Every time I see your face I think of the character Hughie from The Boys haha. The resemblance is uncanny. Gotta say your technic reviews are so soothing and enjoyable to watch, far more entertaining than those highly technical youtubers out there.
@kiendanganh3176 Thank you so much for the kind words!! I appreciate it. I haven't seen the boys so I will have to check it out (but I've heard it's quite good!)
I built the GULY Le Mans 24Hr race car 1:8 scale and motorized it and added lights. I ended up with some strange green residue on my hands when I was done with assembly. It took me more than a week to build that car. It took 5 seconds for me to lose one of the loose white sticks in the front for headlights. I also HATE IT when parts just fall off. I fixed issues with this build, and I see that you found a problem with the car in this video. I will keep that in mind. I own this kit, not assembled yet.
Very interesting! Yes, it seems the residue problem still exists (price we pay to get a cool colour, I suppose). Fortunately, there were VERY few parts which fell off, really just the detailing on the front bumper, which was easy to fix. The major pain points for me were definitely the seats. Best of luck!
Always right on time: just got home from the office and a new CleverPig video. Great review as per usual, no fan of RC features here as well. The shaping and detailing looks quite good for the bucks, will check out Barweer!
@Bricked.Supply Glad you enjoyed the video, my friend!! Yeah RC functions might be better suited to a smaller set, or some construction vehicles. Cheers, mate!
Same thing happened to me! I ordered and also received 2 bags of bag 6&7.. weird how they made the same mistake with mine and yours. Now I can't build and I'll have to wait.
@@onecleverpig you mentioned in your video they got replacements p quick.. ive requested missing pieces from the GULY mission X close to 2 weeks ago and have not received anything still.. did they ever send any communication that your replacements were on the way? maybe provided trackers?
Any chance of getting a close up photo ( or video ) of how you set up the door linkages on your model? I have built this a while ago and I have had issues with the pistons that open the doors, they just don't seem right ( I've checked the manual but can't see anything wrong ) but I noticed in the video here when the doors open, your setup seems just slightly different, but I can't quite see....any closer images would be appreciated if you still have the car setup
@adammasc8259 Funny you say that, I had an issue with my doors too. It didn't happen while I was filming, but afterward, I noticed the motors were able to move pistons/actuators too far and they disconnected themselves. I haven't rebuilt it to static mode yet to discover if it's a design flaw or not
I noticed when the doors open the seats seem to slide forward, I would think the seats should slide back when the doors open to mimic real life cars that have "easy entry" features.
@arcticgenes Ooh that would be genius!! I remember something similar; my mom's old Ford escort would move the shoulder belt when the doors opened and closed. I never noticed the seats moving with the doors, you must have a very keen eye.
Call me crazy, but I really like the motor feature haha! It seems like a pain, but looks cool when it’s in action lol I really dig the color of this set. That blue/green color is SWEET! The residue on the fingers is a bit concerning though 😂😂 awesome build and video! 😁
Having now built 6 Guly 1/8 cars, i feel slightly qualified to say: they ROCK!!! This one is now no.2 on my production line. The crazy looking 918 with the red bonnet scanner is next, after the yellow Kervtte (seriously?!?). My Alfa Clone-mero is the static version, coz i value my sanity... & I'll be referring to your build if/when i get stuck. So, what's next build from you?
@deanlynch2456 That's awesome!! You made a good choice getting the static version 😂😂 the yellow vette also looks awesome!! Next for me is the CaDA AMG One, but it won't be for a little while, hopefully by the end of the year!. Thank you for providing your perspective on this one!
How the heck do 2 bags not get included?? QC is lacking but shout out to customer service. Them doors though...great looking set! Also, 10/10 meme usage. 99!
@my2credits 99! Yeah I'm not sure what happened with the bags 🤔 and since they don't ship in the original box it's impossible to know where it went wrong

Did you make a buid mistake in the front? The bonnet is way lower and there's not such a big gap above the front tire in the product images vs. your build.
@@zonoskar yes I think I did make a mistake, I'm currently trying to see where I went wrong. I think I didn't connect the suspension lowering system in the front as it seems to only work in the rear, hence the weird gap

At first sight this thing looks cool, the colour, the shiny parts, the shapes... but I'm not a fan of those big head lights, nor those stickers... why bother with Aerfa Luomiou stickers? LOL. As for the RC parts, it's interesting to put together and adds to the technic experience, but most of us would never use them.
@synyster7785 great points you bring up! I don't mind the headlights, but I can see the concerns. Tbh, I skipped most of the stickers LOL just added the engine detail ones and the brake calipers.
