    **I ended up adjusting how I installed it, I did try to use the bracket vs the rubber part but the bulb wasn't in the lens are far enough for good light. I ended up cutting a slit in the rubber seal and pushed that around the bulb unit back once I placed it in where the bulb goes. See my review for details!

    You can get H1 LED Adapters from eBay, Amazon or AliExpress for a few bucks. They replace the white part so your locking clip has something (the 2 'wings') to clip on to. Just slide the lamp in afterwards, problem solved.

      Can you help me with a link to those adapters?

      I have attempted to put these into a CRV. getting the metal retainers on around the fan unit is damned near impossible and the rubber hoods do not fit right.

    I'm betting those bulbs fell out because you couldn't clip them back in to the headlights like the OEM bulbs

    How is the bulb held in place you just shoved the boot on. Your missing the adapter that holds the bulbs in the headlight.
    You should remove this video as clearly indicates the wrong method of install. And upload a proper install

    Search Ebay they have base retainer clips for for most LED Bulb kits. Then you can connect as normal via the clip

    That is not how it's done.

    Well if you do not use anything to hold the bulb it will jump on uneven road and distract other drivers. Just the rubber dust seal isn't enough dear :/

      The rubber dust seal does hold this particular model bulb system perfectly, no bouncing or shifting or light movement at all. Once I switched to the rubber vs trying to get the clip to hold - I was golden! I've had these in since before I did this video (about 6 months) and I'm still happy with them!

      Quality Reviewer Well not really, but its too complex for me to explain it in a youtube comment...

    So you did not clip the bulbs no locking clip? ? Or no retainer for this led light bulb? So the rubber will hold the bulbs. I don't think it's strong enough .

      Hi Mike! I did note the below in the description:
      **I ended up adjusting how I installed it, I used the bracket vs the rubber part in the end. See my review for details!

      The direct answer to your question is yes, the rubber does hold it just fine, no issues with the hold, it just keeps them from being all the way in the socket so not very bright. I switched to just the locking clip. No moisture issues so far (the worry of no rubber), and I've had one regular bulb with no rubber for quite some time with no moisture issues either.
      I hope this helps!

      Quality Reviewer yeah.. The metal clip won't work either cuz the original has a plastic holder terminal. ( white color ) so the metal clip is too wide.

    • @qualityreviewer5207
      @qualityreviewer5207  7 років тому +1

      You don't use the white plastic holder terminal anymore...

      Correct, skip the metal clip, and the white plastic part I think you are referring to (2:21 in video) was what the original bulb slid into and the power for the light connected to the back of that...that is eliminated with this install.

    did u remove the metal clip?

    • @qualityreviewer5207
      @qualityreviewer5207  7 років тому

      I did not remove it :) It's still there, just not hooked on anything, it's not in the way. (I presume you're referring to the metal clip that in it's original state would hold the bulb in place.)

    Wouldn’t it be easier to goto the dealership and get it done correctly. I would rather pay a professional to do it than not doing it correctly,
