It's been awhile since I've been on here. I lost a good friend. It hurts. Thank you for playing my man. I love your reactions. You are my favorite. Always Elvis
And he was nervous too with over a Billion watching this on satellite stream.
Elvis looked like a million dollars, making that entrance! Wow, a true superstar, yet always humble and respectful. That's our man, Elvis. 🥇🎶🎙🎧⚡
The best way to open a concert. The 2001 theme, Elvis hits the stage and C. C. Rider. Believe it or not he opened about 98% like this...1100+ concerts
He opened every show with the 2001 A Space Odyssey theme and See See Rider or That's All Right.
Oh man, i remember watching this as a kid. I was aware of Elvis, seen some movies, heard some music. Was a casual fan. When Elvis stepped out on stage I was blown away at how good he looked. I remember thinking, has a guy in his mid to late thirties ever looked this good? Sadly, I thought he'd be around for decades to come.
I worked at the front guard gate with Elvis’ Uncle Vester. It was so sad after Elvis died, knowing he would never come through those gates again. It was just not the same anymore, so I left in March 1978. Thanks for keeping Elvis’ memory alive. Michael Sellers in Virginia
What awesome memories you must have. 💕👌🕺
Elvis loved to use this song to open a lot (most?) of his live shows. Just the twinkle in his eyes shows how much he enjoyed it. I am always amazed at the difference in his appearance here and the 68 Comeback Special just 5 years earlier. He'd gone on a crash diet before this show to lose 25 pounds and it shows in his face. He still looks AMAZING, but his health issues were starting to take a toll. Only four years later, he'd be gone. I love watching both specials over and over, but, in the back of my mind, knowing what's coming still has the power to make me feel like I've been kicked in the chest. I still shed tears over it all these years later. Sorry to be such a downer after a great reaction. Love all of youz guyz. KP
Picture of the scene the room is dark. Then 2001 A Space Odyssey. Then the crash of drums as we heard here. Out come Elvis sparkling in diamonds wearing a Cape. WOW!!!
Chills and goosebumps. 👌💕🕺
Great reaction. Hard to believe this show was 50 years ago. Absolutely amazing 💙
Anytime I watch this I just love it. I’ve seen it a few times throughout the years and I will never think anything negative or in anyway think of anything sad when it comes to this performance I will always think of the way he would want us to think which is his music. It doesn’t matter anything else, including what happened before or what happens after all that matters is this beautiful song, and this concert was amazing.
He always was amazing
This song is definitely a fun song to hear
*THAT IS JAMES BURTON ON HIS FENDER TELECASTER* - Funny Story - James in an interview SAID He was not sure if Elvis would like his "PINK" Telecaster --- But HE LOVED IT!!!! MY DADDY HAD A 63 FENDER ELECTRIC JAZZMASTER ( SUNBURST ) HE LOVED THAT GUITAR REST IN PEACE DADDY I LOVE & MISS YOU SO SO MUCH!!!!!
Elvis's band was on fire, they were some of the best musicians you could ever find! I love how Elvis enjoyed the music and the musicians and when he had his guitar out there, he knew he can't compete with them, he's just having fun with them... got to love Elvis, he was so real and unpretentious. He loved to entertain, to connect and have fun❤ that's what made him so relatable. His ability to have fun, to enjoy the audience and to be himself.❤
Fantastik
Great request Jeremiah.....he looks like royalty in his blinged out suit with the eagle on the back and also on the back of his cape.
Thank you Ray for reacting to this video. He opened most of his concerts with this song.
Ronnie Tutt on drums! A drum god that watched Elvis every move and accented it!!!
Phenomenal drummer, what a rapport he had with that whole rhythm section 🔥🔥
We love you to brother thank you for making this world a better place with our dear Elvis and your fantastic reactions and your personality 🙂
Opening to Aloha from Hawaii concert... Elvis always opened to this song
You need to listen to the whole opening of the show...with the Also Sprach Zarathustra intro....goes into Ronnie Tutt's awesome beats ❤
This was so high energy e lvis was so nervous for this live first satellite world wide but as always once he got on stage he delivered 💯 % 😊thank you Ray ❤😊
Guitarist James Burton had to be one of the best in the world. He is still alive and has done interviews on his love and devotion to Elvis. He also played with many famous artists after Elvis died. One I remember is Ricky Nelson. Anyway he and Elvis gave everything to the performance. Remember over a billion people watched this special on TV from a world satellite special production. I watched in real time from my home in Virginia Beach with my young daughter who is now 54. Ha time marches on, thanks Ray. Great reaction.
