Hopefully in future videos will be addressing the maintenance costs, specifically the replacement cost of the CDC shocks. They sound expensive... Regardless it's very refreshing to see a car at this price bracket being equipped with such a system. I think the next one to have it is the Ranger Raptor? (in terms of ride adjustability, please correct me if I'm wrong). What a time to be a car buyer now, so many options! I'm personally looking to buy another car (D-seg preferably) to alternate between my L33 Teana. Another great video, Aiman & MM crew. Looking forward to the more detailed review of the C9.
Dimensionally they may seem similar, but the Omoda C9 feels like the larger car. Especially inside, where it feels wider & longer both in the front & the rear.
Due to the inability to tilt the seat, the drivers seat had to be adjusted higher to provide under thigh support. This is common with Chinese vehicles, as well as with PROTON.
You mean the J8? When we spoke earlier today with Emily Lek, she made it very clear that the Jaecoo J8 is still planned for our market as "the Jaecoo and Omoda brands are positioned differently and appeal to different buyer profiles."
We were not able to test them during our drive due to the limited time, but the more basic 8-speaker setups in other Chery/Jaecoo models have proven to be pretty good. The C9 therefore can only be better.
Believe it or not, specifications vary from market to market. So what they offer there may be more in line with South African market expectations. The SA market vehicles get a 9-speaker audio system, whereas MY market cars get 14-speakers as standard. They are also driven by a higher-power amplifier with "improved audio logic performance" from the headunit, which speaks to a more upmarket audio experience for the flagship Omoda product in our market.
2024 : so many china cars entered Malaysia. 2025 : we will wait and see the juice. 2026 : verdict on China's car......then only I consider buying a China made car.
Actually nowadays not relevant when comes about resale value as japanese cars resale value aren’t good than before. So what’s difference between Chinese cars and japanese cars
I am a simple person. When I see Aiman, I click.
Same
Kita geng
Man simply has top notch excellence english here . Love it subscribed!
This is by far the best car review show on youtube
I'm here to improve my speaking. learning about new car is a bonus
another fantastic video aiman !
always love with Aiman ways of explaining the car features
An excellent review. Was equally impressed by his superb communicative skills as I was his review

Short, clear and concise just like the drive! TQ.

Thank your for taking the deviated route 😂
We braved getting told off, for our viewers!
Waze should use your voice ..
Good review 👍👍
Looking forward to the full review of this C9
Great review
Superb excellent explaination being used
Been looking forward for no butter review from aiman
Denng , you put ' pseudo-luxury ' for Harrier😂
Smooth operator
Is it the mechanical twin of Jaecoo J8 bro?
is it all around bigger than tiggo 8?
Dimensionally they may seem similar, but the Omoda C9 feels like the larger car. Especially inside, where it feels wider & longer both in the front & the rear.
Is it the camera angle or you seem to be sitting very high and the steering is @ low position.. Like a van almost
Due to the inability to tilt the seat, the drivers seat had to be adjusted higher to provide under thigh support. This is common with Chinese vehicles, as well as with PROTON.
So c9 or harrier better?
Better in terms of?
Tech?
Suspension?
Handle?
Comfort?
Resale value?
Muka value?
Indeed love the matte grey color, do it need extra money?
Extra rm3000
May I know is the rear seat has enough thigh support? It seems the floor is quite high
No such issue. Rear seats also have electric recline for added comfort.
The offered luxury materials by C9 seems would be double up the selling price if the badge changed to stinky H.😊
Still with all the cheap plastic, steering rack issues and poor sound insulation there is still hardcore supporter of H that doesn't mind buying it.😂
Is the Jaecoo J9 still expected to launch? Seems like a similar price point and segment
You mean the J8?
When we spoke earlier today with Emily Lek, she made it very clear that the Jaecoo J8 is still planned for our market as "the Jaecoo and Omoda brands are positioned differently and appeal to different buyer profiles."
@@MalaysianMotoringwow. Good to know. Now what is left is for me to work harder and make sure I can afford either one. 😂😂
What do you mean no angle adjustment?
Fuel guzzling?
How about the NVH? Is the cabin quiet like let say RX350? Does C9 comes with double glaze windows?
We covered this in the video.
redline reviews malaysia hehe
How is the sound quality? I see it has Sony speakers.. is it up there with Harmon/Kardon, B&O etc?
We were not able to test them during our drive due to the limited time, but the more basic 8-speaker setups in other Chery/Jaecoo models have proven to be pretty good. The C9 therefore can only be better.
Tested, it's good, but not B&O Good. Tq Aiman!
No...
Basic SONY sound, I test drove the vehicle.
...from South Africa

@MalaysianMotoring you're correct 😊
even if i want to buy this car, i will wait for at least another 2 years. and buy the 2nd hand one, for sure the price will drop almost 50% at least
In another 2 years there will be a lot of new model cars. U can keep on waiting. Or u can start searching for 2022 cars now.
So, to buy or not to buy?
Wait for launch, test drive first.
Did the breaks feel spongy? Heard its common on chery vehicles
Nope. The brakes can also be tailored, with three selectable 'brake modes' to choose from.
surely price between 179,800 and 189,800 for 2WD and 4WD
Then 10k discount few months after launch
CX-8 awd does not come with 7 seat version. Normally the third row is only used occasionally. So without 7 seats its more like a 4 seater SUV.

2026 : verdict on China's car......then only I consider buying a China made car.
You are one of the Smart Malaysians like me although their designs and fully loaded features are quite tempting.
Yesss
Unlike eMas7, this one has TPMS.
His English is better than his car review 😂
Bruv! 😢😂
the ride seemed harsh from the video.
I love the voice not the car🤣🤣🤣🤣
The only thing stopping me from buying this is the potentially massive depreciation these Chinese cars have.
Actually nowadays not relevant when comes about resale value as japanese cars resale value aren’t good than before. So what’s difference between Chinese cars and japanese cars
My 8 years Mazda suffered 70% lost..unless you buy a MYVi..that's the only car with decent resale value .
@TeresMouse not really. Harriers really retains their value well.
It’s Chinese made. So…
Sayang duduk malaysia review dekat malaysia tapi bahasa asing😮💨
Sayang belajar lama-lama tapi tak reti guna UA-cam cari content dari channel lain.

Low price. Low quality
