There's a series of Mecha Anime in the 90s called the Brave (Yuusha) Series, it's has scrapped Transformers Designs from Takara but instead of scrapping them they introduce it as a separate toyline and made a deal with Sunrise (the studio behind Gundam)...hope you guys react to the openings or the Transformation scenes from those... Love the Content...Stay Awesome 😁
FYL, the entire series of Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo from these clips can be found for free, subtitled on UA-cam. They're really a great fun watch if you've ever seen them before and like some classic 90s anime. I also believe Transformers Zone, Transformers Masterforce and Transformers Headmasters may also be on here subbed as well. The one with the firetruck Optimus Prime was called Transformers Robots in Disguise in the US. No idea if it's actually anywhere currently.
"Did Bumblebee turn into a jet?" That was his cybertronian hover-car form, which was only in the very first episode of the show! Cool huh? I was always fascinated by their rarely seen cybertron forms as a kid.
There was a knife shop my dad started going to when I was 6 in the Chapel Hills mall in Colorado Springs, and I've never been that into knives but I just enjoyed hanging out with my dad. And I remember walking into that shop with him and seeing the original Transformers series playing on a ceiling-mounted CRT up in the corner of the shop by the entrance. I remember something like lightning shot through me in that exact moment, I didn't fully understand just yet but it's like I just instinctively knew I was watching something timeless.
These transformers anime spinoffs is just marvelous. I remember watching masterforce and victory in the early 90s and was glued to the tv. Man brings back memories
A lot of beast wars toys werent able to be included in the beast wars show because they didnt have the budget to make the detailed 3d models for every character- But this left loads of characters open for the japanese anime teams to use for their original BW sequels.
32:35 Optimus Prime introduces himself, as his name in the previous Japanese animated series was "Convoy" This is an interesting statement because Optimus Prime was not familiar to Japanese people at the time.
There's also an amusing joke in the first episode, about how long it is. In English, it's just four syllables, but in Japanese it's eight. O pu ti ma su pu rai mu Bumblebee complains it's too long, and tries coming up with a nickname. Settling on Oputi.
@@gryphman I agree:) By the way, the first series I saw was Beast Wars, but since I didn't know about truck convoy in the past, I always thought it meant "Kong-boy".🤣🤣🤣
Takara ignored Hasbro's G1 Season 4 called The Rebirth, took the Headmaster concept and the same robot characters, and created their own fourth season called Headmasters creating a split continuity. Rather than aliens wearing suits that transformed into the heads and weapons, Takara introduced new human sized Cybertronians who created bodies called Transtectors. In the follow-up fifth season Masterforce there were several humans who used special bracelets to merge with Transtectors. They also introduced the Pretenders. Autobots took the form of humans to disguise themselves while some Decepticons took the form of demons. Overall while G1 in the west had four seasons, Japan had nine. Masterforce was followed by Victory. Then the one you remarked as Z was Zone. This was an OVA, the only animated episode of the series, while the rest was shown in TV Magazine. The last two series called Battlestars, and Operation Combination were also in said magazine. Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo were made to fill the gap as seasons 2 and 3 of Beast Wars were still in development. BWII featured Lio Convoy's Maximals vs. Galvatron's Predacons. BWNeo had Big Convoy, and Magmatron (who has a new figure under the current Legacy line which is available now) I like when you remarked "was that Cybershark?", and technically you were correct. Gelshark (known as Sky-Byte in the English dub) is a repaint of Transmetal Cybershark. While Car Robots has a number of new molds, many of the other characters are repaints of G1, G2, and BW toys. Transformers Go! as I recall is just 6 episodes, as a sort of alternate mini-series sequel to Prime. Each of the six new Autobot toys came with a pack-in dvd containing an episode.
You guys rock! You hold it down as adults and channel your inner child to keep the memory of these shows alive. Keep up the good work. Oh, and those Japanese theme songs bop. Side note: if you haven't reviewed the 86 Transformers movie, make it so.
I grew up on the American Transformers theme. It's like a part of me. The Japanese music reminds me of old school anime songs, which I've been listening to for all of my adult life. Scramble City takes place before the movie, but after season 2. The Headmasters theme is sung by Kageyama Hironobu who also sings Dragon Ball Z songs. As a kid season 3 confused me, but nothing upset me more than the cancelation of Transformers.
Usually the Japanese openings are sick but wtf was that Transfomers Prime opening 😂 That show is definitely my favourite and I think it’s all round the best as it combines the best of Bayverse and G1, definitely say it’s worth watching
Fun fact about season 3 of Transformers: originally, Ultra Magnus was supposed to replace Optimus as the leader, but his toy was unpopular among children when they did some tests while Hot Rod, who'd go on to succeed Optimus, was the most popular autobot figure during these tests. However, the change was made so late into production that they already had done stuff with magnus as the leader, which includes toy commercials which later got used in tje Japanese version of G1 season 3
A little fun fact about transformers animated, one of the autobots in the opening there is ironhide who never joins the main team cause the show got cancelled before he joined which is crazy cause we got a spoiler for future episode that we never got
Y’all have to react to all the Japanese Beyblade Intros. The latest series (Beyblade X) has a Phenomenal intro called Prove (sung by One OK Rock). Keep up the awesome work!
Headmasters in a neat twist did a crossover with the 80s toyline battle beasts that is a transformers spin-off in japan! As for beast wars Japan had a long delay for seasons 2 and 3 as it needed both seasons to fill the episode order so two anime shows were made to fill in the wait. Neat thing is the beast wars 2 anime got a theatre film that crossed over with the original beast wars show with characters from both. Yes, Japan got an animated beast wars film that america never got! Masterforce is a really fun show by the way with many transformers we got the toys but never saw in animation. It also could kill characters off something the american show couldn't do at the time.
Tony Todd has worked on Transformers before, TWICE. The first time was as The Fallen in his Revenge movie, (the 2009 one,) and a few years later they brought him back for the second season of Transformers Prime as a character called Dreadwing. (Don't get too attached...)
It's funny you believe the Japanese intros tell you more about what's going to be in the show, because boy let me tell you, a lot of those intros, you see them then watch the shows, they are NOTHING like what you'd expect. Especially Beast Wars. In the US it was a pretty drama filled series. In Japan, they turned it into a comedy with their dub. That Transformers Animated into, NOTHING in that intro represented the show itself.
Actually those opening has some versions in it like 1-4 ver per opening or Ening songs to avoid spoilers especially characters that will apear in the series
in japanese has 2 type mecha anime call 1. super robot = mazinger z, getter robo, grendizer, combatter v, ideon, evagelion, gaogaigar and a lot of many series 2. real robot = gundam, dunbine, xabungle, l gaim, dragonar, macross(or you US known as robotech marcross is original copyright that have issue for long term that not like super sentai and power ranger) and a lot of series

