As a PvE player mostly this will also be good because the super aggressive people will be joining matchmaking instead of hunting me.
That is what I am hoping for too, while I think pvp in open waters will definitely stay, I think it should definitely take some of that heat off of the average pve player

They straight up said "learn to aim your cannons or else you cant play" and i love it

The only thing i dislike is that the phantom weapons and flameheart clothes are in the plunderpass
Not crazy about the phantom weapons personally, hopefully other weapon cosmetics are linked to progression in the new factions

@@treeeyed8578 No, not the plunder pass. They mean the free pass. They're complaining that the hat and phantom weapons are time-limited.
I think the best thing I like about this update is that people like me, who solo sloop and hate pvp, can just stay out of this and do my own thing. All the hardcore pvper's will be busy with this matchmaking combat and leave me alone. It's perfect.
It will likely take a LOT of the heat off of you, but with that being said, people can and will still attack
@@thatweirdgamingcrew And that's fine, I can deal with that. Thankfully my bad PVP experiences are few because I am EXTREMELY vigilant out in the ocean and the barest hint of a mast in the distance and I'm usually going in a completely opposite direction and back at my map table finding which different outpost I'm heading to instead.
