Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

Several years ago I went through a series of severe temptations and spiritual warfare in my mind upon seeking to draw closer to God. I was tormented by blasphemous, foul, and enduring thoughts that seemed to never go away no matter how hard I tried to not think about them. I prayed to God so many times while going through my trial and though it was difficult, it presented me with the opportunity to draw near to God when otherwise I may not have . During this period, I focused more on the word of God which helped me discern what was right and wrong in my mental delusions. It got to the point that I was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a mental illness; being put on medication (which I'm still on to this day). I thank God for bringing me through the trial because I may not sought after him the way I do now.
To those who are going through unimaginable temptations of the mind I assure you that God is faithful and that He will bring you through your trial. Don't go weary in doing good; (Gal. 6:9) do not give up or into your temptations; God will make a way of escape every time if you wait on him. Also, as Spurgeon preached know that your temptations and thoughts that come to your mind are not sin but a result of it. Even if you do given in to the temptation God is gracious, merciful, and forgiving if you confess it to him. (1 John 1:9)
If you're not a Christian and are going through this consider it God's grace for Him to reveal your sin to you. Seek after Him; believe in His Son Jesus Christ, confess, repent, and be baptized into the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and you will be saved. (Acts 2:38) Then you will have the gift of the Holy Spirit and have the promise(s) of God that " No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, God is faithful that He won't allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear but with the temptation also provide a way of an escape that you will be able to stand up under it." (1 Cor. 10:13)
Disclaimer: Though you may become saved from your sins the consequences of your sins may still remain. Also, you must renew your mind because your flesh has to be crucified of it lustful desires. Upon being saved your temptation will not stop but you will have help to endure. Only at the last day or upon death will you ultimately be free from temptation and the desires of the flesh.
