Omg. The way some young hairdressers think a mature woman should look. So pleased I have a reliable hairdresser who doesn’t think I should look like this at 67.
I’m a hairdresser of nearly 50 years .. word of advise , get used to sitting on a chair to do close work, it will kill your legs and back like mine if you don’t . It’s not fun later on!
Wow, people! Why so negative and critical? The woman's hair was wild to begin with, and now was much better! She has really good thick hair, with lots of shine and body. Perhaps she's trying to grow it out to gray, which would be a knock out if you ask me. Or maybe she just wanted it cut and planned to color it later. Most people cannot afford Christopher Hopkins the Makeover guy. Why hurt people's feelings just because you think you coulda shoulda woulda done better? This haircut may well have been the one and ONLY thing this woman has been able to do for herself in weeks! If you can't say something nice, just shut up!
Fiona Fowlks I totally agree with everything you say! I have been reading these negative comments with amazement! The beautician was very thorough, it's a good haircut. Whether or not it suits the client is beside the point. Part of me wishes we could see the hairstyles of the commenters!
I agree with Fiona Fowkes. What a bunch of wankers! I thought the beautician was very thorough. Maybe the headline was wrong, maybe it wasn't supposed to be a Pixie. Maybe it was exactly what the client asked for!
How can a hairdresser let a client leave with such growths ??? It's crazy. And the hairstyle is like from the 70s of the last century. Even an older woman wants to be beautiful.

If she was growing it out it would have needed a much shorter cut & def not mid parting. I’ve mine grown out had short pixie cut & highlights on the lengths
KATEso TONER I’m growing my gray out at the moment and I didn’t get a pixie with my highlights. It looks fine long. It’s all in how the stylist integrates the highlights with the gray. You want a stylist that knows what she’s doing.
If she's growing her hair out there is a product that caught is called Fanci Full Chocolate Kiss is the color in that would have looked a lot better on her Roots as she was growing her white hair out
First of all never take a phone call when your with a client..thats rude..that looks like a wedge cut.. and the man next to you is going to have back problems.. you can lift the chair so you can cut completely..
When I think pixie I think Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn Mia Farrow. This was a 70s hairdo for sure. It was Dorothy Hamill AKA 1976 and it did not flatter her at all with that big gray streak running down the middle of her head
I had a pixie cut and mine did not look like hers did. The front looked unfinished and the bottom at the back looked uneven and what's with the root color??
I have thin, fine hair and I wanted a 1970s shag...like Jane Fonda in Klute...I had it back then and I thought I’d try it again...well the hairdresser started using thinning shears on my already straggly hair...I just said I’m sorry I can’t do that. So I left. I’m sure she could do a good job w people who had good hair but someone like me who tries to do everything to plump mine up...don’t start thinning it even more!
I thought the same thing. I thought this was awful. I would hope she’s trying to get this client to stop coloring her hair black. And a center part? Nooooo
No way, this can't be a school. She's in a hurry like she's going to miss the bus to get home. Cut a bit or more from here and from there.Just a big mess.

It has to be! Six months before I retired as lead pharmacist for CVS, I was training a pharmacist from Eastern Europe and she was rough and abrupt just like this so called stylist. And she treated the customers rather rudely also. I told the pharmacy district manager it might just be a cultural thing, but she needed to be transferred somewhere with a large Slovak demographic, not in North Carolina, USA. He sort of hung around for a couple of days pretending to inventory our Schedule I, schedule II and Schedule III meds, and she disappeared.
This is certainly seems to be from a country that is misunderstanding what a pixie was in the 70’s. I am guessing a language barrier of sorts. For some reason I am guessing Russia or Croatia, Slovenia. Just getting those feels.
That's not a pixie hair cut. Also why didn't she show lady turned around with final haircut? Haircut looks terrible! Lady in seat didn't look too overjoyed either.
Poor lady. That is terrible. Look at all the hairdresser's hair. Hmmm How long ago did they go to hairdressing school. They prob only know the basics, from 30, 40 years ago.
Does the woman have a wide parting or is it coloured, I always cut my own hair. Oh and what is it she is using towards the end to trim bits of the hair.
I don't understand these comments. Towards the end of the video, she looks pleased with her cut, if you ask me. And I think it's a good haircut, flattering, a good shape, sort of Dorothy Hamill like but not as wedgy.
Observation: Dude cutting in the background next to main stylist: 1) needs to drink a few Red Bulls before coming to work & 2) learn to use the pump/hydraulic on his chair or else go audition for Quasimodo at the local theater in a few yrs.
Lot of negative comments rude people. There is a kinder way to say things. I as well thought pixie was a bit different and would have liked to see full finish hair cut of the woman and her thoughts
Most of the styles are lovely but my hair grows at such a rapid rate and is so thick.. .. non would do .. I used to volunteer at the local college . They loved how every other week whatever had been done had grown out already. I go every 6 week to my local salon ..I might get one week when my hairs good . The rest is it to short ( I asked for that) then it’s just right to looking like it should be shaved off. (I’ve done that to )
I cut my own. Looks a lot better than this. The last 15 or so salon cuts have been disappointing and I always wonder why I paid for cuts I had to fix, if they were even fixable. True hairstyling is an art. This ain't.
Did not even part hair properly while cutting...just grabbed handfuls and chopped away. Why don’t they help advise w a cut that would help w more volume. Guess you get what you can pay for. Which is why I’ll prolly just shave my head. Haha. And because I can’t leave house...yet. Hair is down to hips and it’s gotten so bad after being laid up for so long...I may have no choice. Tho ever since Sinead O’Connor, I’ve wanted to shave my head. A bucket list kinda thing. What better time!?

The best thing about that haircut is the fact it’s grown out by now, I hope she went somewhere else for her next one.

56 years old with silver long hair and i LOVE IT
Oh, I’m crying for this poor lady 😭😭😭
What is the matter?
This is a modified wedge (Dorothy Hamilton) from the 80’s. I cut many of them. A pixie is much shorter think Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn are iconic.
I had a Dorothy Hamilton haircut back in the early to mid 70’s.🔥

I think that was areas where she had bald areas. I noticed it several times when she would part the clients hair.
This is not a pixie, sorry. Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby had a
pixie. This is a modified wedge

Worst haircut for a pixie I have ever seen!!! OMG
I have some concerns with her neckline... I’m a retired hairdresser, I’ve seen better cuts.

I had a pixie cut and mine did not look like hers did. The front looked unfinished and the bottom at the back looked uneven and what's with the root color??
Sorry but the woman already has thin-ish hair ..so what’s she doing with those thinning shears??? Why!! I don’t get it ??
She uses the thinning shears to try and cover up the mess the made.
