The only reason i accepted to move 2k miles away to live with my sister was to avoid becoming this guy. I knew living with her would force to become something. A horrible 1.5 years where i had work night shifts for $15 an hour and a day job for $13. All to pay for everything while she attended collage. Why feel sorry for them? I mean they chose to goof off and be non productive. I know people who are like this, they simply don't care or want to try harder. It's not because they can't make it.
yeah there's clearly something deeper going on in a lot of these people than just, "they don't want it better" they're usually very unsatisfied with themselves and desperately try to claw back to things they remember fondly that already happened and won't happen again.
Yeah, I know a few people like this. I'm about to start my senior year in college and looking back on the past 3 years, I've grown and changed so much as a person. But every summer when I go home for a few weeks to help my dad, I inevitably run into people I knew in high school and while some of them have moved on, it's clear that others are still clinging to the "glory days" because they haven't changed a bit since the day we all graduated together.

@@TANK0113 You got that right. I'm 28 and something people don't tell young adults your age is that you have to find something that keeps you grounded. I've been a Millionaire twice now, and I'm most likely about to be broke again for the 3rd time in my life by next March depending on my Put options on SPY. Through the journey I found Jesus, now I'm not going to be some weird pushy Jesus guy, but I'm not going to lie either. Now you may, or may not turn to Jesus, but sooner or later you'll need something to ground you. Irregardless of your belief system you have to make sure it can stand the test of time. This world is too complicated to just keep your head down and work hard. That works for awhile while you're young, but on a Macro scale it's not enough for a large number of the population. Older ppl, or ppl my age always say "work hard" or "don't do drugs". That looks good on paper, but when people start dieing around you, everything breaks down at once, or a nother person rips your heart right out of your chest how do you stay grounded? That's what you have to figure out, and you have to make sure it's healthy too. It can't be something like diet coke or slimjims. For me personally even though I've failed my buisness and had to move in with my dad I've never been happier. I found Jesus and I've stopped Porn, drugs, booze, video games, and probably a few other bad habits. Not saying you need to know what truly grounds you right this second, but MANY of the ppl my age or older aren't grounded bc they picked something unhealthy, and they're in their own self fullifing prophecy of unhappiness, even the " work hard and kept my nose clean" crowed.
@@TANK0113 You said it, and coming from an upcoming senior; I wanna add in the fact that you better pick a career that you are interested in that fits a special place in your heart and make plans of what do you with your schedule and the subjects that you are taking cause high school flies WAY too fast and you better make plans one step ahead so that you'll know what to do. Doing subjects that are hard for you or 'for fun' is a complete waste of time and you should focus on subjects that you wanna succeed at.

All they do is sit at home and goof off. Some of them actually go back to the high school we went to and try to talk to the students there. I feel so sorry for them.
Why feel sorry for them? I mean they chose to goof off and be non productive. I know people who are like this, they simply don't care or want to try harder. It's not because they can't make it.
@Tohafat Being a useless bum is not something that should be supported.
yeah there's clearly something deeper going on in a lot of these people than just, "they don't want it better"
they're usually very unsatisfied with themselves and desperately try to claw back to things they remember fondly that already happened and won't happen again.

Coming from an upcoming sophomore just don't do anything stupid, do your homework, pick your friend group wisely, and stay away from drugs, booze, and vapes
