  • This video reviews some of the exercises and activities you can use to reduce the symptoms of motor-based dysgraphia and a child's discomfort when writing.
    The three key components include:
    1. Improve dissociation of the trunk from extremities
    2. Increase strength and coordination with resistive fine motor exercises
    3. Develop muscle synergy for pencil control using pencil control exercises and appropriate pencil grips as needed to correct grasp patterns during retraining.

Not only for kids😊 to try out. I find that because I need to concentrate fully on the production that my mind doesn't have the space for constructing sentences, word choice, argument construction, etc. Thx for content

That is definitely true. The more efficiently your fingers work together and can form letters, the easier it is to focus on content.

We've started these exercises bc we can't get in anywhere, so thank you! How often should they be done?

Ideally, 3-4 times per week. I like to recommend that parents do them as a warm-up before doing homework or even in between completing work for two different subjects if homework time is challenging.