I was present in front of the TV when Aloha from Hawaï 1973 was transmitted by satellites. It was the 1st time I saw Elvis Presley. I was 9 years old. ❤❤
Please react to Elvis introducing the members of his band. He did that during every show, including this “Aloha” show.
Opening song for most '70's concerts.
You hear it, you know it, you can’t deny the King is entering 🔥. And the explosion when the people see him is one of my favorite sounds I have every heard.
When you think you have seen everything then again and again he continues to amaze you.
I as someone who has been listening to him for almost 50 years find that so incredible that others are experiencing this again is not normal.
But he is the greatest artist ever for a reason.
It's funny you say that, I grew up with Elvis playing a lot at home. I was 1 year old when he died so I feel now (watching other's reactions) that I was very spoilt and thought this was normal. Now when I think about it , nobody does this still. Not even MJ had this pure power and talent about him. As soon as Elvis stepped out with his fine figure and vocal powerhouse he took you by the scruff and didn't let go. What a stunning man 🔥
I think this is the opening song from Aloha from Hawaii, can you imagine how nervous Elvis must’ve been doing this live to the world. Thanks Ray. Cheers from Oz.
Love it
The G.O.A.T.Was 🔥Thank alot Ray,for always your beautiful reaction to Elvis,God, bless you,and your family 👪 ☝👍👊👌✌🥰🌹🕺🎸🎤🇵🇷🇺🇲❤🙏
Elvis was FIRE!
Elvis the giant
I'm just my Mama's child born and raised on Elvis.. he never disapoints .. Its the King
Tell your mama that my mama said she raised you right.
Need to see Hampton Roads See See. The flash bulbs going off. So blinding for a sec, Elvis doesn't know where the band is lol.
Great reaction Ray! But they always are! Love watching you react to Elvis! Take care Ray, Stacy & family. Hugs, prayers sent to you! Have a great weekend ! Vibe Gang shout out to all . Hope you all have a safe blessed weekend too! Take care, hugs, prayers, blessings sent to all! Great song choice Jeremiah! ❤️😍👑❤️
I have been an Elvis Fan all my life, but you have pointed out something so interesting about this great Man's music and how he had the drums played at the outset of his intro. I had never thought of the fact that it does sound like the drum sounds native Americans would use the drums in their native style. Wow great point.
That intro tune screams one thing only - ELVIS!!!
So happy to see you reacting to this one. Now please do Milton Berle full sketch including the infamous Hound Dog performance. You will go bananas over it, I promise.
That guitar is james burton one of the best in the business ..still alive and still playing! Look him up..does alot if tje new concerts with elvis shown on screen and the old members of his band tcb still performing g
Space odyssey leading into cc rider the greatest start to any show ever!
Ray, I was wondering when you'd catch jis stance how he stands when he's getting ready to hit those big notes in his songs! That's when he's going to let loose with a powerful strong part of the song!🙏 you're feeling better and saying prayers gor your health. You're amazing with all you and your family has been dealing!
James Burton known as Mister Telecaster on guitar. He also came up with the idea of different gauge guitar strings
Faster the better is what he liked
Ray~there's an even higher energy version of this & the video is split-screen, showing The Sweet Inspirations along with Elvis. It also shows Elvis in the wings & then his entrance onstage.
It's from the "Elvis On Tour" movie, showing how they always kicked off the show.
The band & backup singers took great delight in hyping up the audience & were obviously enjoying themselves.
Of course we were already super hyped just waiting for it to start. Those opening notes of "2001 A Space Odyssey" & then "See See Rider" sent everyone into orbit!🚀🛸💫
I hope you eventually react to it. It's the same song but with more to see of what his concerts were like on tour.
