- Over the weekend of April 5-8, we had Berniefest 3.5. This is an event in itself and it involves many people, from all over the US, to come down to the shop and help work on a vehicle. This time we took an 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis, hacked it all up and even bagged it, to fit a 1949 Lincoln body. We retained the entire chassis and even kept the heating/ac and cruise control. This vehicle will be the new "baby mobile" for the shop.

Building my 51 four door from a basket case body( I’m in Australia not many left here) onto crown platform with a quad cam Toyota v8. Have channeled it a little and planning a mild chop, have done a 3 1/2 chop on a four door years ago and unlike most we reworked roof crown to better flow into the laid forward rear glass and didn’t stretch it between trunk and roof. I bet getting the firewall and upper cowl area neat is going to be a challenge..I’m part way through a similar build with a 51 Ford on a Toyota crown platform
I did a bit of measuring before and it basically laid right on top. I'll weld inside of it and get it sealed up and I'm good to go.
