HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Just a question mate, does your respirator have its oxygen supply?
I was taught in the army and then as a shotblaster that even the best filter respirators, though they stop smoke, cant help against fumes, as they displace oxygen as a gas and will go straight through.
I see its outside and you've veen doing this for years now just fine but anyone who wants to follow in your footsteps who hasnt got the same kind of space might get caught out by noxious fumes :)

I deliver to a Stainless steel mill Alot. It's 😎 to see it on the small scale. And I'm amazed at all the minerals that go into making metal. There's like 24 big sheds with different minerals in them. I haul nickel ore. Some comes from New Caledonia. Down in your neck of the woods.

Always love the slag or dust melts. What's funny about you finding food in the dirt is when I was a kid I use to have weird dreams where if you put your cereal under a tree outside it stays fresh longer.

I love the new place, especially the new shelves for the stack. I've been waiting to see what you would do with the mixed slag jar and I was not disappointed. The melted bars were a really beautiful colour and the casting on the haunted chocolatier bars came out so nice.
