Mike LeDonne solo piano - Mary

Mike LeDonne performs his composition MARY, written for his daughter, from TOGETHER a Cellar Live recording with Eric Alexander .
My daughter Mary is disabled and has Prader Willi Syndrome. This composition is a portrait of how beautiful and wonderful she is and the love we have for her. It is in 2 parts, the first theme is from a suite I wrote for her when she was younger named Suite Mary and the middle section is something new I added to portray Mary's fun loving and free spirit now as a young woman.
My hope is to show disability in a positive light and not the negative one it is always seen in. Mary has been a joy and blessing to us. Yes she is a bit more work but as you can see the work pays off and the rewards are priceless.
