William, I stayed in KL for several weeks a few years ago, also been a few times. There is much more to it. I think you would enjoy Chinatown. The Batu caves is a must, very beautiful and spectacular - not so far away from KL and you will get a lot of views on your channel if you make a video there! If You have more time I strongly recommend you visit Penang island both for its beauty and the food (the best in all Malaysia). Also Malacca is another beautiful place to visit for a few days. Enjoy!

Nasi Lemak is the best!! Fried chicken, coconut rice, sambal chili sauce, roasted peanuts, cucumber, egg, anchovies. American who loves Malaysia here :)
I went to Kuala Lumpur myself a few years ago and have to agree, it is a very cool, very clean city! But I also agree that after looking at nothing but huge buildings for a few days, and constantly walking around very busy roads, I did get a little tired of it quite quickly! Great video though, it was nice to see the place again!
Did you go to the Botanical Gardens, one of the many gardens that surround KL, take a walk around that area where there's the Bird Park, a fantastic Islamic Museum, National Mosque and National Monument etc, etc? These are all within the city. Or the Eco Jungle at the KL Tower? In there, you won't see skyscrapers but just tropical rain forest. Plenty of museums too and hidden gems that you may stumble upon as you walk around. KL underrates itself. A visitor, or even a local, will need to explore to know its true worth.
"nothing but huge buildings" urgh? KL is a happy family city. There are a lot of things you can do. Start with hopping onto the GoKL bus for free anywhere in the city that brings you around the city. Get someone to show you the interesting and wonderful KL, a Unesco heritage village in central KL, that connects by Saloma Lintasan Bridge (without pillars) to KLCC. KL was designed to be a city in a garden. Violent crime is generally pretty low, although travelers should watch out for pickpockets in the big city. Kuala Lumpur is considered to be one of Asia’s safest cities after Singapore and Tokyo. Anyway, a lot of migrants fill the labor in the city. ShopKeeper, minding the counters, waiting for the tables, petty traders, etc. Nothing against them, but just be careful they used to hustle tourists to buy. Besides that, it is the most peaceful country. A city where you can find theme parks in a building from Roller Coaster to wind tunnel to skating the ocean waves. A Petting Zoo is nearby in Selayang, you can feed the crocodiles, play with snakes, and feed various animals. The best-rated zoo in South East Asia. Ride the the helicopters around KL starting from a layback park in Titiwangsa Park. Masjid Jamek is one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur. The mosque sits at the confluence of the Sungei Klang and Sungei Gombak rivers. The rivers that started KL in the 1800s. The bazaar outside is also well worth a visit. The famous Dataran Merdeka or Independence Square is just a bridge away- waving the biggest flag. Eateries are everywhere, the famously cheap ones are at Jalan Alor. All within walking distance of Bukit Bintang the Shopping center of Kuala Lumpur. That is why Traveller Advisors said Malaysia is the food heaven of the world. KL or Malaysia has been the sixth most visited country in the world since 2022. Please comeback and enjoy Malaysia again what you might have missed.

Hi William We were there last year and loved the bird park and also that Batu Caves are easy to get by subway from downtown and also the Buddhist Temple on top of the hill. Thanks for all the great info!

Good video. Footage is not notch as usual. No ones does it better on their travel vlogs. Kuala Lumpur seems amazingly low cost compared to North America and Europe. Really amazing how little you paid for the meal at NZ Curry House ($8 USD and change). Rent at $700 a month for a modern apartment with gym and pool is pretty good for city living. I almost got vertigo from your shots looking down from the apartment and pool. No head for heights. Looking forward to seeing where you go next.
