The reason why Sophie won is because Coach got most of the heat for taking charge of the Upolu's deceptiveness. He made deals with everyone and never kept his word, he was criticized for using Christianity to manipulate his tribe and making them afraid, and Sophie exposed all of the lies that he made when he wasn't owning his game. Sophie came into Winners at War knowing the criticism that you guys gave her, but she managed to prove otherwise that she deserved to win over Coach even though she didn't think that was the case which was a complete understatement when she said that her second run was disappointing, she literally played a better social and strategic game than she did in South Pacific and she also found an idol for herself.

Seasons 21-24 were just awful. These 4 seasons plus Worlds Apart, Ghost Island, Thailand, Fiji, Caramoan & HvHvH are imo the top 10 worst seasons of Survivor.

I love Sophie. I think she's a very underrated player and character. For those of you who think she didn't deserve to win, please listen to her Dom & Colin Winners Retrospective Podcast. It's a great insight to her strategy and shows a lot of her personality that wasn't shown in South Pacific. That whole season's editing was crappy. There were many colorful characters that were thrown under the bus in favour of Coach, Ozzy, Cochran and Brandon Hantz (ugh). I mean, I would've rather see more of Christine, Stacey and Mikayla than Coach praying, Ozzy fishing and Brandon having a meltdown.

I thought he was clearly player of the season. Played within the theme of the season and won like 10+ challenges. He would have gotten the Savaii votes (except maybe Cochran) and Rick. Sophie beat him at 4 so it’s all just fun to think about now.
It has to do with dynamics: Ozzy wins EVERY SINGLE F3 MATCHUP. No contest. Savaii all vote for him(except Cochran), and the biggest threat to winning was actually Brandon, whose morality and mental state would likely lose him the game, followed by Rick. Ozzy was so popular, and liked by Savaii. And his challenge prowess would be praised and he’d be given credit for knocking out Christine and preventing and Upolu advantage
Creative_Commander I think Christine would’ve stayed loyal to Savaii unlike Cochran. Clearly at the duels she showed she *hated* Upolu. But personally, I feel 3.0 is the worst version of Ozzy. Not in terms of the game, the terms of television. Also, off topic, but I think Coach wins in a final 3 between Cochran and Albert (why Cochran you may ask, well he flipped on his entire tribe. And Savaii had 6 members, so if Cochran makes final 3, 5 Savaii will be on jury. Get frustrated at Cochran’s flip, vote coach. Not to mention Sophie didn’t like him either)
Legendary Singh Legendary Singh according to a postgame interview, she would be open to Savaii, but if compelled she’d go to Upolu. And given that they’d still recognize Cochran as someone that’d try to mislead them, Coach still likely convinces him and leaves Christine in a 7-5 minority, or a 7-5/8-4 majority if she flips. And yes, Coach absolutely wins a Coach/Albert/Cochran F3. Albert was seen as pandering, even though postgame stuff shows mostly that it was real, and Savaii never votes Cochran(Whitney hated him, Dawn didn’t like it, Keith was in disbelief lol, Ozzy’d think he’s a weasel, like how he hated Parv in Micronesia). Edna votes Coach for sure, Brandon likely stays on Coach, and Sophie likely goes Coach but like 1/10 goes Albert. But yeah Coach sweeps

Lucien Tina has expressed she wants to come back on the show, she got a no for an answer. And many older people have been on this show before. Vecepia wasn’t contacted at all despite her wanting to be on season 40. Neither were Jenna or Natalie White. I would still say Sophie played better games than most, if not all of these ladies. So she does not suck otherwise she wouldn’t have been invited. Easy as that.

Coach was so much more tolerable in this season than he was in Tocantins and Heroes vs Villains. He formed The Family Alliance on Day 1 and stuck with it to the end. He seemed to have learned from his past mistakes, didn't tell any of his wild stories about being raped by pygmies, and played with honor and integrity. He should have won South Pacific.

Whitney didn't like how Coach used Christianity to manipulate his tribe, and warmed up to Sophie more after her FTC speech.
You didn’t miss a darn thing. This season is one of the most hated when it came out. All 3 finalists sucks and they voted for the least worst one. The funny thing is over time you see more good hit pieces for Sophie online. The network is probably trying to push her in a better image to hype up the season. Try looking for any negative reviews of her, ain’t easy like before.

After rewatching this season. Sophie did absolutely nothing besides win a few challenges. Everyone came to Coach for the final decision in who’s getting voted. He was the driving force from beginning to end
If you watch the season and pay close attention, you will see that Sophie was calling a lot of the shots. For example, she spearheaded the Cochran vote and she orchestrated the Brandon vote.

