Hello, they keep blocking me for 7 days on and off every month. they give me a community guidelines on a video from like months ago and call it dangerous acts? same video everybody stitch i appeal it and win but they keep the block on. Yes it is because there are just some who get lots of views
Before advertising, our posts were getting 300-1000 views per video (we've only been on TikTok for about a year). We decided to advertise one of our better posts during the holidays. It went great - 6000 views and several hundred likes with lots of traffic to our website. But after advertising, all videos we post are now getting under 20 views.
Anecdotal conclusion: TikTok algorithm sees that you pay once for views/exposure, then keeps views low to force accounts to continue advertising - and not just advertising sometimes or some posts. They're goal is to push accounts to advertise EVERY post to get ANY views at all. So in our experience - If you advertise, even one post, you may ruin your account's organic reach permanently.
I've been at 12.5 K for months yet I almost never get more than 400 views a video, regardless of engagement. My content is consistent so the only thing I can think of is just that TikTok isn't showing the video to enough people.

I’m going to something similar. When I had 300 followers, my TikTok’s would get 400 views within an hr. And just stop there. Now I have almost 1.5k and now I have 1 view per hour. And my posting Sched has not changed (2-4) times, the only thing that changed is that I gained followers
So true! and the bad part about it is when people see a video with low view they don't watch it they immediately turn off. Sad!
In summary, the 5 reason why your views on tiktok is low are:
1. People scroll past your videos immediately may be because of messy background
2. Your video quality is low
3. You have low engagement

5. You're using massive hashtags instead of niching down hashtags

this is so discouraging i used to get so many viral videos and like my content is way better than a loooot of content on my fyp but now it legit gets 0-500 views it’s actually quite embarrassing and makes me never wanna go on tiktok again like what’s wrong and why am i shadow banned, and i’ve madr 3 other accounts and it’s the exact same thing so idk what to do

Also let's keep in mind that tiktok is also now a pay to promote platform so it's in their best interest to keep views low so you'll pay. My videos used to start at 1000 views and go up from there. Now videos with the same look and feel start at 50 views and I get a message from TikTok asking if I want to pay to promote 🙄
That is ridiculous! Also, an ASMR channel that I watch said that when she goes live and people donate gifts, TikTok takes like 70% of that money! She said it’s better to give to her CashApp - because she gets to keep all of that but the small amount that they take.

Same, it's like they hooking you up at first. After that you need to pay such number of money to keep your consistency on the number of views your videos having on the first week of your journey to tiktok.
I definitely feel this for sure. I share art on TikTok and not to sound arrogant, but I see artists with lower quality work than mine get WAY more views than me and it’s incredibly frustrating

1. Base content on your mood, work level, and how much you have going on.
2. Remember, that it is absolutely normal to have views, that fluctuate. It is part of the process.
3. People can scroll through your video if your background is distracting. Keep your main zone of shooting videos tidy and organized.
This is happening to me. My content is funny but I'll see someone posting something not as funny or didn't put that much into it and they get thousands of views. I don't get it!

I disagree that these are the only reasons... they are definitely good points but I also believe tik tok in their funky algorithm limits how they pay your videos... no matter what I do mine will not go over 300

Ahhh good stuff. Started a business a month ago and had lots of success due to a somewhat viral video on TikTok but struggling with retaining views even close to that first video…this was SO helpful.
I’ve had consistent views, engagement, and follows for the past 2.5 months and the past week all of it has virtually died. Like going from gaining average 450 followers/day to 24 🥴. I’m trying to figure out the problem! I feel like I’m already doing these things but I’ll try harder/to incorporate them better!

Yes! This is me. I am new to tik tok and when I uploaded my shorts they did well, but when I uploaded longer content i edited out of my UA-cam videos they are doing horrible. Wondering if it is because of the thumbnails ?

Yeah the start is the hardest, as a kid I build and left Channel sometimes not even knowing how unbelievably lucky a channel with 1400subs is 😂😂 it’s all a matter of finding your first bubble/audience. When I uploaded a new video on tiktok my views got stuck on 6 views I know that if I delete my videos I won't get any views and I just wait for some more days but is still got stuck at 6 views idk why I hating tiktok now
This keeps happening to me I spend so long on my movie/tv show edit videos and get like 9 likes at most
What has happened to my account for 8+ weeks is that I get massive views in the first 15-45 minutes, and then it stops. About 6 months ago my videos would get about 10k views per hour and then go viral (1M+ views) overnight (I post them from 5-7pm). Since December, however, I have been getting like 30k views within 25 minutes, and then it stops, and I only get a few hundred or thousand views more. Isn't the high engagement in the beginning showing, that my videos are interesting to my followers, so why does it stop? I also changed the hook, so they would be interesting for people on the fyp as well, but it doesn't work. It's as if my videos won't grow any longer after the first hour. So strange... Does anyone else experience that? Oh, and some of the videos then go viral two-four weeks later, so it can't be the video. Almost feels like the algorithm flags my videos automatically 🤷🏽♀

Just wanted to share another viewpoint on the liking unless asked, I find I tend to want to “stand In the back of the room” and feel like I’m not really there sometimes if I’m in a new place and I find I do that figuratively online as well. I didn’t consider even liking this video, although I was enjoying it, until you asked to like, which I then immediately liked it. lol weird because I didn’t realize I was doing that online as well. So asking is important!

I'm a horror slasher cosplayer with mature crude humor content and since Halloween and spooky season is over I've had a drop in views. I do have the fluctuating views thing going on. I'm hoping when spooky season comes back around, #horrortok will be a trending hashtag again.
I Put a lot into my content and my views are always so low but my likes and comments ratios are great tik tok just doesn't show my content to anyone.
Basically TikTok has a certain time for people to post there videos. Wednesday 7am ,8am,11pm. But I believe that around the world in the all different countries that it changes every month.
I feel like tiktok is like holding me because I am in Central American I have more than 80,000 likes and my hashtag has 400,000 view and 3,700 followers but my videos don’t reach more than 3,000 views the maximum but regularly is just up to 1,600 I tried every single thing the matrix the schedule of the upload , the good tags etc I will pay close attention to this video
No value is a lie because everyone is UNIQUE, there are 99% chance that there are better creators unknown by the internet.

I caught a guy trying to help me by 'liking' 100+ videos in a space of 3 minutes. I had to beg him to please stop because he is essentially knee-capping my content. I can go through and delete each and every clip he sabotaged now because TikTok will never show those clips to anyone ever again. The second person to do this to me today alone and the 5th for the week.

I did REALLY well right off the bat, then suddenly my content that was equivalent to my previous content just stopped preforming. I’ve been experimenting for a couple weeks and it’s literally not changed a thing good or bad. It’s driving me nuts. Even a recent video that was at more seconds watched than it was long and 70% watch the whole video. It got 27 views. WHAT.

Same hashtags and everything. So, for some reason i must be shadow banned on some level. But im making it to the FYP page? I just started on TikTok and I’m trying to use it for my small business. I had one get 3,000+ views but the rest are maybe getting 80 😞. I’m showing my process and using hooks to see the finished product. I was using filters that make things brighter and look cleaner but in order to showcase more true color in my tie dye sweaters, I had to take the filters off. Hopefully I get it figured out because I plan on launching my business in August