leave it to JAM Project to make Transformers Animated's opening FIRE!!!
Jam project are legends! Their songs always hit so hard!👍
"Did Bumblebee turn into a jet?"
That was his cybertronian hover-car form, which was only in the very first episode of the show! Cool huh? I was always fascinated by their rarely seen cybertron forms as a kid.
The "dinosaurs" in the Victory intro were actually Pretender shells, used by a Decepticon group known as the Dinoforce.

I’ve been requesting this for MONTHS and you guys finally delivered!
Thank you!!!🔥🔥🔥
That's hella neat!
Have you guys know/react to Digimons Stuff? Would love to see your reaction. Especially the Japanese Opening!
47:53 That caught me so off guard when they started dancing XD

Masterforce is sooooo good. And the theme tune for Zone is *chef's kiss*

Because it is literally sing by the singer that sing the dragon ball opening

Headmasters and powermasters.😊Great reaction from real fanboys.Awesome collection by the way.😊😊😊
A Transfomers 1986 video would be awesome!
Whether it's Japanese or English, the 80s ones are my favorites. Beast Wars II and Neo had good songs too.
Tony Todd did voice work on transformers prime as a decepticon
Y’all have to react to all the Japanese Beyblade Intros. The latest series (Beyblade X) has a Phenomenal intro called Prove (sung by One OK Rock). Keep up the awesome work!
G1, Beast Wars, and TF Prime was my SH*T!!! And that Japanese theme for TF Prime was nice!!!!
