for now because i am still building her and at least in this abyss rotation its easy to die (3.6 Abyss- 12-1).

Yes , although en2e is 4 hit , it only count as 3 because of the 0,8s delay but it is enough for Key passive

I heard that due to kokomi's 2U burst, controlling the bloom ownership becomes hard
kokomi is generally preferred overall but they both have their strengths, you can refer to my guide document to learn more. but that burst thing isn't really anything to worry about

Kokomi imo makes it harder to survive since her burst heals are dependent on auto attacking, rather than a single large heal on burst also she’s relegated to circle impact unlike Barbara. That’s why I generally prefer Barbara over Kokomi in the comp.
@@asassin232 I think Xq is just slightly better since sac sword>sac bow and his orbiting rain swords provide extra hydro app. Maybe if you have elegy yelan I’d better.

Traveler a bit easier to play (wider burst AoE, simpler skill/burst), good for casual clearing. Collei has more flexible Dendro application, better for speedruns.

@@JuanW-jh4gw I'm using Barbara in my Nilou Team. Barbara has ''4pc Ocean Hued Clam'' with Em/EM/EM + Mappa Mare Catalyst. ~750EM (could be more with other EM Catalysts) and her Bloom procs at 33k. This way, you get some Healing Bonus from the Set, which I highly recommend. Also, her Talents are lvl 9/11/11 to get as much heal as possible. Trust me, you'll need it. Sounds like heavy investment? Yes, but it's worth it. Works as well as Kokomi. =)
@@JuanW-jh4gw Nilou, Nahida burst (when Barbara is on-field) and Dendro Resonance already give her some EM (potentially also DMC or Collei with passives/constellations/weapons/artifacts), so it's not *as* relevant to go full EM and you have flexibility to find your sweetspot between EM and healing. For example, you can do something like 4pc Gilded/Paradise Lost with Healing Bonus circlet or 4pc Clam with full EM.
Since i don't have yao yao or kokomi, I'm confused on what to use as healer, I'm currently using Barbara only for healing (i put all my diona's artifact on her sadly due to which Barbara has 0 em) , i do have nahida and I'm running mono hydro bloom team.
Try dendro Mc + nilou + nahida and barbara. And make sure you are using barbara as driver and build as much em as possible
I doubt you survive with full EM Barbara. Maybe try prototype amber, or some Hp main stats artifact.
Mono hydro as in 3 dendro or 3 hydro? Yaoyao is obtainable through a low floor of abyss so she's a free character.

Well you can try nahida collei barbara nilou. Jamie's shown several demonstrations with collei as second dendro. Barbara should be built with as much em as you can manage to stay alive with.
If you want to play triple hydro bloom, you can bring nilou barbara xq/yelan/off field dps nahida and play nahida on field. In this case, barbara not having any em isn't as problematic (lower percentage of bloom ownership compared to the other team), though you still want to get some em if possible. Your only healing option is barbara so use her. This variant works better in mixed single target+aoe fights.

Lacks healing if the hydro isn't Barbara or Kokomi. Other dendro applicators (except Tighnari) is better in Alhaitham's spot.
Is a Nilou with 58k hp, 131 er and 263 em good enough? I only planned on getting Nahida and but I got lucky and also ended up getting Nilou but didn't prep anything for her but I did have some I'd say not that good artifact and raise those artifacts and then used stat calc to get the numbers above. The artifact I used is 2pc millelith and the other 2pc set that gives hp% and her weapon is iron sting and I also factored in the 25% hp bonus from hydro resonance to get the numbers above. Will be using Nilou with: Yelan(standard build) and then yaoyao and dmc that aren't built yet since I don't know what stat I should go for them
you can reach 60k hp with some decent hp rolls and it's plenty. btw did you add her ascension stat too?
Yes it is enough, mine was 55k before the new artifact and she still shreds. I recommend just using Nahida with her but if you really want to use DMC and Yaoyao just focus their ER so they can keep on bursting, then maximise their EM as much as you can. One of them have to use the deepwood set.

I don't have kokomi and at the moment I don't plan to pull for her, does my team lose a lot if I take Barbara?
Not really imo, infact I'm using barbara too or xingqiu. Kokomi is just an addition to your survivability
Barbara and XQ is good against single target and Kokomi is better on multiple mobs, so it's a situational.
What Kokomi provides over Barbara and Xingqiu is her consistent AoE hydro app and decent enough healing to be a solo healer. I have played both the Xingqiu and Barbara version; I needed to hug the enemies to apply hydro, which is not a problem with Kokomi. I also basically was required to run Yaoyao to not die

In a Nilou/Kokomi/Nahida/Collei team with Kokomi as the on-fielder, I know I should build Kokomi with EM/EM/EM and Nilou with HP/HP/HP. Should I build Nahida and Collei with triple EM or EM/DMG/Crit?
I would recommend trying EM/Crit/DMG for Nahida especially if you have her signature. For Collei I would use Elegy/Sac bow & 4pc Instructor/Emblem with Crit/ER
Nahida generally likes EM, Crit and Dmg Bonus the same, so you usually want to give her the pieces with the best substats. In Nilou bloom, EM is a bit better because she can proc some blooms (not a lot, but still some), so I'd say to use your EM pieces even if they are a little bit worse than Crit and Dmg but there's not a clear cut, there are too many variables... honestly it's not a big deal, the team rocks anyway. Collei doesn't matter, especially with Nahida she is not even gonna trigger bloom if not barely every now and then (again, it depends, too many variables). With high investment it's worth to build her for dps, but with low investment you can give her a bunch of EM... honestly this one really doesn't matter that much, we are literally minmaxing at this point, just give Nilou as much HP as possible up to 74k, build properly your Kokomi, give decent pieces and Deepwood to Nahida and everything else doesn't really matter unless you are speedrunning.
I get the best results with EM/EM/crit.
She's the only char that hasn't died ever since I got her.

I think it was he who did the example of how to group the triple kenki picking the one that stands and the others move torwards you. it'll mostly be observing enemy Ai, which move to you, which don't. As there is viridescent hunt, but no real users(yet?)
