      Learning English is 50x times simpler than learning ANY other language in this world. Considering how complex Japanese is, it's fucking stupid to see 20+-year-old adults be this bad.

    • @Alfa._
      @Alfa._ 4 роки тому +17

      @@jamesjason8471 i am not a native english speaker. I learned English as my 2nd language. And I can say safely that learning English is hard. I'm glad that I made this far, even though it needs a ton of improvement.
      What are you trying to prove? Learning English is HARD for newcomers, since English is so fucking inconsistent and it's not like "50 TiMeS EaSiEr tHaN EvErY LaNgUaGe iN tHe WoRlD". I started learning English at 2nd grade, now I'm in my early 20s and I think my English is still bad.
      I'm learning Japanese now as my 3rd language and I can safely say that learning English as a Japanese is even harder. Sure their writing system is like hell when compared with English, but when you can read those kanji, you'll realize that their writing system is far more effective and consistent compared to English. Speaking English is a hell too for them Japanese, since their mother tongue is holding them back AND Japanese's word pronunciation is very consistent compared to the behemoth of inconsistency of English's pronunciation. Like hell even most of their teachers are having a hard time teaching English to their student
      In conclusion, HOW IGNORANT COULD YOU BE?. I bet you never bothered to take a look at learning other languages besides English. Boi there's so many languages in the world that is very simple to learn that made learning English is such a nightmare. But who am I to judge, you probably have done some "research" in languages. Eh probably not, judging by your ignorance.

      If your English is good enough, you don't listen to the exact words people say, you often piece together possible words in that context. If every time a person with a different accent speaks to you and you listen to the exact words you will always hear something wrong. Try Scottish, Irish, or even Singaporean English and you will realize that trying to catch every single word will make conversation impossible

    The way that English voice speaks the sentence is weird. I am a native English speaker and I can't understand the 3rd sentence after 2 times.

    To be fair, that sushi sentence was hard to understand. The "-ward" in looking forward was so slurred, I only heard looking for lmao. Then they repeated it the second time and I only got it then. 🙄

    English speaker: "It's my first time to travel to Japan!"
    What I, a native english speaker heard: "It's my first time to travel to Ja pen!"
    English Speaker: "Could you be my friend?"
    Me: "Cudubemifrnd?" ehhh? Too fast! I think I heard "Could" and "friend"...