💙💫💙💫💙💫💙💫💙💫💙💫💙💫💙
I
Yes mam you are right, the full opening is truly Grande.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I just watched the one you suggested and it is so crazy good!! Loved it!! Thank you for the suggestion 👏🏼
@@janetsanchez-arias
You're most welcome!💙
I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
I'm so lucky to have seen Elvis twice, in 1973 & '74, & that video captures a bit of what it was like at the start of each show. Brings back great memories for me & I love to share that.💫💫
Ohhhhhhhh sí Elvis 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 my god
Man, there just aren't enough reactions to this one on UA-cam. It is absolutely the very most legendary concert opener in rock history. Period. An entrance fit for a King. That's the great James Burton rocking the guitar solo on his pink paisley Telecaster in service to the Crown.
Hello Ray, I hope everything stays good, so take care my friend
I came up with a "fantasy" concert that I could really imagine listening to and it's with these artists: Whitney Houston, Janis Joplin, James Brown, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, would you go see and listen to them if you could ???
Lov😮e this!!! Thank you Ray ❤️
Notice, as the guitar solo begins, Elvis moves over towards James Burton so he would get some spotlight too. He loved his group.....Very thoughtful and generous.....
Ray thank u for ur reactions please listen to king creole scene new orleans I've been waiting to see ur reactions to that song u liked young dreams u will absolutely love new orleans his voice is really showing his different sides of things in this song thanks!

1 Elvis
2 Beatles
3 Michael Jackson
James Burton on guitar
Missed it sorry.
God you're awesome brother
guitar player is james burton
Ray -- great reaction, as usual. I strongly encourage you to listen to LaVern Baker's original version of this same song: This was a tribute to her from Elvis; he loved her music throughout his career, as she loved his, as I understand. (They traded songs at one point -- her "Hey Memphis" was a reply to his "Little Sister"). --Marie
Thanks for all the Elvis videos😊 keep them coming!
Finally he reacted 🎉🎉
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤crazy woww
RELVIS
Loved this! ❤
Ray, or should I say, Relvis, my name is Jelvis ( or Jeff) and I am a 61 year old Elvis fan. I discovered your reaction channel about a week or two ago and I that short time not only have you become my favorite at video reactions, but also my favorite Elvis fan! Your videos brighten my day and leave me laughing. You sir are an artist! Keep up the great work! Thank you, thank you very much!
🔥🔥🔥
You should have included the 2001 theme that comes with this opening. This was their warm up song, the band the back up singers and the orchestra all blowing it out.
Hi there! I usually don't really comment on videos, but there's something I want to say.
You sir are a freaking legend for doing these Elvis reaction videos! Being an Elvis fan for 20 years now, it warms my heart to see new fans joining the family. I've been binge-watching these reaction videos for a few days now and enjoying every single one of them. Please keep up the great work of making us laugh and spreading positivity and good vibes during these mad times we live in.
Greetings from a new subscriber from Croatia (Europe)

Awesome, and Very Well Said!!
✌️
I believe Ronnie Tut
Great reaction Ray! Any idea when you are going to react to my dono request of the hilarious interview of Tom Jones?
I'm so sorry I missed your Ray Rants last night, YT never notified me 😤😭 And I clicked the bell a full year ago when I first subscribed... And yep it's been a year 😃
And how serendipitous that I discovered BOTH Elvis AND you Ray in my birthday month 🎉🎆 (Yesterday was my birthday actually; a nice quiet birthday with family, best kind in my humble opinion)
Anyhoodles, that's James Burton on the guitar, he was known as "The Master Of The Telecaster" and he is also still alive, bless him, spoke well of Elvis, said that he wished he had told Elvis how much of an honor it was not only working with him but getting to know him on a personal level.
And now for an interesting Elvis Extra bit: The Story Of Elvis Presley's 1969 Gibson Dove Acoustic Begins And Ends With Generoisity:
The story of Elvis Presley’s 1969 Gibson Dove acoustic guitar begins and ends with generosity.
In 1969, Vernon Presley went to Guitar City, near Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, to purchase a guitar as a gift for his son. Vernon requested several custom adjustments to personalize the guitar for Elvis, including changing the finish of the guitar to ebony, reported to be chosen to represent Elvis’ recently earned black belt in karate, and the stunning acanthus script inlay of “Elvis Presley” on the fingerboard. The inlay was created by Randy Wood at Gruhn Guitars of Nashville, and the ebony finish was applied at Guitar City. Crowning the guitar and recognizing Elvis’ achievement was the application of the Kenpo Karate decal on the body of the guitar.
