I've played around a bit with fresnel lights/lenses. I love the strong sharp shadows they produce. You can actually buy a cheap plastic fresnel bowens adapter on those chinese sites. And they work pretty good for the budget. If you could attatch that to your lens light it may produce an interesting result.
I discovered this function when I brought a flashlight from my smartphone to the lens. only I used an old spotlight, the beam it emits is visible from the plane 👽
You could attach a M42 mount to a powerful soviet military torch , that would look cool. OR buy one of the soviet box torches and rehouse it with your led.
Are you thinking a polariser on the lens on the video light? Something I do want to do is make a filter with diffuser paper to allow for a softer light.
