Sorry, love your work and really pleased you're teaming up with Jason on the Hangouts thing. You two are my most frequently visited you tube artists by a long shot. Thanks for sharing so much.
You never cease to amaze me Lisa! Beautiful work. And thanks for pointing out that your background took time. I think that is always a factor for new artists to understand that you didn't sit down and do this whole piece in a couple of hours.
Incredible!! I am not an artist AT ALL but I really enjoy watching others create masterpieces and I've been watching your videos for some time. It's so peaceful and relaxing. You're truly amazing!
Always love when you add the white highlights, makes a huge difference! Beautiful :D

This is so amazingly beautiful! Definitely one of my favorite! Those colors and beautiful blurry background. I really need to get an air brush to myself.
Hi Lisa, love this video! I am brand new to painting and using colored pencils. I love the way you explain things and I am able to follow. Please keep these up b/c I am inspired by them but mostly by you. Thank you for posting!
I love the way you blend the pencils into the background to create a seamless cohesion of butterfly, flowers and background. I use a lot of coloured pencil with watercolours, inks and markers. I also love my oils and acrylics too. Have you used any of the newer oil paints? The ones that you can mix with water? I was just wondering as I'm always interested in trying out new products. At the moment I'm in love with my Inktense by Derwent. I actually bought them thinking they were watercolours. Till I got them home and put my reading glasses on! Lol.. Thanks for another great tutorial. Bevanna UK x
Lisa, could you please comment a little on what kind of paint you're using in your airbrush? I'd like to try using an airbrush too, but have no clue where to start when it comes to the paints to use. Did you use any kind of special airbrush paints here?
+Lachri Fine Art Thank you! Does createx combine well with oil or gouache paints? I like how you have used it for background like this, but intend to use it with canvas oil painting too.
Wow, art ala carte just posted a video yesterday that was also sponsored by GraphicStock, an she also gave out a link for a 7 day free trial! What a coincidence!
Is there someplace in America that we can get the touch up texture and colored pencil titanium white? Is there something comparable, because I see that none of their products are available for international shipping.
Hi Lisa, I had a question about oil painting. I've been hearing about this rule called the "Fat Over Lean" rule where you add more solvent (paint thinner/odorless mineral spirits) to your first layer and then you continue to add more oil mediums to all of your following layers. I wanted to know if you've heard of this rule and if you use this rule when you paint. Your butterfly looks beautiful, by the way.
Does the texture of the watercolor paper show through when you use the coloured pencils? I've found that this is the problem when I use coloured pencils over a watercolour painting base. is it because I don't push on it hard enough?
how do you prevent harsh lines from where you mask the paper and airbrush? i feel like each time i try this technique i get an ugly transition, like the "cut and paste" you refer to and cant get a nice seamless transition! tutorial please ! :)
This might sound like a stupid question.......but how do you keep track of which pencil is which shade while you are drawing? For example if you are using 6 shades of red, they don't usually look physically how they turn out when put on paper. And if you are only working on one part of a pic at a time, then move over to another how do you remember which is the red you used for the shadow, which one for the the outline, etc etc. Do you lay out in order on a desk from darkest to lightest? You just remember by looking at them? Hold them in a certain order. This is kind of overwhelming to me for some reason....maybe cause I don't want to mess up a picture. I find myself testing them on scrap paper a million times to make sure I use the right one and this is annoying as heck since the pencil crayons I use aren't that great at keeping a point and it just means more sharpening.
I usually write down the number of the pencil that way I know what color is which while I'm working on a piece. But, I also just have the shade memorized to so that helps

This has saved my pencils because I just recreate a point without eating more of the pencil for as long as I can
I love painting white things because you can add so much color to them.

OMG it looks just like the real one
I love the background. When you paint with an airbrush do you just use regular acrylic paints?
Beautiful!
Could you tell me what all I'd need to start with learning to airbrush? What all supplies would I need?
Amazing
Hi Lisa. I can't seem to find the short Q&A in which you talk about over painting again?
Very nice. Thank you.
Amazing! Nothing more to say...

I use createx thinned with water.
+Lachri Fine Art Thank you! Does createx combine well with oil or gouache paints? I like how you have used it for background like this, but intend to use it with canvas oil painting too.
It is hard to believe that you can put so many different colors in such tiny areas....
Hi Lisa! My husband and I absolutely LOVE your work! Just a quck question.... do you recommend using a colour checker?
Wow, art ala carte just posted a video yesterday that was also sponsored by GraphicStock, an she also gave out a link for a 7 day free trial! What a coincidence!
Also, your work still blows me away even though I have been watching your videos for a while. Great job!
Thanks :)
Muito Obrigado pelo vídeo!
Would it be possible to use oil paint instead of the touch up texture? Thanks :D
love it. when i first glanced at the thumbnail thought i saw a human face and thought it was a fairy/butterfly
Very very Nice !..

You've probably used Cold Pressed watercolor paper. I'm using Hot Pressed which is smooth :)

This is what art is to me. I simply don't understand those modern art pieces.
This is so gorgeous! Did you make that circle template, or did you buy it?
I bought it :)
can you please advise where to get the airbrush from and paint please?
amazing video! :) can anyone tell me how she managed to keep the butterfly protected from the airbrush?
Masking fluid and frisket :) ua-cam.com/video/vviGcgPSxA0/v-deo.html
Lachri Fine Art thank you soooo much!! for replying!!!! i love your videos and your tutorials!! thank you
Can you make the paint background without airbrush? and how?

+Nathan Hayes I tend to hold them in a specific order and when taking breaks I put rubber bands so I know what shades I use.