I have watched every season of survivor, and I think Sophie is a great winner, but this has to be one of my least favorite seasons. The Christian cult that just ran through was ugly to watch.
I thought it was really interesting thing to see. It gave an insight on how cults like it are run and gave a simplified view of how they deal with and treat people they want to take out or groom and invite in. Coach literally put himself in such a powerful leader position with it, but made it all invalid when he tried to argue that it was a genuine move and not a game move. Not something the people you lied to and voted out would want to hear when you ruined their chance of a lifetime.
In a weird way, I found it just as entertaining as it was disturbing. And seeing Sophie being there like "wtf" the entire time while they did their prayer thing was hilarious :D

He seriously deserved to win. He’s like one of three runner ups who I thought deserved it more. He dominated strategy in the camp and had ozzy and his group on the ropes the whole game. He was able to flip Cochran and squish any of Alberts attempts to take over the game through his loyal ally Sophie who did everything he said and yet the jury minus Cochran, Edna, and Rick couldn’t see that he was the best player or at least couldn’t get past the fact that Coach of all survivor players beat them all

Creative_Commander I think Christine would’ve stayed loyal to Savaii unlike Cochran. Clearly at the duels she showed she *hated* Upolu. But personally, I feel 3.0 is the worst version of Ozzy. Not in terms of the game, the terms of television. Also, off topic, but I think Coach wins in a final 3 between Cochran and Albert (why Cochran you may ask, well he flipped on his entire tribe. And Savaii had 6 members, so if Cochran makes final 3, 5 Savaii will be on jury. Get frustrated at Cochran’s flip, vote coach. Not to mention Sophie didn’t like him either)

And given that they’d still recognize Cochran as someone that’d try to mislead them, Coach still likely convinces him and leaves Christine in a 7-5 minority, or a 7-5/8-4 majority if she flips. And yes, Coach absolutely wins a Coach/Albert/Cochran F3. Albert was seen as pandering, even though postgame stuff shows mostly that it was real, and Savaii never votes Cochran(Whitney hated him, Dawn didn’t like it, Keith was in disbelief lol, Ozzy’d think he’s a weasel, like how he hated Parv in Micronesia). Edna votes Coach for sure, Brandon likely stays on Coach, and Sophie likely goes Coach but like 1/10 goes Albert. But yeah Coach sweeps

He didn't have to vote out anyone, he didn't have to betray his alliance, he didn't have to play mind games or strategize against them. They got to chill and be friendly at Exile until the challenge and then go to jury mad at the people that voted them out. It's not that Ozzy had an insane social game that made people like him, it's that everybody else had to backstab, betray and vote out people.

Coach was so much more tolerable in this season than he was in Tocantins and Heroes vs Villains. He formed The Family Alliance on Day 1 and stuck with it to the end. He seemed to have learned from his past mistakes, didn't tell any of his wild stories about being raped by pygmies, and played with honor and integrity. He should have won South Pacific.

Brandon turned against Coach after learning he lied to him about how the idol was found to manipulate him. He made it seem like a miracle when he had it the whole time. Ozzy was upset with Coach for taking him out in the final 4 and not keeping his word. I think the loss of his vote ticked off Coach the most. Whitney didn't like how Coach used Christianity to manipulate his tribe, and warmed up to Sophie more after her FTC speech.

After rewatching this season. Sophie did absolutely nothing besides win a few challenges. Everyone came to Coach for the final decision in who’s getting voted. He was the driving force from beginning to end
If you watch the season and pay close attention, you will see that Sophie was calling a lot of the shots. For example, she spearheaded the Cochran vote and she orchestrated the Brandon vote.

I have watched every season of survivor, and I think Sophie is a great winner, but this has to be one of my least favorite seasons. The Christian cult that just ran through was ugly to watch.
I thought it was really interesting thing to see. It gave an insight on how cults like it are run and gave a simplified view of how they deal with and treat people they want to take out or groom and invite in. Coach literally put himself in such a powerful leader position with it, but made it all invalid when he tried to argue that it was a genuine move and not a game move. Not something the people you lied to and voted out would want to hear when you ruined their chance of a lifetime.
In a weird way, I found it just as entertaining as it was disturbing. And seeing Sophie being there like "wtf" the entire time while they did their prayer thing was hilarious :D

He was able to flip Cochran and squish any of Alberts attempts to take over the game through his loyal ally Sophie who did everything he said and yet the jury minus Cochran, Edna, and Rick couldn’t see that he was the best player or at least couldn’t get past the fact that Coach of all survivor players beat them all