The guitar appears to have been completed and gifted to Elvis in 1971. Presley began using the guitar that year and is photographed performing with it often between 1971 and 1973, including, most famously, during Presley’s televised and broadcasted Aloha From Hawaii concert, noted as the first televised program to be beamed around the world by satellite.
The story ends in generosity when, in 1975, at a concert in Asheville, North Carolina, Presley gave the guitar to audience member Mike Harris. It was Presley’s last show of a three-night tour. Presley was in the middle of the song “See See Rider” when Presley gave the guitar to a shocked Harris. Accounts vary as to what Presley said to Harris, from the prophetic “You keep the guitar. I gave it to you for a reason. Someday it will help you out.” To the humble, “Hold on to that. Hopefully, it’ll be valuable one day.” The 21-year-old Harris sat with the guitar for the rest of the concert and then received a police escort out of the building.
If the gift had been from anyone else, one would find the gesture unusual, an uncommon act of kindness. But Presley’s history of gift giving makes this one act in a field of many acts of generosity.
Note: Guitar City, owned by Mike Ladd, was not just "near" Graceland but across the street from Graceland in a shopping center (strip mall). The strip mall is no longer there. This is because Graceland bought up the land before the store's leases expired (Graceland let the stores stay there until their leases naturally expired) and these days there is a complex that is a part of Graceland.
Elvis's 1969 Dove Gibson Acoustic Guitar sold for over $334,000, (US) at auction.
The name of the person who bought has remained unnamed but I do recall reading an article revealing that the person was a cosmetic surgeon who resided in CA. I have no way of verifying if that is 100% true or not. But I do recall reading that so I thought I'd put it out there anyway.
THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. JEREMIAH FOR REQUESTING THIS ONE 💙💐💙💐💙💐💙💐
AND THANK YOU RAY AS ALWAYS FOR YOUR CONTINUED LOVE & APPRECIATION FOR ELVIS, HIS FANS, AND JUST GOOD MUSIC PERIOD 💙🌹💙🌹💙🌹💙🌹 YOU ROCK 🎶🎸🎶🙌💃🙌

@@susyq810 Thank you so very much Miss Susy Q 🌻💖💕 I put out there information that I know is fact & not myth or rumor. My humble attempts at trying to combat the rumors and nonsense out there about Elvis.
He was a flawed human being but I believe he tried to be a good person. And that's all we can ask of anyone.

Vibe, first time commenting. Man, I love all of your reactions!! You crack me up! Funny stuff 😂 Happy Thanksgiving my good man! You must give you 10 stars on all of your reactions! Elvis sings in Spanish! Find the Acapulco movie!!! You are definitely entertaining Lots of blessings!
This when supposedly Elvis wasn't at his most popular yet 1.5 Billion people saw this worldwide!! Vibe at the time there were only 4.5 billion people on Earth!! 1 out of every 3 humans saw this!!! More than the Moon landing more than any event ever. At that time Elvis was as popular as ever but because of Colonel Parker & the main stream media just abandoning him gave the appearance of being less popular. I believe because Elvis sang different Genres Like Gospel & would mix it with opera R&B lullaby country etc. etc. like in American Trilogy all combined it was too much for the Pop oriented World. Radio & Main stream wanted artist to stay in a lane that Elvis refused to stay in. Even artist that say Elvis inspired them to get into rock n roll got turned off but they also didn't realize that artist like Elvis don't put limits on how and what they want to perform.
Don't forget to play the video I sent you in the cash App.
Song is " I'm Leavin" you will get really emotional when you see the video showing him backstage when he's not in the best of health & then afterwards in his limo.
Blessings &: Stay Healthy
I love "I'm Leaving" and the video gets me every time. It has been on my mind to request it, I'm so glad you did! I'll be watching for it.
@@Kathryne0816 you should request it because the more people who do increases the chances.
@@jmartinez9332 I likely will, but I usually make my requests with a dono. I love helping to support Ray's page, so that has become my habit. I also make requests for "not Elvis" songs as I am a kid of the 60s and 70s and want to share some other great artists who were performing at the same time as Elvis. I have also become a huge Home Free fan, and have requested several of their songs. Thanks.
