When I first got into 1/6 scale there was 2 pack Power team figures available at KBtoys outlet stores. Those 2 packs came with 1 male and 1 female figure
Great topic. As for stores while most of my Power Team figures were from Big Lots. I also got them from Kay-bee toys, Small Blue Planet and Marsh supermarkets. Payless supermarket had them as well. Power Team were cheap enough I could army build fire teams. I only seen the Frontline Defenders at Kay-bee toys. I wish I had that while line. Kay-bees also had carded accessories sets namely equipment & weapons. Kay-bess also carried the deluxe sets. While M&C Toys did make single boxed female figures, they were also avaliable in two pack called Tag Team with a male figure dressed similar such as Police or Firefighter. They also had/have a number of vehicles and playsets in the 1/6 scale.
I completely forgot to mention Kay Bee! Yes, they’re great for filling in the ranks! We will actually discuss the Tag Team sets in an upcoming video. Those were some of the best sets Power Team came out with!
I found 7 boxed World Peacekeepers at a Big Lots near me back around 2012 for $10 each. I display them alongside my Joes, they're actually pretty awesome!
What's great is we now offer over 20 different World Peacekeepers Head Sculpts now as well - www.gijoeelite.com/search.asp?keyword=gimct+sculpt&search=
Awesome Job Guy's!! Chuck you didn't mention the Height difference between the WP bodies and the Hasblow figures, there was some conversation in a few groups about that. There was some fixes for them also that included some lower leg surgeries to bring them down to a height that would allow uniforms to fit better. Again Awesome job you two!!
You’re right! They are taller! They are the same height as Ken dolls, so Ken clothing fits them very well. The length of the latest body legs are where they get the tallness. It’s not very noticeable, but their arms could be a little longer as well.
Great video! I have a bunch of these M&C fgures in my collection including at least two of the African American super-articulated figures, as well as a female African American figure. So glad Cotswold is carrying a bunch of this stuff now. My local Big Lots stopped carrying them years ago and then recently closed down the store completely. Sadly the company went bankrupt and cloded hundreds of stores. No more Power Team at Big Lots.🙁
The African American ones are awesome (if you can find them!) Big lots used to be Power Team Central, but sadly they turned more and more into a mainstream store. The new Big Lots is Ollie’s!
